Just purchased one 2 days ago lol. 1800 with 181k miles. Thing is immaculate other than paint. Leather seats and everything. I’m loving it!

Got a 03 Explorer for $800 from a buddy and it is a sweet sweet little ride. I mean, the paint is a little faded on the roof but, no dents or dings, and engine runs strong, cold AC… my lease was up on my 2018 Camry so I’m car payment free. Also, I bought it, and it’s parked in my garage for 6 months, work trip to China, but it will be waiting for me when I get home. 207K miles

Nice set man - I did almost the same with my 03 -I installed 2013 ford edge sport 22 wheels - with spacers ! Sits very nice but will have to upgrade brakes and suspension components - bushings and shocks/ struts

I added the Mountaineer silver gauges on the dash. And got the 18" 2014 explorer rims on it.
Do you need spacers?
Are they just bolt on?
@@NicholasZED they will bolt on as they have the same lug pattern but you will need spacers because the center hub Diameter is smaller on the rims. You can either have a machine shop bore your rims hub center out to 70.5 or just buy spacers off ebay. I recomend serching for sapcers that are hubcentric. The hub size is 70.5 and the tickness of minimum 8mm and lug patter. Is 5x114

What interceptor wheels are you talking about? The wheels on my Explorer are off the 2007 Adrenaline model. You will have to verify the bolt pattern of those wheels and see if it matches your Explorer.

FYI the 3 valve V8 gets a bit better gasmilage.
If they do, I've never seen one with a manual.
I got a 2004 Ford Explorer with a 4.0 V6 in April for a hundred and fifty bucks. They thought the transmission was locked up there was just a wheel bearing

If its a 4x4 it should have buttons on the left or right side of the head unit depending if you have the information center
It's a full-time system. There's no way to disable it unlike some other systems out there, so no buttons anywhere.

I just bought an black 03 explorer about an week ago but want to modify it to look newer
They are good vehicles. I just drove mine for a work trip from NC to VA and averaged 17.5mpg. With my radio upgrades, it was like a new car with calls made thru my radio and my navigation working at the same time. Plus the remote starter I installed helps when the morning temps were in the 30's!
I need to take mine and get in put on the machine and make sure nothing is wrong with it before I add upgrades. I just got the belt changed and power windows fixed
you have the wire coming out of the pioneer sound system like that does it have Bluetooth?
Yes the wire is for Apple carplay. But it also has the Bluetooth feature/option.

The shop that installed my backup camera installed the radio. It was part of the package. They are called Tint World in Cary, NC.
What brand and type of backup camera did you install it with?....did you do it yourself?

What kind of rims are those?
Specs - 20" x 8" wide. Same lug pattern as mustang 5 x 114.3mm. You can usually find them on Ebay or Facebook marketplace. Look up Adrenaline wheels.

@@98saleen I can not find a set :( Tire rack does not have a listing for my Eddie Bauer 17 inch Strange? I have newer tires I dont want to give up just yet.BUT if I look up for 2008 sport trac they have some choices. That should be a direct bolt on? No ? Yes ?
@@NicholasZED You will not find them on any new wheel/tire site. They were only limited produced by Ford. You will have to search Ebay, Facebook and Craigslist. Possibly a junkyard.

I had a radio shop install it where I purchased the remote starter kit from.
