I’ve used onion skins with my kindergarten class at school. We wrapped onion skins loosely around the eggs and used elastic bands (rubber bands) around each egg to keep the skins somewhat ‘attached’ to the eggs while they were in the dye bath. They were amazingly beautiful with the marbled-like pattern created by the onion skins. The natural dyes work beautifully!

When I was 20 I went to Germany for the first time. It was April & while strolling around a lady came towards me with a basket of colourful Easter eggs. I thought she was selling them but when I asked her how much they were she replied that they were free. I had many fond memories of that trip, and that red Easter egg was without doubt one of them😊 Thank you Germany, for showing kindness to a stranger☺️

Those eggs at the beginning of the video were really cool. Very reasonably priced too. We have nothing like that in my area of the US but if we did they would certainly be much more expensive. You have the cutest dress on during the baking segment! Very cottagecore. ❤ By the way the table looked lovely and those marble cakes and carrot patch cake are incredible. Got a nice laugh over the bloopers and nostalgic hearing German because my best friend’s parents (they are gone now)always spoke German at the table.
Loved the chomping' sound effects! (Don't forget Peter Rabbit would have had a Northern accent as he was from the Lake District! I think they forgot that in the film!)

We also love watching the Peter Rabbit movies so much fun with lovely English scenery..Oh I do miss the British Easter eggs, such a massive variety in every grocery store there..Nothing like that here in the US! Today I went to a Home Goods store (similar to Homesense in U.K.) and saw one large egg for $40! Luckily our U.K. family send Easter eggs, my favourite are the Bounty ones! Marks and Spencer’s has the gluten free ones too which are specially sent for my daughter. Loved the hilarious bloopers.Have a very blessed Easter..Remembering our Saviour Jesus, God bless you both

Hallo liebe Kirsten und Jörg, zuerst wünsche ich euch noch schöne Osterfeiertage. Ich bin leider mit ansehen des Videos spät dran. Die Süßigkeiten zu besonderen Festen in England sind schon ein großer Unterschied zu Deutschland. Ich staune auch immer was es alles gibt. Kann leider nichts davon kosten. Es war wieder so ein schönes Video. Ihr habt euch wieder so viel Mühe gegeben mit dem Backen und der Deko. Vielen Dank. Und dann soll alles perfekt sein. Du machst das alles perfekt!!! Ich habe auch Eier gefärbt. Das war früher schon Tradition, und mit den Kindern damals auch. Es gehört einfach dazu. Ich liebe Karottenkuchen. Den esse ich in England auch immer. Vielleicht hätte Jörg etwas mehr von der Farbe in den Fondant geben müssen. Aber die perfekte, kreative Lösung hattet ihr parat.😄. Der Schluss war so süß. Ich musste richtig lachen. Jörg könnte das ja mal alles in schwäbisch sagen😄. Die Vase auf eurem Tisch gefällt mir sehr gut. Die würde bei uns auch auf den Tisch passen. Habt ihr die schon lange? Wo kann man die kaufen? Vielen Dank liebe Gabi, frohe Ostern von uns! Ja, das mit dem Fondant hat einfach nicht geklappt, Jörg hat zum Schluss richtig viel Farbe hinein gegeben aber es blieb einfach alles nur an den Händen haften, deshalb war es am Besten die 'Karotten' zu bepinseln. Die Vase auf dem Tisch haben wir schon ganz ganz lange, über 25 Jahre - es war glaube ich während unserem zweiten oder sogar allerersten Cornwall-Urlaub bzw. als wir die Insel das erste Mal besucht haben. Wir haben sie damals in Tintagel gekauft. Ganz ganz liebe Grüße

Love the bloopers, makes you both seem so real and make mistakes as we all do and it also makes us laugh which is good for the soul. I too made a Carrot from scratch and it came out so good. I made them for the teachers at school which they loved. Grating the carrots on a grater was the hardest part but well worth it. Have a wonderful Easter.
I can not help but giggle…..I have never spent so much time looking at Easter eggs! What an adventure. I look forward to the marshmallow bunnies. This year however there have been none to be found. I prefer the Brachs bunnies. 😊

Lovely Easter table, but I have to say in Italy we have bigger chocolate eggs, very bigger. They are more simple, only chocolate, not m&m, or Toblerone or kit Kat... Chocolate eggs, dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate too... This year I bought all eggs with chocolate and hazelnuts, so tasty!!! Lindt are my favorite for milk chocolate! And, of course, I love Lindt bunny too!!! 🐰🐰🐰🐰

I'm hosting Easter dinner this year and in the middle of decorating, so this is some timely inspiration! I have to say I've never seen so many Easter Eggs in one place as that Tesco. I was laughing so hard at the end at the bloopers I forgot what else I was going to say, the carrot crunching had me almost wheezing!

