    My brother was killed by a woman that stole a truck and hit him head on, going over a hundred. Right there in Lakeland Fl. He didnt get a press conference. He didnt get anything. But an early death. He was going to the post office. He was a postmaster. A father. A veteran. A good man. Rip Kenneth Roger Gadd.

      Sorry for ur loss. But definitely understand. My father also died from being hit at high speed by a drunk driver but passed yrs later after the accident. He was hospitalized the entire time. But I think Judd may be coming to conclusions prematurely. Bcse it seems like they are not done w the investigation. What if the car she was driving was defective. Bcse usually if a person has a close call, they usually will stop the behavior even if they're drinking. Plus it appears she just had a good day at the beach and has a child of her own. And her family didn't see that as her typical behavior. I'm just hoping all this lifelong pain wasn't from just her sheer stupidity.

      I had a UK photo business and a regular client was a crash investigator. He would bring in his film, sometimes with a warning, 'This is a fatal' and I'd process them and print out multiple 8x6 copies for the court cases. The mangling of cars was incredible and often I'd wonder how anyone involved managed to survive.

    3 girls died in a crash near me awhile ago. The parents blamed the road, the corner, the tree, the highway department, the highway patrol, and the guy that restocks the soda machine at the repair shop up the street. When we all saw the pictures of her pickup truck split into THREE pieces, everybody knew where the blame should lay. All of the parents are/were still in total denial. "My baby did nothing wrong!" State Police accident investigators determined she was doing OVER 140. I drive that road, and also have a pickup. I wouldn't take that turn at over 35 in DAYLIGHT, and this girl tried at 140+ at 3:45 AM. She was almost 17, had a learner's permit, and no adult in the vehicle over 21 with a valid license. The other two girls were 15. None of the caskets were open.

      It wouldn't matter bc we have plenty in Louisiana who don't have their license but drives anyway and usually recklessly to cause accidents and they here seem to live and the families are left devastated with no love one and they can't sue a lover with no insurance and they know it. They know usually nothing happens to them until they kill someone and then it's just jail that they don't fear bc again...they have nothing. We've had people that had 4 DUIs and until they killed someone nothing was done and like I said they just drive wo anything! It's hotrible!😢

    My heart breaks for the innocent grandparents killed in this crash, for the 3 year old little grandson, and for the other 3 year old who now has no mother. My grandma was killed crossing a road when she came out from the cemetery after visiting grandpa. It is the worst thing, the most hurtful, that ever happened in my life. I will grieve for her my whole life. Time lessens it a bit but the hurt is always there. She was the best person I've ever known. That was in 1970, almost 54 years ago now. How much better life would have been with my grandma. I pray for God's peace and strength to be given to the victims' families. This is a tragedy they will live with forever. 😭🙏

      I always drive defensively and expect people to do stupid, illegal moves.
      Drivers are more inept today than any time in decades.
      The drivers manual is half the size it was in the 1980s.
      Example: We used to have to memorize braking at three different speeds AND three different conditions (dry, wet and snow) but that was removed by the year 2000.

      😮 but unfortunately that would include the police. I've seen twice they chase someone down because they had a taillight out or too much tinted on the window. The person they chased was going the speed limit.

    I used to travel 60 on business when I worked for Westgate Resorts many times, this road is treacherous especially when there is little to no law enforcement. There have been deaths on this road in the past, I've seen the results. The area should be covered by state and county law enforcement to stop these people. I live in Marion county and I fear for my life at times because of the lack of enforcement, I'm sick of it.

      Possibly more than 1 solution here, including responsible driving in the first place, stronger penalties for criminal speeding and for repeat offenders.

      The road should have been widened years ago. It's the two lane sections with some moron driving 5-10 mph below the speed limit and they cause enormous backups and wreckless passing. I've driven very wrecklessly on that road, going up to 95mph and illegal passing to overtake some moron driving 50.
      In arizona, they will ticket you if your are driving below the speed limit causing a backup.

      @@user-mm4nq7im4s Just curious: Why would anyone need to go 95 to pass someone going 50? Wouldn't 60 do it?

    • @user-mm4nq7im4s

      @@windycityliz7711 Because that moron who is barely driving 50 has a parade of cars behind them 12-15 cars deep. Now in the passing zones that last a mile or so, you must drive almost 100 to pass up the entire parade to get in front of that moron.

    • @l2xsniper1
      @l2xsniper1 Месяц назад

      @@windycityliz7711 Probably because you want to pass fast enough before opposite traffic comes. 60 against 50 would take way too long to pass someone. You also have to factor in if that person decides to be a douche and speed up to not let you pass.

    • @clanlock
      @clanlock Месяц назад +1

      Hwy 60 needs to be 4 lanes both east and west bound from coast to coast in Florida. Florida needs more elevated roadways without intersections but with on/off ramps like interstate expressways. There is too much traffic traveling on inadequate roadways leading to dangerous and deadly accidents.

    I drive up and down 95 on a semi regular basis, between NC and Baltimore. Cars like this, weaving in and out of lanes doing super speeds, are a dime a dozen these days and nights. It is getting bad out there.
