No Room for Doubt by English songwriter Lianne La Havas is an easy song to learn but it's important to nail down the finger picking before you start learning the chords. I hope this video helps! Let me know if it has!!!
Thank you so much! I can't thank you enough. I am a HUGE fan of lianne la havas & beginner at guitar and I'd wanted to learn this song so bad for sooooo long. Thank you thank you! Lights up my soul
Thanks for the kind comment :) I hope you're getting the hang of the song
I remember 2 years ago
watching this tutorial
not being able to play it
and today, ahhh, what a relief to feel a whole lot of progress:)
thanks for the tutorial!
awesome. well done!
If you're also wondering about thoses chords, here they are:
Verse: G#6 A#6
Chorus: G#6 Gm7 Fm7 A#7
Outro: Cm7 G#7M Gm7 A#7
Man, thanks for breaking this down, but your chords were so unclear...
And the fact that you're not doing Barre chords was even more confusing for me.
Raphaël Hiribarne thanks for the comment, I always appreciate feedback. If you turn annotations on you will see tabs for each chord appear on your screen.
Also this video is aimed at people who don't know what a A#6, Cm7 or a G#7M (etc.) chord is.
Yeah, I also struggled, I got the verse part, but after that didn't really get the shapes espcially cause I use a classical guitar so I can't really thumb any string. Annotations are not offered to me as an option when I click on settings.
you rock dude. just found this song and you made the learning process very easy. thank you!
No worries! Thanks
Oh my god, you're an amazing teacher!!!! I would've never came up with how to play this song, at this stage of my guitar playing, had I been left to my own devices!! Thank you so much!!!!!! :) Definitely getting the hang of it!!!!! :) Appreciate your work, mate!!! :)
Wow, I'm happy it's helped you out! :) sorry the camera set up isn't perfect though! Maybe I will try some more of her music sometime :)
Thanks for this video, it really helps a lot to see someone showing the right finger positions, now I understand why it was so hard to play this :)
ur teaching me everything
Can't wait to learn this when I get home!!
Could you please add the tabs to the chorus and bridge parts? Thanks so much for this video!!
suuper suuper helpful I've been wanting to learn this song for a while. I think I figured out the chords in the chorus and outro but tabs would be super helpful! Thanks =)
+Chamarra McCrorey Hi Chamarra! glad you found it useful. If you are watching on a computer or perhaps even a tablet, you can turn on captions and tabs will appear throughout the video on the screen. Is this useful?
+TXF Music oh awesome didn't know that. I'll try it with the captions, thanks!
+Chamarra McCrorey of course, captions are a bit flimsy and don't always display properly. There are tabs on ultimate guitar too. here is one: tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/l/lianne_la_havas/no_room_for_doubt_ver2_tab.htm
+TXF Music sweet thanks for your help! I'll check these out
would you mind adding the tab during the chorus? how you did it for the first two? helped already a lot!
I'd love to play this but unfortunately my fingers are to weak and short and it makes me really sad
Take a technique class from a classical player and you might be able to play! I have short fingers too but its mostly technique and pherhaps a slimmer guitar neck?
About strength that is just practice! It's anyway all about practice and fun!
If you are young, your fingers will get stronger as you get older. And simply by playing more, your fingers will get stronger.
Could you give me a tab for the picking pattern please? I can't really see what your fingers are doing. I get the chords but not the finger picking.
hey there. If you turn on captions you'll see the tabs. Not sure it will display on a phone though...
I can't stretch my hands enough to get that index finger on fret 3 whilst the rest are on 5 and 6, and I have big hands! It must just need practice, but I feel practice won't fix biology haha
thank you so much for this! great tutorial.
