That's a real "it depends" kind of question. I happen to have a lot of large koi in my small pond, so I try to add some extra oxygen. If you only a few small fish, you probably don't need it.
Thanks! I wish I would have documented the creation of the pond! It's pretty simple though. Dig a hole 8x4x3ft then line it with rubber liner. At the corners are cedar 4x4s. That's basically it!
If you have a clean pond do you need to add a bubbler when it’s really cold for added oxygen? Cold water is pretty saturated with oxygen isn’t it?
