- What's up AK Family! In this vlog, it's Kyra's birthday! Join us as we spend the day in Nassau, Bahamas. We start off at Junkanoo Beach and then we take a taxi to Cabbage Beach. We walk to Atlantis and do a little bit of exploring. After exploring, we relax on the beach and then we head back to the port to do a little shopping. Later onboard, enjoy a movie by the pool and go see a show in the theater and it was....interesting. LOL. Thanks for watching! We will be doing a full video on our thoughts of Nassau and the myths/stereotypes that Nassau holds. Don't forget to subscribe!!

I think not a lot of people are on the pool deck at night because there’s so much happening inside, dancing, game shows karaoke, casino etc. vs carnival sounds more just like a cruise party 😂😂

Hi. How do you decide what time of the year to go on cruises? I'm always afraid of how the weather is going to be. lol
We avoid cruising during peak hurricane season but other than that we're open to go anytime! You could always look up what the weather is like during a particular month to see if it's rainy season or not there and base your choice off of that too.

I almost drown in that beach twice on Paradise Island. It is always a hot mess.
Yikes. We didn’t go past our knees and Aaron is a very strong swimmer. You definitely have to use caution when the water is rough.
I almost drowned there too. Thank God for my cousin who pulled me in.
@@AKAdventures Issue was I could not get out of the water, undertoe kept pulling me out. The waves were crashing so hard it would knock me down and pull me back out. Happen twice..lol

Des Jor It’s a very short walk after entering on the beach. You can’t miss it. The Atlantis Resort is huge..

First off u 2 are so cute! ❤️ U guys really got into Atlantis! When my hubby & I were in Nassau, we did a short tour of the highlights & then went to Atlantis, but we couldn't get in to what some people had told us was the free area for people who weren't staying there. Though at the time I didn't know about the public beach there, so we left and went to Junkanoo Beach. It was still a nice time, but next time we'll definitely be going to the public beach at Atlantis. Thanks for all the firsthand info!

OMG! We were on the same cruise. I was there with a group of 24 (adults only) lol....we were there for my husbands 40th birthday which was.....yup...Nov 5th as well. We had an awesome time and by the looks of it so did u guys. Wish we would've ran into you guys on the ship. The guys spent most of their time in Playmakers playing Jenga for shot...smh

Just went there in October. Freeport was still damaged by the hurricane, so we stayed in Nassau for 2 days..
Sadly we can’t work around and explore now since Covid. It’s $150 per person to explore🤦🏾♀️. And the water at cabbage beach is so beautiful but strong current for the kiddos and me lol.

The beach by Atlantis! (Cabbage Beach) it’s beautiful!!! We did not pay to get into the aquarium...we just walked in!

Me and my husband went to the same beach and got free drinks. It was very nice. Unfortunately we didn't go to Atlantis. We also went to the show and ours was very good
Ok I guess we better have a plan in place for Nassau. I like exploring as well and not just sitting on the beach the entire time. You miss out on too much.....I like that aquarium and will mention it once we get closer to time.

Haha yes you can be there, we went on a land and sea tour the first time and they dropped us off at the front of Atlantis gave us like an hour to look around and came back haha

You guys are the best couple I have ever seen.
We went on our 1st Royal Caribbean cruise in April on the Mariner of the Sea. Coco Cay was amazing! The ship was good, food waspretty good, service was excellent, but the shows sucked!! We payed for The Key,which was the same price as the internet package, but we got a lot more perks. The ice skating show was okay, but compared to Carnival and Norwegian, I rate Royal Caribbeans service #1! The dining room crew was awesome and so was our room attendant. They made my birthday so special! Definitely going again! Happy Birthday Kyra!

We went last year in November, and the surf was crazy at Cabbage Beach. My grand kids almost drowned. I have been to this beach countless number of times and never experienced what we experienced in November. Other than that we had a great time. My daughter had so much sand in her bathing suit you could have made a sand castle. 😂😂
Omg that is scary. I (Kyra) have been to Cabbage Beach years ago with my family and the water was so calm. Those waves were intense but we still had a great time!
