Thanks for your videos mate. I’m from Ireland, I’ve lived in Thailand for years and just moved to Kazakhstan for work, lived in Australia, lived in NZ, traveled in around 50 countries, but nowhere took my heart like Laos. Hope to head back next year. Your channel lets me dream about being back in that wonderful country.
Fun vlog Todd Touring and getting a shower at the same time nice 😊 Good to see Mina happy Yes mate you said you loved the rainy season many times lol 😂
🤗🙏🏼! Great video, loved it. Thank you. Seeing how fast Mina learned how to ride her bike, swimming will be just another quick hurdle, not even a full one. Take care.
In a slow tidal move down the river , my girlfriend and I went where the inner tyre took ya in Vang Vieng. 1999 was the year of travel. Dug out canoes powered by an old Toyota engine through the Mekong River.. Classic times.
I have only been following your channel for about a week but I have to say that this is my favorite video so far. I like your slow easy way of showing us what Laos is all about. The black and white pho shoot near the end was spot on. Very well done. Thank you for sharing your life ,your travels and your family with us. All the best to you and yours.
You are on another level mate. Never seen before. Beautifull footage and a nice truly story about your home and family, also about the girl, verry honest reporting about daly live in Lao. You rock.
Vang Vieng has a lot to offer. The Aussie Couple, God Bless Em. 🙏 have a lot of energy. Did anyone in your party eat a bug.? haha. It looked like Mina was tired towards end of a busy day. The video was so informative and very enjoyable. As always, Todd , thank you for sharing your thoughts. Be Well ! ❤❤ Harriet and Jim
Another brilliant video, mate. Wish I were 20 years younger. The best word to describe Laos is that it’s still unspoiled. In a few number of years it will become overdeveloped and become another Thailand. Sad to see. Always take care, safe travels and stay healthy to you, NeeNee and lovely little Mina.❤
I first went to Laos in 2002. I think they’ve handled the growth in tourism better than most countries. Luang Prabang in particular has gotten even better; better range of hotels and restaurants, still peaceful and clean, etc. Vientiane has also retained its sleepy charm. The only city that is unrecognizable to me is Vang Vieng. The changes over the last 20 years are just mind boggling, but I’m told they’ve improved it since 2008 when I was last there.
How things change. I was in Vang Vieng the first time in 2002. The only taxi available in town was a tractor and there were few hotels. Came back last year and REALLY didn't like it, although the surroundings are stunningly beautiful.
G'day Todd and Neenee and Mina. I travelled to Laos back in the day n I loved the people n the country. I assume it's changed a tad. Hopefully 🤞 not too much. If it's cool with you Todd I'd like to get in touch or work out a way to catch up for a beer or 3 n a meal when I eventually get back to Laos. LoL. I'm not stalker material , just be good to initially travel with ya input of likes n dislikes of travel in Laos , these days..
great video again, have to stop saying that, Neenee is doing a great job with Mina making her looking like a wee princess, my daughter is now 25, I still call her by the nickname I gave her, she gets embarrassed , as its only me that calls her by that name , a bit Thai or Lao style where the actual "real" name is replaced by the parents to a short name of between 2-4 letters
You guys make me mad! I’m 65 and after seeing y’all with Mina it makes me want to have kids again. But then I remember it’s not all fun and games , also hard work raising good kids. But I think it’s probably worth it. Great channel and best of luck!!!!
Hey Jimmy... i'm only an 'M' also, sometimes a 'L' so yes, it can be hard sometimes, especially at the markets. Once you're here for a while you do get to know where to shop though. Shoes are even harder to find if you're over a size 9 (10 in US)
It won't be long Mina will be swimming like a fish. You're right Todd terrible things are happening in the world today. In my country America in Ukraine and now in Israel.
It's a pity to hear of the death in Israel but that war has been going on for decades and no matter what is done for a peaceful resolution it only lasts for awhile then it starts all over again this time Hamas bombed the area with rockets and now Israel will retaliate stronger. It's a war that will never end and to travel there it's like putting your own life on the line.

Vang Vieng is amazing huh!
Be careful out there!
Hey Todd, who sings that song at the end of this video, if you can tell me . Thanks mate. Nev

No, they ruined it with unplanned overdevelopment and that road running along the western side of the river. Progress ay!
You're a good man
I went there 8 times 😁
Pity things change, was there 20 years ago was like the Wild West 😁

Nah all good mate.. I don't mind you saying it 😉
Cheers mate
How many Chinese built dams are there upstream of where you were?
The limestone mountains look like the democratic republic of congo together with vegetation rivers.

What's happening in the mid-east is not just about religion. Its also about territory and resources. Make sense?
❤️😇🙏
chockers
Bloody chockers mate! 👍
Hi Todd... Is it hard for you buying clothes to fit you..?
Last time I was there XXL was still too small for me and here in Australia im only a M
