Men like me? Please, don't go there. Her bars and lyrics didn't match the delivery. That's all I said. So if your statement of "if you have to act bad, you really aren't " is accurate, then the delivery should have matched the lyrics. In my personal opinion, they did not. It's really not any deeper than that. If you say she's not as polished, and I agree she's not as polished, then we agree on the same exact thing. Don't make this a "men like you" thing, I'm not that guy.
@@pauzeandrewind first I appreciate you’re responding to my concerns. Yes we’ve agreed on the her not being polished but the difference between us is it’s not always a bad thing to be polished. She’s unapologetically raw and to me that’s the best thing about her. To be honest you might not think that you’re doing the comparisons unfairly but you really are. It’s ok to have your opinions but where things went left doing the comparisons the way that you did with a broad brush is literally what men unconsciously do. I wasn’t at first was going to say anything but then I had to bring it to your attention. You praise one woman for being herself but dismissed another for doing the same, make it make sense. Just because it isn’t a style that you don’t like doesn’t make it right or wrong it’s just different. One man’s trash is another’s treasure. Be blessed King.🙏🏾
I totally understand, I feel you on that. I know it may not seem like I understand your perspective, but I do. And I respect your viewpoint and the insight on her being herself. I'm not dismissing that. Unpolished, to me, means you have a lot of things to work on. And all im saying is that it's noticeable to me. We've all been there at some point. I've been in the music industry 20 years now, still currently signed myself. I can only speak on the things that I know from personal experience, unlike most other reactors. But I've been called out for saying the same exact thing about the male rappers on this channel as well, that are far more popular or known. People gonna disagree or eat me alive no matter what lol but I think the broad brush you're speaking of is just my industry standard perspective. I've been on both sides of it, being in audition rooms and being told that the stage precense basically needed work, even though I was just being myself. On a stage, it didn't really work for the better. Therefore, I had to work on it. All these years later, I see many other others doing the same thing those execs noticed I was doing. I know everyone else's situation isn't indicative of my experience, but I can't speak on anything other than my perspective. So I don't mean anything by it, just sharing my thoughts across the board. Her bars were better than some of the others in this cypher, so I think the delivery could have helped seal the deal. Either way, I just wanted you to know I understand where you're coming from in totality.
