    Dont ever underestimate the importance of your trade. Joiners would be unable to start without brickies, and brick laying would be a waste of time without ground workers, and so on. Its a team effort to achieve a common goal. Banter aside, you all do a good job if allowed by the constraints of money and time. Aspire to inspire.

    Can you explain something 🤷🏻‍♂️you always refer to the mortar as ‘compo’ but I always thought it was sand and cement ?

    I’ve been carpenter & joiner for 40 years, watching your timber frame videos certainly puts bricklayers on a par, with all the technical stuff & setting out. Well done 👍

      A par,😂. Never known a chippy or sparky to clean up after them selves on site.. usually leave it to plasterers to do it 😅 not all but most

    I was using the furfix profile in that fashion when they first came out, I believe 30 or so years ago,it seemed the obvious way to go, you have mentioned Cyprus a couple of times, I was there for 3 months building with the local stone, free material from the local tip aka mountain side, it's a marvellous country.

    Always put your cavity tray on a bed or use a packer about 5mm along the legth of it so the lead sits under it , ive puts loads of trays right where the lead has been put in on top of the tray or mr roofer just grinds it out and damages it and the water bypasses it mackes it worse when they lead mate and seals it all in

      Honestly there is more to our job than meets the eye, I know jokingly we say “one ont top o tuther” but f me there’s some thinking about job, stepped trays in right spot tanking step linked and sealed with dpc etc

    The ego on this boy is ridicules, any body with half a brain can erect a kit try getting same people to build the brickwork and see how they go. Never judge other people with your own limitations.

    I’m sure you know that the 18” damp is damp course is only to be used as a damp course,, and not as a tray

    • @kingofthetrowel1725
      @kingofthetrowel1725 2 дня назад +2

      Pretty sure it’s same material as 24inch damp and 900 damp🤔 or do you mean because the 450 dpc isn’t long enough for cavity?

    • @scottnever8732
      @scottnever8732 День назад +1

      this is not an NHBC job requiring self supporting trays, 450 dpc has been used for years without issue but some money making ejit decided they could make more money using plastic.
