Perfectly worked for my 2016 Focus. Thanks!
@@davidjuric4059 glad it was helpful
Gracias! Me estaba volviendo loco buscando el otro tornillo!
Very useful video. On the other side is easier since there is no fuse box. I managed to change the bulb without tools and without removing the plastic cover. You just need to open the storage container on the side and access both nuts with the hand
Próbáltam ki szerelni a lámpát mielőtt megnéztem a videót, azt hittem tartja meg egy csavar. De csak jó erősen meg kellett húzni, féltem, hogy eltörik nehezen jött ki. Thank you for video!
great tips, thanks! I was also able to get my rather large hand up inside without taking off the side panel, which made the job even easier. Thanks for pointing out the where the clips are!
I am glad I was able to help!
Well that showed me "hot" to do it. Seriously though, if not for this video I would have had to resign myself to dropping the car off at my local garage - to change a light bulb. smh. So thanks very much. As others have said on here, you don't have to remove the side panel to get at both wingnuts, you can just about get your fingers up there (oo-er missus). But I found the top one particularly tight on the fusebox side so I removed it anyway for future time saving and loosened the top wingnut. I then struggled to get the panel back on. Hehe. All done though, it took me 35 minutes including removing panels on both sides, but now that both the top wingnuts are looser I shouldn't have to do that again. Thanks again.
not a problem. glad that was helpful
I wish I'd got Halfords to do it.
Nice one man, sorted me right out this video!
Excellent, mate!
Very useful video, thanks a lot. My 2015 estate has 2 unthreaded metal locator pins in addition to the 2 threaded ones. I did take off the plastic side panel and had no trouble clipping it back in afterwards. The 2 plastic nuts were super tight initially so you really do need pliers to loosen them. I did it on the RHS where I had to disconnect the 12V aux plug as well. Otherwise it just went as shown in the video.
glad it helped 😀
Thanks this was very useful, I managed to change my light no problem at all. There was an extra clip towards the boot door on my model that I seemed to need to push down with a screwdriver. Then it was a case of popping out the plastic sides, a bit more force required than i thought but you can ease it out in the end. Putting plastic back is a little more fiddly, there's a clip near the window that I missed first time and I found it easier to get this clip aligned first then worry about the rest. I'm not particularly mechanically competent but with this video I changed the bulb in less than 20 mins! Many thanks!
glad that it was helpful man! 😊
Many thanks. This helped massively, where the manual didn't.
glad that this helped 😊
Danke,super erklärt
Excellent... 👍
Thanks, really helpful! The car manual is useless. Just to be clear, there are two wingnuts that need to be removed. The third "point" (towards the front of the car) that holds the assembly in place is just pushed into/out of place. Also, agree with @gris186, getting the plastic cover back in place inside the car was quite a struggle.
glad was able to help
What bulb does he unplug first when taking the trim off Is it a 501?
You don't have to take down that plastic cover, your hand can reach the screw through the fuse door.
Just done the job but from within the plastic that you bend to gain access to the finger buts out fell a small piece of plastic with PA6 GF15 on it. Only about 2" long and has an internal spring mechanism. Bulb changed, I'm legal and everything back in place but gawd knows where this piece goes!!
Nice I have done my Ford Focus
glad I was able to help
thank you
no problem 😊
At least the plugs are metal . On my previos car , a Ford Fusion, the upper one was a part of the plastic an, as you probably know, (i do !! ) those things are very expansive whenever you have to replace them.
you don't have to take it apart, good hands and a little idea are enough, access to the second nut is sufficient
Not sure if the two sides are different but I accessed both "finger nuts" without removing the side panel or boot screen.
when panel is off it is just so much easier.
@@edmunek That makes sense, and thanks for posting this; I could have easily broken the fitting if I'd carried on the way I was trying.
@@edmunek disassembling it is not easier, the whole operation took me 5 minutes. I only used a screwdriver to push the second nut.
Getting the plastic back on inside the car was really a struggle for me
Nice led lights. What model is this? Mine is a 2015 estate 1.5 diesel business and they are different.
These are Ford rear LED lights.
Ford Focus MK3 (2011-2014) and MK3FL (2014-2018) was equipped (based on what was ordered at the time of purchase) with normal bulb lights or LED lights.
@@edmunek thank you
Thank you really helpful 👍🏻
Lol that music
I know. I was speaking to Mariah Carey beforehand but sadly she was too busy to write a nice song to this video. Maybe next time
Is your car a titanium or titanium x
Titanium X
@@edmunek nice dude they are a rare beast i have a 13 plate in colorado red mine is the 2.0 tdci 163 as yours got the auto park
@@austinmatthews347 yeah. auto park is not that bad. I have upgraded mine with a front Zetec spoiler, honeycomb and added adaptive cruise control. working on adding Blis but hate the price of the radar bumper brackets 😊
@@edmunekhow did you added adaptive cruise mine hasnt got itbwhat engine is yours my last focus estate was the 1.6 tdci basically dv6 pug engine. The 2.0 is way quicker but uses more fuel
@@austinmatthews347 Ive got the 1.6EB 182KM. adaptive cruise control. you need the radar, mount (frame), module, steering wheel buttons and cable/software to inform the car that it has the new functions. works like a charm :-) you can actually find 2 short clips on my channel when I am testing it for the first time
Forgets to show how to deal with the third pin,the one that hasn't got a black lug thing to unscrew!...now,having broken the end of the lens as it fits into the bodywork,I gotta get me a new lens..£305...Grrrr
sorry to hear that.
So how exactly do you get the third one off?
@garethtovey5845 two are screwed as per vid...there are two more that are just pins...they'll "pop" out with the help of a credit card piece of plastic to protect the bodywork/paintwork and a decent flat screwdriver 🪛 👍
wtf mk3 sucks. so much work for simple real side light :D
still easier compared to front bulbs in Peugeot :D
What about the ones in the rear door? You know the ones that are different to every other focus rear light video.. fail. At least you tried.
Who the hell is responsible for this bullshit. I don't understand why Ford is not able to build a car which is maintenance-friendly..... damned
Seriously? This is probably my 5th car in my life which I personally own and so far once you will "catch" the engineers thinking it is very, very easy to maintain and service this car. I think Vauxhall/Opel and Peugeot are much worse then Ford 😂
my first car was a "Trabant".... this was easy to handle ;-)
