Dont ever underestimate the importance of your trade. Joiners would be unable to start without brickies, and brick laying would be a waste of time without ground workers, and so on. Its a team effort to achieve a common goal. Banter aside, you all do a good job if allowed by the constraints of money and time. Aspire to inspire.
I’ve been carpenter & joiner for 40 years, watching your timber frame videos certainly puts bricklayers on a par, with all the technical stuff & setting out. Well done 👍
I was using the furfix profile in that fashion when they first came out, I believe 30 or so years ago,it seemed the obvious way to go, you have mentioned Cyprus a couple of times, I was there for 3 months building with the local stone, free material from the local tip aka mountain side, it's a marvellous country.
Did you get 10kg black pepper for your thirtieth? 😉 You still work as a 19 with the experience of a 60year old The beauty of good craftmanship cannot be appreciated enough and you guys excel
Always put your cavity tray on a bed or use a packer about 5mm along the legth of it so the lead sits under it , ive puts loads of trays right where the lead has been put in on top of the tray or mr roofer just grinds it out and damages it and the water bypasses it mackes it worse when they lead mate and seals it all in
Genuine question with the likes of yourself making content, if you have a good month/year.etc do you get the likes of Jake or the company anything for featuring I know all the effort on the video side is from you just genuinely interested!! Love the videos mate🤟🏻
Another cracking video Izzy. Lovely brickwork from you and the lads. You are looking a bit less stressed on those types of jobs and thank you for looking after your health. Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve. Thanks
Yeah I disagree we don't just play with bricks that's the problem everyone thinks it's just putting a brick down what about setting squints out arches radius bullseyes
Honestly there is more to our job than meets the eye, I know jokingly we say “one ont top o tuther” but f me there’s some thinking about job, stepped trays in right spot tanking step linked and sealed with dpc etc
The ego on this boy is ridicules, any body with half a brain can erect a kit try getting same people to build the brickwork and see how they go. Never judge other people with your own limitations.
this is not an NHBC job requiring self supporting trays, 450 dpc has been used for years without issue but some money making ejit decided they could make more money using plastic.
Great stuff mate , been a self employed Decorator all my life , very different trade I know but I appreciate great tradesmen , lovely work 👍
Glad you are having Drew back even if it is a few day he is a good worker hope he is doing well.

Can you explain something 🤷🏻♂️you always refer to the mortar as ‘compo’ but I always thought it was sand and cement ?

A par,😂. Never known a chippy or sparky to clean up after them selves on site.. usually leave it to plasterers to do it 😅 not all but most

He should know this as he has done so in much earlier videos, guess he's getting lazy lol. Also weep vents dry on brick where lead is going???
Must have forgotten Scott!😂 Hope your doing really well mate
Do you change your mix depending on weather?
Carpenter is the king 👑 on site. We have to get over everyone else problems.
Modest fella. So all other trades have a easy life lol
……stonemason bricklayer has entered the chat
And then I the poor gardener has dig up all the shit you people bury
😂😂 That’s the funniest thing I’ve ever read carpenter and king. Do you mean site joiner at best!!

You are full of it making a statement like that about joiners ,bricklayers of yesteryear would be turning in there graves silly boy
I’m sure you know that the 18” damp is damp course is only to be used as a damp course,, and not as a tray
Pretty sure it’s same material as 24inch damp and 900 damp🤔 or do you mean because the 450 dpc isn’t long enough for cavity?
