Dang, thanks youtube. This is some esoteric knowledge right here. I don't have a video game store but if I ever happen to own one, I now possess the strength of this knowledge.
@@AirValYT appreciate it thank you. Also what do you think about selling locally? You get a bit less but then don’t have to pay tax, eBay fees, and deal with scammers ?
This is how I like to do it too, mostly. Another thing I do is pay high on high quality lots. Up to 65% if the heavies can recoup a good chunk of my investment.
thanks for your videos men, i just have one question do you have a certain percentage for your profit for each system or do you have a certain price youre willing to pay for each system
I have set prices if I am only buying consoles but if there are games included with the consoles then I go off a profit margin that makes sense. Hope that helps and thanks for watching 👍🏻
Personally i think its based off Location, here in california “lots” are kind of pointless since they want to charge above price chart and dont budge on anything so theres no money to be made
Location definitely matters but I also see a ton of overpriced stuff out here and it can be tough to make deals with those sellers. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Im always picking up smaller console lots that I can flip super quick but there is more money in the bigger pickups so I recommend saving up and looking out for those! Thanks for watching 👍🏻
I live in the middle of Nebraska. The facebook marketplace here is a joke. Good lots, big or small, are few and far between. Then they try to sell them at prices that convince me they don't actually want to sell.
I recommend trying to see if people can ship items or lining up a bunch of pickups for 1 day in a big town or city and making the drive if possible. Thats been my strategy ever since I moved to a small town in the middle of Ontario. Hope that helps and thanks for watching 👍🏻
eBay fees kick your ass you gotta have pretty big margins to make money honestly that being said I did pick up 2 ps4 a 360 two psps and I ps4 controller and 7 Xbox 360 controllers for 250 bucks dude said he didn’t know if they worked but both the ps4s work one has jet engine fan noise which I should be able to fix easy, I had to get replacement battery’s for the psps to test them and the Xbox 360 was missing the cord that goes from the power brick to the outlet so waiting on one of those to come in to test.. all in all I think I’m gonna do well on this lot
Having a store subscription helps keep the store fees down a bit but I always factor fees into my profit margin when Im picking up inventory. That lot sounds like a solid pickup! Thanks for watching 👍🏻
@@AirValYT I don't understand why people don't factor fees into their cost before they buy... When I was selling, I always factored fees in before I purchased something. I used to bundle the cheap games from lots that I could not sell at a profit individually, and sell them locally, and other resellers would buy them from me for 10% under ebay price. I watched one of the guy's eBay stores, and he listed the 200 games he bought from me for $1750 for a total of $1830... Shipping alone at the time was around $3.50 per game.

Happy to help and thanks for watching 👍🏻
Can you make a video on how you actually source on Facebook? Ex. Search settings, what you search, radius, how you talk, etc ! Would help alot
One tip that I use it to sort new to old listings, catch the good deals quick before anyone else
Yup, I can definitely do that! Thanks for watching 👍🏻

I don’t have enough money to do those bigger/medium sized lots, so I have to stick with smaller console lots

How much do you pay to ship? Also does it make a difference for viewers if it’s free shipping? I’m worried my games won’t sell if I add shipping
Problem is, there’s nothing being posted on marketplace and Kijiji in my area or it’s way overpriced lol
