I wish when the caution came out it made you drive for a bit longer so the wreck could fully pan out and you had to actually dodge wrecks instead of just being teleported.
I really hope they update the whole caution sequence, I really don't like how it just stops the race and doesn't let the wreck play out. When a caution comes out, you should still have control for ~20 seconds and then a replay should follow. After the replay, you should be able to make pit adjustments while pacing under caution and see the cars come onto pit road
Yep either that or go full sim and have control of the car the whole race including pacing and leaving the garage

NASCAR Thunder 2003 & 2004 and NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup had a Talladega infield road course track run at night that could be unlocked by unlocking Thunder Plates in the first two games and through completing the NASCAR Modified Series in Career Mode for NASCAR 2005.

I’m pretty sure that was the plan from the beginning but then once they realized the game was gonna drive like shit if they didn’t put all their focus to it,they cancelled it,but the game still drives like shit😂 so I kinda wish they would have put in the game as well just for the hell of it
They really need to add a track map, especially for the road courses.

@@TheRedStang227 iRacing doesn't have track maps, and for good reason. You don't learn that way. Some thing with having a driving/braking line On. If you're a new driver, sure, for awhile. Aside from that you should be learning the layout of the tracks so you don't nedd a track map. It's not like there's hundreds of tracks lol, it's literally a handful of road courses

I've said this before, but I feel it needs to be emphasized again. Heat 4/5 set the bar high for plate racing. With awesome pack racing, the AI pushing you, and the AI being pretty aggressive and taking pushes, it's the best I've seen on a console game by far. For the most part, this doesn't compare yet at all.
I picked up heat 4 for $5 a few months ago and did split screen with my brother at Talledega last week, best time I've had since playing thunder 2003.

I think the problem with the shaky cam is that the game doesn't know how to differentiate between bump draft and running into someone. I assume the shaky cam is for the wrecks to give a sense of jarring. I do think the quick fix is to remove the shaky cam and fix the problem behind the scenes.
They need to fix the caution sequence lol. Can't just cut it off in the middle of still spinning out lmao

Talladega recently underwent a new Garage Experience. They have a huge pavilion that you can worded drinks/food and the garages are literally built into the pavilion. Do you can literally be 3 feet away from the drivers/cars. Extremely awesome experience if you ever come to Talladega.
I'm not a fan of the number indicators on the bottom of the screen for nearby cars. I feel like it doesn't help much and they should use what they did in previous games.
That final crash, I am ok with it. Might actually be the first console nascar game I purchase since inside line. I'm still with NR2003 for PC. That is the superior nascar game to date. But I think this will be fun

Listen, take this with a grain of salt because it has been quite a while since I have played a NASCAR video game, but this game does not look close to ready! I know delays suck, but with ANY video game, I really wish they would just take the time and get it right upfront. This feels rushed because it was supposed to drastically improve NASCAR racing games, but at this point it doesn't look like much of an improvement to me...

I hope they give us full control of the car. I want to be able to drive in and out of garage during practice. And manually drive down pit road. Pacing and cautions need full control too. I dont want the wrecks to just cut to that stupid "do you want yo pit" screen. Yoill know if i want to pit when i drive down pit road damnit!
I am blown away at how simple and unrealistic the vehicle damage is.... not that crashing is the goal but it's nice for the car to have a few different ways the body can look.. every car looks exactly the same..

No caution replays, no stages in a nascar simulation game, pit road glitches, black flag glitches, car model glitches, no private multiplayer lobbies, ya this game has some real potential. The only thing it has is graphics, haven’t we seen this before?

Honestly the fact you can properly DNF in this game might be the saving grace. It’s been since NASCAR 15 that you could dnf but in those games it took so much to dnf that it was almost impossible.
You could dnf in Heat 5. Although it was bugged as all hell. You could destroy the car and be fine but dnf after brushing the wall lol

If you think this game is an improvement OVERALL, you’re just blinded by that fact that it’s a new game. Beside graphics, different crash model, and “improved” physics, this is such a downgrade.
The problem with comments like these is you forget that this is a fresh company doing their own take on nascar for gaming. Any other community in gaming knows this is the process on which most games go through. For some reason the nascar community cannot accept that a new game by a new company will likely be glitchy.

The career details outside of the race is an upgrade though. So it's basically so 50/50. You see one thing you like but then see something that's disappointing.

That’s a very accurate garage area with the fan zone too, it’s accurate to a tee.
Hopefully for the next game they make the garage area an actual part of the game as well as being able to control your car while on pit road and during pit stops rather than the ai taking over and or the screen cutting and your in the garage

As a Nascar fan, I have played all the Nascar Heat games and this game has been on my radar for awhile and I'll most likely buy it just to continue to build up my Nascar game collection. I would love to see a Nascar Thunder reboot in the near future. Fingers crossed they add the 2022 Gen 7 cars as a future update for this game.
I think it would be nice if the game let you play through the caution a little bit so you actually have to avoid wrecks or if you are spinning and trying to keep from hitting the wall.
This is what I’ve wanted from a NASCAR game for awhile is the AI wrecking on their own

Damage model is great compared to previous games but I wish the roof had a damage model and the sides need more deformation with harder hits because it feels off
Not allowed by manufacturers, damage to their cars seen as bad for the brand
More the sponsors, but parts don’t nessasaraly come off from the roof removing sponsors, but at least some scratches and deformation to the roof if there is a hard flip because it feels like it needs it
I always thought the damage has been lacking in this area, at least give us donuts or scrapes on the sides when we trade paint and some deformation. I really don't think it's a matter of manufacturers or sponsors not allowing this, more like it's hard to have a complex damage model without sacrificing game performance.
I really do hope they can manage to update the damage and make it a little more complex, like the old Thunder games. I'd like to see parts fly off from time to time and I'd also like to see realistic damage repairs as well

I'm so glad I got my money back from the pre-order. You can't even do a race without the game crashing. It's not realistic anyway. Sad, because the game has some great qualities
Right now, it looks like the best and most realistic racing with this game will be online. As for single player and multi player.., you have to just put up with constant checking up by the AI cars UNLESS Motorsport games get that and every other bug squashed be release date. Let’s keep our fingers, legs, arms and eyes crossed for that.
Keep the delayed caution. Makes you have to navigate the wreck in front of you and you also get to see some cool shit happen 💯💯
