German cars of the 80s and 90s will work hundreds of years later (unless fossil fuels are depleted!) The engine started with just a few simple tools and a few liters of oil. If the current automobile covered with electronic devices is left unattended for 17 years, it will cost expensive repairs. Parts needed for repair would also have been discontinued. This is why cars like this are still so popular in many countries :) The 2020 Tesla will probably be in the junkyard around 2035! Hahaha

I generally really enjoy the Passat design up to the 3BG, from there on, the Passat looked more generic and less "streamlined". Though the newest model looks pretty nice, though very different than the B3.
@@Marc_Fuchs_1985 I live in a big city where I use public transport and sporadically the car. Twice or thrice a year I make long trips with the Passat B3, 900km each trip on motorway. This sumner I did one in the middle of a heatwave (38°C of ambient temperature) and the car performed really well. At 120 km/h the coolant temperature was 70-80°C and the A/C was working perfectly blowing very cold air. Very reliable car so far. No need to buy a new one!

I could smell the car too, the stale old cigarettes and trebor xtra strong mints mixed in with some musty moulds and Castrol oil

This was my very first car. A 1992 VW passat in forest green. Loved that car to death. Bought it for 1k and drove it until the wheels fell off. Went on road trips and everything. Best part was that if you flipped the back seats over, you got a perfectly flat surface to roll out a mattress. Was perfect for camping and adventures.
I started today my '93 Polo G40 after eleven years sitting in the garage...those engines are unbeatable...

German cars of the 80s and 90s will work hundreds of years later (unless fossil fuels are depleted!)
The engine started with just a few simple tools and a few liters of oil. If the current automobile covered with electronic devices is left unattended for 17 years,
it will cost expensive repairs. Parts needed for repair would also have been discontinued.
This is why cars like this are still so popular in many countries :)
