    Here is the mighty Jupiter, up-close and in color. We also swing by Saturn before calling it a night. Jupiter is one of the first things my Dad showed me through a telescope. I remember seeing a small shadow on it's surface cast by one of it's nearby moons.
    We will be closest to Jupiter on the 26th of September this year, making it appear slightly larger through a telescope. This will be a good time to have a look! If you miss this opportunity, don't worry, Jupiter is a great target for nearly half the year in the north. This is just the "best" time to see it. In 2023, we will come close again on November 2nd. And again on December 7th, 2024.
