2:48 Reporter: how do you trap the ball on your chest? Zidane: How do you do it? Well, I'm not a specialist.. And yet he is the master of ball control.. how humble
I swear I like the way Zidane keeps humble and always list's Ronaldo (R9) as a complete player :)..well I think cause its true, only a legend recognises a legend.
Legend for putting this up. This was taken down a few years ago and every now and then I'd look to find it. Stumbled across this one. For me, R9 and Zidane are the best I've ever seen. I love how he admires Ronaldo. Il Fenomeno was very underated for his touch/control.
All the kids watching Zidane highlight videos, should forget those and watch this one if they plan on getting any better at football. This tidbit of knowledge his is spitting here is much more effective than doing a skill move or scoring goal in terms of making someone a better player.
Man I feel like Bergkamp is one of the most underated players in history; I guess its because he didnt win many international trophy but his control leaves me speechless ALL the time
Just when the Messi hype starts to get overwhelming, I see a two second clip of Zidane's control and chuckle to myself: 2:02 "Control...When it's done well, it's beautiful." - Zizou sums up his own greatness in seven words.
Good advice. Plus spending hours doing "kick-ups/keepy-uppy/ball juggling" or whatever you call it, helps you develop good ball-eye co-ordination and "soft" feet (if you get what i mean). But some people (particularly left-footers for some reason) are just born with naturally "soft feet", or "feet like hands", as they say. eg Gareth Bale has feet like hands, but that's just to help him peel his bananas. :P
i feel the exact same he should be up there with the rest of footballs legends his touch, control, footballing brain, passing all equal to that of what Zizou could do but at least the Arsenal faithful and a fair few others know of his quality
when your first touch moves the ball away from defenders, like if a defender is to your right you use your "directional control" to shift the ball (either with the inside of your right foot or the outside of your left foot) to your left with your first touch. just directing the ball with your first touch.
Ibrahim Khan yes I know and for me Zidane is also in the GOATS debate but he says it like he is miles ahead of Cristiano and Messi like there is no debate and for me this is a disrespect against Messi and Cristiano
I'm not having a go at Messi himself, I'm having a go at the Messi hype. I like Messi alot, he's a fantastic footballer- the best of his generation-but the incessant media hystrionics about him seem ridiculous to me when as soon as I watch an old clip of zidane, the REAL ronaldo or Maradona for example. The point i'm making is- if you feel as though you're being drawn in by media hype, watch a clip of an old master and it puts things back into their true perspective.
i love videos like these.. just about football not fucking transfers or club managers going where or some fucking opinions of who should be picked what week. way too much emphasis these days on everything else but the piece of leather on the grass and what lads need to do with it.
Interviewer: How do you trap the ball on your chest? Zizou: Whew... How do you do it? Well I'm not a specialist. But i think it's like kind of a header... LMAO... Classic Zizou!!! We complicate - He simplifies.
What are we talking about here? Control? Directional control? Not out of control...not out of control...CONTROL. We're talking about control...::shakes my head::...control. bwahha
By the way, do you have the full 50min version of this programme? It's on youtube, but it's in spanish. :( If not, thank you anyway for uploading this clip, i really enjoyed it! B-)
And vice versa... ronaldo thinks zidane was the best player of their generation, zidane returns the compliment & says its ronaldo. Personally I agree with ronaldo... zidane was the best of their generation ;)
I always go back and forth between the two. Ronaldo was absolutely out of this world before his multiple knee injuries. Absolutely, ridiculous with his speed and control and finishing.

Reporter: how do you trap the ball on your chest?
Zidane: How do you do it? Well, I'm not a specialist..
And yet he is the master of ball control.. how humble
If you know anything about football...when Zidane talks, you listen!
Yes
that directional control where barthez sends him the long ball was just insane!
watching this guy play football is like watching a magic show
'If u mess up the control, it's over'. What a good line of encouragement. :)
Zizou is the best :D
I swear I like the way Zidane keeps humble and always list's Ronaldo (R9) as a complete player :)..well I think cause its true, only a legend recognises a legend.
Yes, exactly. He's one of the greatest to ever play and yet points out how good someone else is and also says he's not a specialist 😄
best part 0:00 - 5:03
First touch dribbles are the most beautiful thing.
Legend for putting this up.

