Such a brutal car. Made me fall in love with rally.
Group B is why I fell in love with Lancia its crazy to think this car brand was so brutal and now there is nothing left from Lancia.

Fun fact: Lancia took the S4 for tarmac testing at Estoril Circuit. One of the engineers compared the S4's best lap time with the Formula 1 cars racing there on the same weekend. The Lancia time would place it on 3rd place at the F1 grid.
that is a myth.... f1 cars at the time developed up to 1000hp with 500kg, and in qualifying mode with sticky tires and increased boost pressure like BMW M10 engines going over 1000hp, there is absolute no way a S4 could pull a 3d place in grid.

The BMWs produced upwards of 1450hp in qualifying trim.
The Delta S4s Abarth 233 ATR 18S engine produced around 650-700hp in late 1986 season. In testing they pushed the engine to about 1000hp.
However you are correct about the F1 vs Delta S4 story being a modified 'truth'.
The group B rally cars were all brutal. The s4 maybe the most brutal of all. Lancia did test the s4 at Estoril track as did most of the other rally teams in those days. Henri Toivonen did lap the Estoril track quick enough to put him in the top 10 compared to the f1 test that took place a couple of weeks earlier. S4 was running 2.2 bar of boost pushing out around 600 bhp. Toivonen was one hell of a driver one of only a few to get to grips with the s4 and push it to somewhere near its potential. 1m 18s. 1 was his best lap.

I'm currently in 23rd place and can fairly say I was hitting top speed on a fairly high ratio tuning setup and I was absolutely flat everywhere except where I needed to keep traction. You dude are a legend👌🏻the only way I can get quicker is by risking it all and I'm not up for that😂I can gain 8 seconds but lose it quite as easily into the gates just before the finish line😂😂😂

Is it just me or is this one of the more engaging/difficult track runs you've done so far in DR2? Or are you basically taking it easy and it just looks difficult?

There is a strange sound with the Lancia Delta S4. I can always hear what seems to be like a robot breaking down in tv shows when this car is slowing down.
You need to have two big balls to drive this car in this way!
I play Dirt Rally with a fake PS2 gamepad, and I think that you can understand me, it's a fu**ing torture to complete a race with a S4.

Because the game has so much detail that RUclips can't handle it because of the low bitrate. If he uploaded the same 1080p vid but upscaled to 4k the bitrate would be higher and you would be able to see it clearly.

I still don’t know how to handle rwd cars....
Luuk Nijsen the key to rwd cars is that you need to be really gentle with your steering (unless you want to drift them of course) so that you don't loose control... You'll find that taking it slower in the curves will actually make it easier and then you can just slam the gas on straight sections... You'll loose some time at the beginning but you'll soon find a good compromise between speed and control, you just need to get used to it

Opening the differential helps alot, in addition to the advice these folks have already mentioned.once you get the hang of them the rwd cars are a BLAST
