the encouraging is there alive and well all right, I just did a 15 miles canoeing trip from Glen Dam to Lees Ferry in Glen Dam Canyon, Arizona, I had some hiccups but in general it was incredible, let me longing for more..nothing like the outdoors.

It's amazing to hear your journey on the PCT. Hiking is such an amazing experience to have. It's nice to know that I'm not the only vegan hiker out there lol! I am hoping to backpack the PNT after college as I have never gone backpacking before.

Have just found your channel. Good video work. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure! Yep, I hope to hike as much of the Colorado trail as I can this summer. Several of these RUclips videos have really inspired me, so thank you for adding to that inspiration. :-). I also am planning to do some trail magic for folks hiking the CDT this year, as I am only a few hours away from a part of that trail. It will be a way of saying 'thank you' for all the entertainment and inspiration some of the folks there have provided via their videos. Can't wait to hear which adventure you choose to do with in 2018. Happy New Year!

Yep, I've heard the same thing about hiking the CT SOBO. Will go that route. I live in a very small town west of Colorado Springs. It is just a two hour drive to the CT trailhead south west of Denver. I would love to do a thru hike, but my kitty would not be happy. ;-) I am really looking forward to setting up a Trail Angel spot on Monarch Pass for the CDT folks. You have inspired me to set up my iPad to record some videos of the hikers. Might be fun to share the experience here. :-)

Cool! I'll let you know when I am planning on being there, and you can spread the word. I've got a list of food to bring a mile long. And I'm setting up a stove system where I can fry up some burgers, veggies or whatever people like to eat. This is going to be so much fun for ME!, lol. Hope the hikers enjoy it, too. ;-)

Ever since I found out about the PCT I’ve been dreaming of it. I just feel it’s calling me. I’ll likely have to start out alone but I’m so so so nervous about meeting new people. I’m introverted, but still terrified of starting out alone. I’d love to be able to share the burden of the stress of the trail with others, and make new connections - but I’m not sure how to go about making friends on the trail. I’m also overly concerned about the etiquette - how do you find and ask peeps if they want company on the trail?
Arrgggghhh all these stupid minor details and none of them matter. I just need to get over it!

Hey there. I too have been dreaming about hiking the PCT. I will have to wait 3 years until I retire from work to do it though. Till then, I’m gonna do short hikes and deliver trail magic for PCT hikers passing thru Tehachapi. I’m sure I’ll meet people between now and then. I’m sure I’ll meet some amazing people when I’m finally on trail.

Thanks for the sincere video. Typical of you. My adventure starts on the AT with Disney Trio (51,62 and 21). My friends has started to name us. He calling me Doopey, himself Thumper while our poor youngster is just shaking her head at these silly Canucks. We might even have a fifth and his trail name is already Grouchiest so he will take the name of grumpy lol. Gonna be fun and the video wild. After triple crown is done, I will cap them with the TC. 2 girls just started their Trans Cont journey and completed their first 100 miles. That hike will be exciting.
Nice job on this video and all your others too. I think you should hike another trail in 2019 and let all your subs and followers help fund you on it.

Such a good video! Thank you for sharing. Really been thinking of the PCT as my first thru hike and now I’m even more inspired for it. Te Araroa is a goal hike as well but maybe pct would be a good first thru hike since I live in Denver which is a bit closer. I was curious how long before you went did you decide you were def going and how long did it take for you to plan the details like where to send your boxes etc? Thanks for sharing your journey can’t wait to see more videos
I decided I was def going the first week of January and then applied for the permit in feb. Hiked out May 2. I guess the planning began ever since I decided for sure I was going in Jan. But actively planning boxes and all probably did that a couple of weeks before my flight to San Diego lol. Last minute, I’m the worst!
Awesome, thank you. That gives me hope, I'm a last minute planner as well. Under pressure seems to be the only way I get things done lol. I honestly wasn't set on going until watching this video, can really tell how much of a meaningful experience it was and it just "clicked" what was I waiting for. I'll already be traveling to San Diego to work and visit friends the first week of May and my apartment lease is up in June so i was looking at leaving for the PCT around then and just leaving my stuff in storage Til I get back. So many things I'm hoping fall in line and it all works out! Anyway thank you again for taking the time to make your videos.
I got off the pct this year. feeling like I'm finally coming out of a shitty depression Ive been in since. your videos are dope as fuck and bring me back to the trail in a wonderful way. also, you're beautiful. just sayin

This video is up to one level with Mr Jawnzee & Mr Neemor. If you want to make it even better you need a lot of $$$ for crews, equipment and so on. Extremely well mounted, composed, there is a story, there are nice captures - you even have someone with more followers on YT in this but she would personally agree that her videos don't come even close to this. I have just one question: Does your Carhartt cape really glow like this in reality or are the colors optimized?
Thanks for your feedback! I think having a good eye and just overall vision is more important than fancy equipment, etc. Mr. Jawnzee and Neemor def inspire me to share my story on here with the world, so I have much respect and love for them, and that I'll take that as a sweet compliment :)

The Sierras look terrifying. Snow crossing after snow crossing, with no trail and huge consequences.

Alexander Saint-Amand thank you! I used iPhone 6s, Sony rx100m3, and iMovie. That’s pretty much it for technical. I used a tripod to film the narration part.

Did you ever have to sleep on snow anywhere along the PCT And if so, could you share locations and experience.
Heli scene was my fave too!!! It went perfect with the setting at that moment in time!! I slept on snow the last couple days in WA but it was just 1 inch or so. It dumped sleet/snow on us over night tho on those couple nights. NOT FUN cuz WA is very moist/the sun barely comes out so all our stuff just never dried! Other than that, in the sierra there was always spots in the woods or on rock islands where one could set up camp w/o being on top of snow. Thank you for watching

Were you a total rookie when starting PCT, or did you prepared for it?
I hiked the JMT the year before the PCT and that was a good glimpse to what the PCT would be but still not quite the same. I wasn't a complete noob the moment I got on the trail but there definitely was A LOT to learn hiking-wise/camping-wise and just about myself in general.