2:45 and what he says afterwards. "I'm not a specialist" lol how modest of Zidane. He is the best chest controller of the ball I have ever seen.
It's amazing just how intelligent he is about ball control and how he can talk in such depth. He's not just some thug with talent.
Zidane inspires me to be a better footballer, even at my low level! to me, he is football...
Zizou always talks about Ronaldo, the Brazilian Ronaldo by the way.
Zidane and Ronaldo are the best of all time!
4:00 "When you follow through and the defender's behind you it's great." Hahaha!
Glad I found this gem.
This is one of the most fascinating videos I've ever seen on RUclips. Thanks for posting.
Is there any more of these videos? This one taught me a lot of good things and I would like to hear more from the master.
All the kids watching Zidane highlight videos, should forget those and watch this one if they plan on getting any better at football. This tidbit of knowledge his is spitting here is much more effective than doing a skill move or scoring goal in terms of making someone a better player.
True @rubo111
Man I feel like Bergkamp is one of the most underated players in history; I guess its because he didnt win many international trophy but his control leaves me speechless ALL the time
Zidane ele e um gênio. Como lionel messi. Gênios
we can sum up his greatness in one word: immortal
father of control the best all time
But Messi and Zidane have the same philosophy, they both have wonderful first touch and they both look beautiful in play.
Just when the Messi hype starts to get overwhelming, I see a two second clip of Zidane's control and chuckle to myself: 2:02
"Control...When it's done well, it's beautiful." - Zizou sums up his own greatness in seven words.
Messi hype lol
10 yrs later
He will always be the best in history Z.Z10

Wait whats wrong with left footers
@@unknownid2315 Idk man, people think left footers play football better
Interviewer: "How do you trap the ball on your chest?"
Zidane: "Well, I'm no specialist"
made me lol
Zidane: "How to do it? Am not a specialist..."
GO HOME ZIDANE YOU'RE DRUNK
i feel the exact same he should be up there with the rest of footballs legends his touch, control, footballing brain, passing all equal to that of what Zizou could do but at least the Arsenal faithful and a fair few others know of his quality
i gree with u my friend, zizou was the best player and if he were playing now he would be the best player of the world!!

4:00 great definition of play then control
Zizou is one of the biggest Ronaldo fans I've seen so far...he has a lot of respect for that guy
Then he is over, he is gone. Yes all the legends are gone and todays football is diving competetion.
@Ashurst
R9 has NEVER been underrated. His career was plagued by injuries but he has NEVER been underrated.
I laughed so hard when he said I am not a specialist.
what a genius, only a genius rationalizes the bodies like that, like bruce lee did.
zinedne was a real class.

i agree...
and i am so sorry for the kids nowadys that never saw zizou and think players like c.ronaldo or messi are the greatest ever.....
I feel bad for your stupid opinion
Ibrahim Khan i am a big big Fan of zizou but how can u disrespect Messi and Cristiano like that
Ibrahim Khan yes I know and for me Zidane is also in the GOATS debate but he says it like he is miles ahead of Cristiano and Messi like there is no debate and for me this is a disrespect against Messi and Cristiano
Ibrahim Khan yea he said it. WTF?!?
Zidane’s feet were like hands.
@solid96snake Of course you can practice ball control, but what Zidane have is pure talent. He is one of a kind when it comes to controlling the ball.
A true legend
I'm not having a go at Messi himself, I'm having a go at the Messi hype. Train Effective Hi man :) do you find it yet ?
@@achrafwarrior6909 i wish I knew
there is no better than the master itself
His touch was made by him and the wall spending hours with each other
for me hes the best all time...another player who was pretty similar to him is redondo :D
magical 🪄
A battle between Zidane, Bergkamp and Xavi would be crazy
Tough battle between Xavi and Bergkamp to carry his shoes
Even if Zidane is the greatest player ever (Because I haven't seen Pelé and Maradona) he show much respect for another genius: Ronaldo Nazario!!!!
Absolutely... :)
Thanks to all for just watching this small clip.. The comments were mixed, but they signified, how much beautiful the game is..
Cheers..!!
And the original source
2:05 that touch is just amazing...
i love videos like these.. just about football not fucking transfers or club managers going where or some fucking opinions of who should be picked what week.
