It’s really clever that they didn’t make Mario slower but instead showed him like how he is in odyssey to really make Luigi seem more timid.
I love how Mario, upon being rescued, takes flight and does all the wallkicks n stuff. Fair to say this is definitely Odyssey's Mario lmao

Mario's hotel room was a disaster when Luigi went in. Obviously catching Mario wasn't easy for the ghosts, he must have jumped around and made a mess lol

I have this game but I haven't got to this part yet so it's a spoiler for me
I adore this whole part, as it shows the stark contrast between the Bros, similar to how it goes in the Mario & Luigi games. Both of them are on a mission, but the emotional vibes that they give off are vastly different from each other. Even right after being released from a terrifying (and probably claustrophobic) painting, Mario still jumps into the action (both figuratively and literally) without hesitation, regardless of how dangerous it is. He’s brave, passionate, and loves to challenge himself and take risks (as suggested from his speed runs). Meanwhile, Luigi is a scaredy-cat who is usually forced into these dangerous situations, likely by E. Gadd or his fearless big Bro. Despite the fear, however, he always perseveres until the end, especially since his greatest dream (according to games like Paper Mario and Super Mario RPG) is to be brave just like Mario.
Also, who else got teary eyed when Mario ran to give Luigi a big hug? That is what I call brotherly love!

I played this with my little sister and it's a funny story after we rescue Mario I thought he was king boom in disguise and my little sister see him as the real Mario and I felt awkward and ashamed and it's hilarious when Mario lead us to the tower
