I have this speaker, the new version and is a super speaker. I picked this over the 15" as the weight and size is manageable for bringing to a gig. I use it for a variety of occasions and does the trick.
I think the bass sounds pretty good, especially when set to club mode. If it gets too loud, though, it will start to distort and lose clarity. In my opinion, if you're doing a cookout, conference, cocktail party, etc. You could easily get away without using a sub. As far as running a kick drum through it, I would, but go I'd go easy with the volume and gain on that specific channel on the mixer. When it comes to using them as a DJ (dancing) with anything more than 50 people, I would have my doubts. This is all just my opinion. The specs on frequency range: 48Hz-20khz (-10 dB) Hope this helps.
@ I am interested in becoming a Christian DJ only playing Christian music. It probably won’t be at super loud volumes just for background music I predict. I would of course get the ZLX 15s to have a little more kick. I’m sure I would pick up some subs later on.
That's a great question. I think they're decent, but I will do a video within the next couple of days, just on the effects and tag it in this video. Thanks for watching.
@pelongkonyak6063 Depending on the makeup of the act (band, duo, solo, or Dj), I would think one speaker would be able to cover about 80 to 100 people. Two speakers should get you to 150 comfortably, in my opinion Maybe a little less outdoors. When it comes to DJing a wedding or a larger party with people dancing, you might want to put at least 1 subwoofer with it. None of this is scientific, of course, just my best guess. 🎶🤙🏽

Do they have descent bass just by themselves without a sub?

I'm interested in how good are the onboard effects for singing?

@@joesavia Thank you!
ruclips.net/video/C4wCiDq9sSc/видео.html I finally got around to recording a demo of the effects. I hope it's helpful.
Hey, Sir. What size of audience can it cover maximum in an open/outdoor event?
