Instant Pot works AMAZING - we also have chickens and the IP is the only way we can easily peel them. Fresh is definitely harder though no matter how you boil them.
Our chicken eggs are fresh too! I boil them and put them in cold water with ice for a few minutes but crack a hole in the shell before hand. Then I take a spoon and run it under the membrane and shell and it comes off it large pieces, sometimes i can get it off it two-three pieces. :) great video!
Put 12 room temperature eggs in your pressure cooker with 1 cup of water for 5 minutes and then quick release. Immediately put your eggs in a bowl of ice water. Let sit for at least 30 minute in the ice water and pull out of water and air dry eggs on counter. The eggs peel off with ease in big chunks. Great video!
When I put boiled eggs in cold water, I add a couple ice cubes. Make sure they're in one layer in a flat bottomed pot with a lid and shimmy them like bumper cars in the water. Side to side, front to back and couple diagonal shimmys, works your abs, lol! Some of them will lose the shell on their own. And then the rest will just slip out. I've done it with store bought and farm fresh eggs. Works for both.
If you cook your eggs in your Instant Pot, they come out perfect EVERY time. So easy to peel. Cook 5 min, normal rest 5 min, then release all pressure and do ice bath for 5min.
If you put a little vinegar in your water when you are boiling it the eggs will peel easier. And hit them gently all around the shell after you have pulled them out of the ice bath
We have fresh eggs as well a tip to get the shell off without taking the egg white with it is to allow the eggs to cool 5mins then peel under warm water while the eggs are still warm, the cold water makes the shell stick to egg white hence the peeled egg white and only the yoke looks normal. 😊
When I run cold water over my eggs, I cram the shells so the watcher gets between the shell and the think membrane. They slip right off. I’ve never had issues peeling our farm fresh eggs or store bought with this method.
Make your hard boiled eggs in the instant pot. The shells practically fall off. We get our fresh from our chickens and that method has been a game changer
Hi Laura! These meals look wonderful! For some reason, I always forget to put grapes in chicken salad, definitely going to remember that! As for the fresh eggs, we have fresh, and I can NEVER get them to peel nicely, but the ones from the store do fine, so I definitely agree it’s a ‘new (fresh) egg issue! Thanks for sharing all these yummy ideas! Hugs~~Chelle
@@theramblincrafter I believe 10 day old eggs are recommended for easy peeling, our eggs don't last as long. Do you notice a difference between the peeling of brown vs white. I feel my brown eggs are super thick.
Fool proof hard boiled egg tip I picked up from another RUclips video. Bring the water to a boil and then gently add the eggs. Boil for 15 minutes. Drain hot water; soak eggs in cold water before peeling. The shell comes off clean every time. No fuss or muss.

Add a teaspoon or so to your cold water after cooking your eggs
Place the eggs in an ice bath of water immediately after you boil and the shells will come right off. Farm Fresh eggs too!
Thank you!
Have you used the instant pot ? Use the egg setting then put in cold water to cool down. They peel off the shell very easily

Omg. How did you read that with all those typos? 🤦🏽♀️. “Crack” the shells so the “water”

You saved me some typing. Are your layers brown or white egg layers?
We have both, they do seem to be better if I use the older eggs, as compared to freshly gathered...

Our brown ones have very thick shells. Our eggs don’t last very long either, we eat several a day, it’s hard to get 10day old eggs 😂😂😂
Thank you, this is a great video.🌸
Thank you!
Do your hard boiled eggs in your instant pot. 6 minutes on high pressure, quick release and then an ice bath. They will peel so easy! 🙂
OK doing this next time!
I always roll the hard boiled eggs under my hand on mu cutting board until it starts cracking and the shell usually just peels off easily! (:
Thank you so much for the tip!

Doing this next time!
I’m watching your channel while cooking a whole chicken, so this is great timing. Thanks!

A tablespoon of vinegar in the water when cooking fresh eggs, will help the peels come off easier.
Thank you so much for the tip!
It helps to steam the eggs, instead of boil them when do you have fresh eggs.
OK good to know! Thank you!
LOL ‘They just came out the chickens butt this morning’ 😂 did I hear that correctly lol
Also, the food looks delicious as always !
GEEZ I didn't even catch that, but that sounds about right lol

Try removing the flash when doing your videos or adjust your window luminosity. something is too bright
I don't have a flash, but I am right by a window. Must have been a sunny day!
I love the brightness
I'm very interested to becoming an essential oil user, maybe u could help me get there . Thanks .

But it's not really 6 meals for your family with one chicken. It's just 6 single meals. Kind of misleading. But great recipes.
One chicken will not feed 5 people. Your first meal only feeds one person....
Jeanette Thiessen she said 5 meals for one chicken. She didn’t say it fed 5 people
It works in my house, if you eat the serving size it feeds 5.
It is 5 different meal ideas, each a single serving. The idea was for lunch prep for the week. :)
Yes exactly!
