I love glass too.... My father was a Glazier. He cut the glass for stained glass windows, and put them together to build the most glorious windows. He made a 40 ft. tall window for our church, with a dove and rays of sun, etc... It is beautiful. My father made many stained glass windows and traveled over the US and installed them into many churches, cathedrals, businesses, and peoples houses. He once came home from the BLENKO factory and brought my mother 8 BLENKO bottles/vases home. My father also made stained glass lamps.... I have 3 lamps he made, and 1 of the BLENKO bottles. My father passed away 10 years ago, but I miss his, quiet, humble, strength.....
I think one of the many reasons so many are drawn to your channel is because the love of art, the love of creativity and the good that you have created by the thoughtful donations to charity. Helping others. In memory of Ian. 🙏🏻Beautiful, thoughtful gifts today. Thank you Stephanie and all the people at LaLande who make this world a better place.
Peacock pearls are also known as Tahitian pearls! They are actual pearls and highly collectible and valuable. They aren’t costume jewelry! Please treasure them. ❤
So very glad you enjoyed the book! Easton and Lyric were super excited to see it on the channel and hear you read their names. Philip is right, the whole idea for the book came from a doodle of the kids in a very Addam's family style.
Extraordinarily beautiful gifts, today. Yes, Nati should wear the "not as advertised" pearls. They are so lovely on her and deserve to be seen, not just at Christmas time.
As someone who never receives gifts the generosity simply overwhelms me. The very kind people who bless you all have a special place in heaven. I am also so very happy the deserving charities are also receiving much needed funds to do the wonderful work they do. Blessings all around.
Hello Lisa, I would love to send you a gift! I have a vintage/antique/handcrafted shop in a teenie town of 90 people in the Sacramento River Delta. Please let me know what kind of things you like! Sincerely, Ginny
When my son was 4, someone asked me what I got for Christmas. My son piped up with "Moms don't get presents" because he had never seen me get one at home. (divorced shortly thereafter). My heart went out to you when I read your comment. I am also overwhelmed by the generosity of those sending such wonderful gifts.
The generous gifts unwrapped each week show us how many precious and beautiful treasures have been crafted and brought into this world for all to enjoy and now will reside in an elegant French chateau, safe, secure and carefully preserved to delight each generation that follows.
That's wonderful to give to cancer research. My husband has been fighting brain, lung, and lymph node cancer. It's been a rough road but we have faith in our God above. Thanks for your videos' they sure do help.
Oooh Floret seeds!!! I grow cut flowers and Floret is THE go-to boutique specialty shop that is trendy here in the US. Her books, website, and educational resources are very inspirational.
The Peacock necklace is stunning on Nattie! The first one especially was jsut right for Nattie! The clors I think may well go with colors she may wear as I wear, the Blues, Greens and Teal, often and the beads soom to have those colors in them! Think for some reason the coloring is right Stephanie the ring you had one went perfectly with the Peacock purse! They wer all so lovely I could almost cry. That sounds odd, but they were such equiite gifts. The countess certainly lovely gifts and the seeds sound like they will do so great in the gardens. The scarf (Peacock) was truly out of this world beautiful! Ever single gift was so lovely! The charities are such wonderful choices. Micheal is a great shopper. The Murano glass beads do catch the color in Stephanie's eyes, an the scarf aswell. Very nice !
Our precious Ian! Such a beautiful soul! He loved working at LaLande. You could always tell from the smile on his face when you walked into the room and talked of his work. He just beamed. He knew he was loved and appreciated! I think of his girlfriend often and hope she is doing well. Gone but never forgotten. He will live on in your vlogs! Especially every time we see the coving and the tower and the beams in the entry way. RIP Ian! 💙🥰🙏🏻
It was an actor (John Hurley) who portrayed J. Peterman on Seinfeld, but yes he was portraying an actual person, John Peterman, who is the owner of the J. Peterman company ... haha, confusing ☺
I always think beautiful studio glass looks best in windows (that aren't often opened) when you don't have them out on tables, as the light plays beautifully with glass and translucency and glass looks lovely with any plant of flower one may have in a window, the nature outside etc, and is complimented by soft drapes. Pearls from actual oysters that size on a christmas tree, really? That's one previois tree. I'd use them with a thin turtleneck jumper, they look great on Nattie! That peacock shawl also looked stunning on the sofa in the video! Alot of very thoughtful gifts, beautiful and unique. Lovely contribuions to charities too. And being a bit light deprived atm the bright sunshine through the windows is such a cheerful sight! 😍☀️❤️
Amazingly, beautiful , generous gifts …… I have fallen in love with the Higgins vase , so beautiful, I want to cuddle it …..I would love to see it filled with flowers . The rest of my night will be spent googling Higgins , maybe stubble upon the exact same vase . Thank you for sharing and inspiring Xxx
Wow. What a stunning, fabulous, gorgeous and delightful box full to the brim of things peacock! 🦚🦚🦚 And, guess what? I have that peacock shawl as well, draped over my little anitque wooden drying rack in the bedroom! Mine has a soft pink backgound, and every time I look at it, which is every day 😆, I think of you, Stephanie. 🥰 The lovely delicate bead trim can be fragile, just as a wee word of precaution. Such special and breathtaking presents all 'round, as always! I delight in just watching you all open them. 😍 Love, Jacqueline from New Zealand 🤗
What a collection of lovely gifts! The blue peacock patterned Higgins bowl is simply stunning. So is the wonderful serving dish sent by Michael! And peacock beads? So exotic! Best is the news of all the charities that benefit from the ad revenue. So so kind and generous Stephanie. Have a most lovely month albeit the absence of your mum, Percy and others. December will soon be on your doorstep with Christmas cheer!
I laughed when Stephanie said that she used to think the past was in black and white. I definitely used to think as a kid that the world used to be black and white. In fact I remember watching The wizard of Oz as a very small child and thought that the part when the black and white turned to colour was when the world became coloured 😅. I must have been a mixed up kid 😊. My favourite films were always in black and white though.
Once you add white paneling to the room that now has mostly peacock wallpaper and just have the wallpaper in frames, you can decorate with some of your peacock things. That shawl would be wonderful in a frame for more color in the room and high shelves for precious items. 😘😘😘
I love glass and live only a 2-1/2 hours drive from Higgins Glass gallery!! Definitely going on a field trip! Glad that so many charities are benefiting from the add revenue. Thanks to all the Lalanders !
Stef i think it amazing what you do. The amount of charities have you have donated to is just awesome your truly a lady with a big heart .In a world with so much ugly things happening its a ray of hope to know there is still people like you out there....
Wonderful themes and colors for a peacock day. Can't wait for the Grand Salon to be finished and the China room to be started. You will have such a display in both rooms of beautiful things.
I think the advertisers would/should think… i am currently “watching “ a 40 minute ad! I am not even sure this chateau vid is that long! I “watch “ them all on all my channels! It is the least I could do! I love that these proceeds are donated. A clever solution to the generosity of viewers! 🦩🏳️🌈🌻🇺🇦
The porcelain pieces are lovely. The handmade studio glass a wondrous joy. I hope there will be space to display it in the Grand Salon. Seeing Nattie in the layered beads, there is a young and beautiful version of Helena Rubenstien. (who was , to be fair, not as beautiful) A ball to celebrate great women seems fitting. When is Internatiknal Womens Day?
What fabulous peacock glass! I love all things glass too. Thank you for sharing your wonderful gifts from loved others with us all! Blessings and love, from a beautiful sunny, Autumnal Devon, England. xxx
I was so excited when I saw the Peacock shawl in this vlog. I purchased one in Bruges on our 2017 trip to Europe. I love mine so much and have wonderful memories of that time. Your vlogs are a wonderful peek into your life in France and your beautiful Chateau. From a fan down under in Queensland, Australia.
Wonderful donation choices! And beautiful gifts beyond words! The Bernardaud vase (Who would have ever thought that was B?) and casserole, the Higgins bowl are all amazing!
Thank you for being so thoughtful to send a donation in memory of Ian. I'm sure that his family is most appreciative as well. ❤

