Agreed. There's just something about these "luxury" houses that does not excite me at all. Real Estate in Nigeria just reeks of hustle. There does not seem to be any traditional element to any of these designs. They all have foreign designs. I want a Victorian house, I will visit UK. If I want true Luxury, I will go to Dubai. Nigerian architects need to do better than all this crap.
@@john-tr8jy when you talk about traditional elements, what do you mean. Do you mean they need to add artifacts or build mud houses? I’m just trying to understand you.
Such expensive properties should ideally be showcased with furniture. The lack of furnishings doesn’t do it justice, instead it makes the house look like an overpriced box
Dude, the preface was totally unnecessary (and in fact quite irrelevant). It all boils down to personal taste, and (while I duly respect yours) being an “architect” doesn’t somehow render your aesthetic preferences any more valid or ‘better’ than others (and of course homes are the about most PERSONAL of things). If all architects shared the same taste or design philosophy, the world would be an extremely drab place. Personally, I like to see architects/designers take chances even if they don’t always come off for everyone.
Well , i prefer traditional design to contemporary ones, contemporary designs look too tacky to me. They just seem too serious and to the point, i mean can you compare european designs of old to the "more functional" designs they have now? We built our huts round for a reason back then , where are all the traces of those today? everything is square or rectangular and every other house looks the same these days, no character, no art, no thought, just square , rectangles and triangles.
Please who ever is behind this video production should pls go to Hollywood, ur talent is needed there....love d 120fps & some transitions n d music top notch💯
Much to say but one thing I want to mention is the entrance could’ve been a wow factor and so much impressive if the staircases didn’t have wide pillars on their end
The house is impressive but the land is too small for what they're trying to achieve. And that is why the double spiral staircases on the entrance are so close. Way too close.
Good house... Please stop the transitions between day and night... It's too much... And it's unnecessary especially at the beginning of the tour... Lastly, background music is too much 😅
Yup I'm sick and tired of all these "luxury" houses in Lagos. They don't look comfortable nor authentic. They are just large and have expensive materials and features.
@@LAMar-hz2txI don’t think you been to the United States before to mention that Nigerian houses are better than houses in the US. Rick Ross house alone in Atlanta with acres of land and 100 bedrooms not to talk celebrities houses alone in the star island in Miami or properties in west palm beach Florida. The most beautiful house in Nigeria is not up to the standard of Rick Roos house alone not talk properties Hollywood, Beverly Hills. American houses for the rich are gigantic with acres of land, so if you don’t know something stop running your mouth. I won’t pay 700 million naira for this house. There’s not garden, no compound and it’s overrated. It’s not my kind of house. Chief olu Okeowo residence is what I called classy with massive pool that have built in outdoor TV and even indoor hall. It’s a class on its own.
@@tayobibi I am a Nigerian American so I know both countries well they are more homeless people in America than in Nigeria, Hollywood makes America looks like heaven but trust me Nigeria is a great nation
This house is still on the market? They've decided to repaint it if that would do the magic.😅The law of demand and supply does not apply in Nigeria.....lf 100 naira for example is the price a house is sold that is the price people are willing and able to pay. If it does not sell at 120 naira that means it is not the right price,it must be reduced to that point people are willing and able to pay, which is 100 naira, not by repainting it all white.😅Nice one confidence,❤Cheers.
We need to do better when we talk about luxury. How can you have a 1.3 billion house in a crowded neighborhood? The swimming pool is 1/10. The interior is slightly above average, but the stairs and video are great. Luxury is a rarity, exclusivity, elegance, and uniqueness. Our architecture is still not doing enough. Everything is just the same concept. Kudos to Eden Oasis I always like your confidence.
I get the effort to use the video production to boost up the profile of house but in all honesty, when u remove all the special effects, the house is average and grossly overpriced at 1.3B
NIce video. The proportions are off from the get go. The double stairs are waaay too close the foyer too narrow.... just for starters. and there is nothing Victorian about it. But its not a bad attempt at going big.
Very beautiful property, very beautiful. But Nigeria builders need to learn how to include a car garage, a house of this magnitude, needs, at least a 4-car garage on a house like this. If one can afford a $1M house, probably have a car collection that needs safe keeping from the element. $1M house with a $50 car port is not it. Otherwise, very beautiful property.
What’s the Yellow paint combination for , the hand rails are too dramatic. Good space , good video production but the house is a waste of Space from design to finishing
Overpriced, but undelivered. For a property of 1.3BM I’d expect minimum of 10 bedrooms, (all en-suites) 2reception rooms, 2 drawing room. A cinema room and then all the other stuff added. Cheers 🍻even my 3 bed here in the diaspora fine pass this one.
Luxury can quick Una type or talk . But you can’t name one good name brand furniture or marble . Una go carry local carpenter build house call am luxury .. I pity first time buyers
The house is nice , I like Victorian designs; they have a fuller, and richer appearance, elegant and timeless. The developer should have used an interior designer or architect designer that can give professional advice, the front entrance colours (yellow, white) and material mix (Black and Brown tiles) looks like a mismatch, just my opinion. The entrance/foyer looks clustered with the 2 huge columns and 2 stairs. The distance between the columns is not what you would describe as spacious passage. No columns and 1 large stairs would bring that deserved opulence, elegance and space. The house size is great, but not aesthetically pleasing to attract the clients it's trying to attract. People buy with emotions and justify with logic later. My 2 cents
Nigerian posh homes tend to look a bit sterile, unwarm, unhomely and lack a bit of soul! Not everyone will agree with me, i know. These homes tend to have more of a expensive hotel feel and are normally painted in white/neutral colours that take away any character and uniqueness from a home.
There is nothing special about the architecture, for cost. The good thing about the house is the location and the neighbourhood. It doesn’t what the value.
