Why is the drivers headrest backwards?😮
Exactly my thought..looks very awkward and totally misses the engineer’s idea of SAHR (the anti whiplash headrest invented by Saab)
I shoulda turned it around for Kyle. Lol
I'm 6'3" and a big dude, as you can see. 😂 When I first started driving it, the headrest's bottom edges it hit my shoulders with every bounce, even at the highest lockpoint. Flipped it around and solved that problem. Eventually I will rebuild it with longer rods so it can go higher.
Another project to go after.

@@FragdinPenningsteps Thanks! I'm very lucky to own this one. The rims are TSW brand VX1 model. Not made anymore but you may find some used ones floating around out there.

Cracked a piston Yet ?? # 4 cyl is the Usual one.
GM did a piss poor mechanical redesign for the 235 engines.
Typically the first to fail were Viggens as they had Slightly More hp.

Fun fact if you didn't know: all of those 9-3 convertibles (even the Viggens) were built here in Finland, Uusikaupunki.

And yes 4 door and coupe Viggens also were built in Finland.
One of the highlights of being at SOC'23, was meeting @kylepancis . Watched him teach DIY and save Saabs for many years. His advice about dropping the pan, saved this B235R too.
So glad he wanted to take this lady for a spin. Even happier that he enjoyed it!
You shut off the AC so it wouldn't sap power, but doesn't the compressor clutch disengage at full throttle anyway?

I had one of these (not Viggen) and the scuttle shake was appallingly bad, the roof leaked and the brake rotors used to warp very soon after being replaced...
Should have got the GS or Abbot rescue brace kit, replaced the roof/made sure it was attached correctly, and an alignment.
What a gorgeous ride! I had a 1994 900 convertible. A different vehicle. I wonder how the stock Viggen compares to the 1994 900 turbo?