I would definitely have them appraised before assuming one way or the other.
Gerry is so very very lucky to have caught his cancer at an early stage. Bon chance....Gerry.
How wonderful would it be to have a peacocktail party this Christmas season where you all could dress up with peacock coloring as your inspiration.
So very glad you enjoyed the book! Easton and Lyric were super excited to see it on the channel and hear you read their names. Philip is right, the whole idea for the book came from a doodle of the kids in a very Addam's family style.

The chateau definitely needs a beautiful display cabinet in the new salon for all the precious gifts sent to keep them safe.

I just noticed the cushions with both of you on them, i love them
Oooh Floret seeds!!! I grow cut flowers and Floret is THE go-to boutique specialty shop that is trendy here in the US. Her books, website, and educational resources are very inspirational.
Those necklaces are so great against Nati's pretty blouse.
Gloria has given the best gifts. Wow! Magnificent!
You can have a package marathon to finish opening any packages that are left before Christmas.
LaLande has become a cache of beautiful items. Love all the good you are doing, changing lives and saving history.

The blue Higgins bowl is STUNNING!
I thrifted a Higgins piece, not knowing what it was, now I do. Love it!
Stephanie & Philip, you might think of getting your beautiful gifts insured...the Higgins Glass items are worth alot of money!
I too wondered when the world got color as all the pics I saw that were old where black and white!
Stephanie you are a credit to your parents and Percey.
You are truly a beautiful soul.
The beauty was almost overwhelming, colors, colors, colors. What wonderful gifts, for a very worthy cause.

Those purple pink pearls look great on Nati

The Higgins Art Glass piece is SPECTACULAR!!!!
I always think beautiful studio glass looks best in windows (that aren't often opened) when you don't have them out on tables, as the light plays beautifully with glass and translucency and glass looks lovely with any plant of flower one may have in a window, the nature outside etc, and is complimented by soft drapes.

I love you all so very much. You are so awesome. You have been so very helpful during the pandemic. Thank you for your videos.
Thank you Philip for showing us where the steam was coming from . I'm guessing very very hot tea.
The Higgins bowl looks like it picks up the blue of the coats and dress in your father's painting behind you. It may look fantastic on that table.
I was thinking the exact same thing!
Stunning gifts once again and it was lovely to hear about the charity's too ,it's a delightful video once again Lalande x💕🌼🌼🤗
I have peacock colored pearls!! They're very pretty.

Absolutely love the peacock scarf. It actually looks great on your couch. 🦋
These peacock Pearl's are known as coindot even more special. Since they resemble small coins.

I wish you had a 1920s 1930s room with lots of your art nouveau and Morris and Co designs. Even the yellow Egyptian chairs could live there.😘😘😘

You all continue to delight all who appreciate your enthusiasm and love of beauty! Thank you for the inspiration.
