    Jesus, correct me if I'm wrong but I would think working this in 16 bit would be optimum. That fact that you are pulling on those curves makes me feel like 16 bit will give you the smoothest transition in the gradients of the car. As always, great job. Your videos are always so practical.

    In this video you are matching single color. Can you match multiple colors with two different colors in a single photo ?Like you can change tshirt color as well as the color of print/logo on it.

    Great tutorial, thanks. Anyway, I have a question. When I working on LAB mode from the beggining and in the end I want to change it to RGB, window shows up: "Changing modes will discard an adjustment layer change mode anyway?". And if I click OK, adjustment layer with curves dissapears and car is red again, or I can click merge, it's green then, but I loose all layers. What should I do?

      Try converting it to a Smart Object and see if it looks the same after you change the Color Profile.

    Will this work with a black car? I have tried other methods but they have not worked on black cars. Thanks.

    • @maalvesnh
      @maalvesnh 9 лет назад

      MrZephyr97 Black isn't a color, it's luminosity, so any method for color changing won't work.

    Can we change any color into white

  • @NuraliKushkov

    I have a rather unusual case where client asked me to match digital files they have to printed samples of same designs.
    Samples printed on a special paper (its a wallpaper) and they have absolutely no color codes or any other references beside the printed samples.. :)
    What would be best workflow here?
    I imagine best way is ti find a way to measure the reference color on printed sample and get either LAB, RGB or CMYK values and then match the digital files. End result is gonna be printed with PSO uncoated profile and closes paper i got is GMG matte paper 140gr,
    Any ideas on how to approach this are appreciated :)
    thanks!

      @PhotoshopTrainingChannel  8 лет назад +1

      +Nurali Kushkov Interesting problem indeed. If I understood the problem correctly, you only have the printed examples, and you need to match the color. If that is the case, I would take a photo of the printed design, with a "gray card" or color balance cards, then in photoshop color correct the image based on the gray card, or color card, to get a good idea of what the color is.

      Nurali Kushkov get a spectrometer..
      get the lab values...use photoshop to match the values and charge your client an arm and a leg for what its worth

    Mhh doesnt you lose some precision on the colors though? RGB has 255^3 colors while Photoshop’s LAB has 100*255*255 colors, some are getting lost no?
