Ray "may" have meant that this brilliant tune was intended for "Face to Face"…"Something Else" was, in my humble opinion, The Kinks greatest album-there isn't a weak song on the entire LP and "Two Sisters" is a top 5 Kinks track. Sheer Brillance!
Two Sisters moved the Kinks up another level imo, if that was possible. It's one of my favourite 'vignettes' of life in modern popular music, cramming so much into those two minutes.
A version of this intro & performance seen at Birchmere, Alexandria, VA, 2010. My sons loved it. So did I. Ray & Dave mirror me & my brother I believe. (sequence matters here) I also project they mirror my sons. (sequence matters by age here) So it goes.
though not famous, this is one of the best Kinks songs - especially the original studio version with that beautiful harpsichord ...
Top 5 greatest songwriters of all time
Something Else, killer album.
Just beautiful!

Cool....I was at this show! Ray did a great show....didn't like the audience though...
Wonder what Rasa thought at the time of Ray’s description of the “drudgery of being wed”.