I grew up in New England and was born in 1965. I remember our Easter baskets having beautiful and diverse candy, in beautifully wrapped foil with flowers and pictures. We always had a huge sugar egg with a scene inside, and who remembers the large coconut cream eggs that weighed about a pound? I NEVER see them anymore. The candy today is crap in comparison.
I remember those sugar eggs too. Too pretty to eat! And those big eggs usually had a pretty trim with a flower on top. Thanks for that memory. By the way, SEES chocolates ( order online) still make those fancy chocolate eggs) Happy Easter friend 🥕🐇🌷
I used to get a large buttercream egg in the center of the basket. I found a candy store in town who still sells them, so at least some kids will still have that colossus waiting for them Easter morning. You're right though, most candy out there is garbage, you have to go to a chocolatier's.

I love your Easter table. My German friend who used to live in my street taught me how to dye eggs with all sorts of natural pigments. The hardest bit was to blow the content of the eggs through 2 little holes and then we would hang the eggs in a binch of twigs with blossom . I love the lovely traditions you have in Germany to celebrate festivals.

When you two are doing your cooking segments you remind me of Fanny and Johnnie Cradock. They were very big on UK television in the 60's and early 70's.
Kirsten strikes me as a much nicer person than Fanny Cradock, and i don't think Joerg is a henpecked husband (which Jonnnie was).
I enjoyed your video so much. Easter is my favorite holiday. My grandchildren are teens now and they still get baskets and we color and hunt eggs. Have a blessed Easter as we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Hallo liebe Kirsten und Jörg, zuerst wünsche ich euch noch schöne Osterfeiertage. Ich bin leider mit ansehen des Videos spät dran. Die Süßigkeiten zu besonderen Festen in England sind schon ein großer Unterschied zu Deutschland. Ich staune auch immer was es alles gibt. Kann leider nichts davon kosten. Es war wieder so ein schönes Video. Ihr habt euch wieder so viel Mühe gegeben mit dem Backen und der Deko. Vielen Dank. Und dann soll alles perfekt sein. Du machst das alles perfekt!!! Ich habe auch Eier gefärbt. Das war früher schon Tradition, und mit den Kindern damals auch. Es gehört einfach dazu. Ich liebe Karottenkuchen. Den esse ich in England auch immer. Vielleicht hätte Jörg etwas mehr von der Farbe in den Fondant geben müssen. Aber die perfekte, kreative Lösung hattet ihr parat.😄. Der Schluss war so süß. Ich musste richtig lachen. Jörg könnte das ja mal alles in schwäbisch sagen😄. Die Vase auf eurem Tisch gefällt mir sehr gut. Die würde bei uns auch auf den Tisch passen. Habt ihr die schon lange? Wo kann man die kaufen? Ja, das mit dem Fondant hat einfach nicht geklappt, Jörg hat zum Schluss richtig viel Farbe hinein gegeben aber es blieb einfach alles nur an den Händen haften, deshalb war es am Besten die 'Karotten' zu bepinseln. Die Vase auf dem Tisch haben wir schon ganz ganz lange, über 25 Jahre - es war glaube ich während unserem zweiten oder sogar allerersten Cornwall-Urlaub bzw. als wir die Insel das erste Mal besucht haben. Wir haben sie damals in Tintagel gekauft. Ganz ganz liebe Grüße

I am in the US and it was so much fun watching you shop, our stores not as full as yours, then to watch you prepare the cake and the decorating was very enjoyable. The table looks beautiful. Happy Easter.
Love the bloopers, makes you both seem so real and make mistakes as we all do and it also makes us laugh which is good for the soul. I too made a Carrot from scratch and it came out so good. I made them for the teachers at school which they loved. Grating the carrots on a grater was the hardest part but well worth it. Have a wonderful Easter.

Mir gefällt an eurem Kanal, dass ihr euer Leben in England so schön zeigt wie man es halt als England Fan gerne mag, aber auch, wie wir das hier in Deutschland machen. Lovely Easter table, but I have to say in Italy we have bigger chocolate eggs, very bigger. They are more simple, only chocolate, not m&m, or Toblerone or kit Kat... Chocolate eggs, dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate too... This year I bought all eggs with chocolate and hazelnuts, so tasty!!! Lindt are my favorite for milk chocolate! And, of course, I love Lindt bunny too!!! 🐰🐰🐰🐰

I'm hosting Easter dinner this year and in the middle of decorating, so this is some timely inspiration! I have to say I've never seen so many Easter Eggs in one place as that Tesco. I was laughing so hard at the end at the bloopers I forgot what else I was going to say, the carrot crunching had me almost wheezing!

I grew up in New England and was born in 1965. I remember our Easter baskets having beautiful and diverse candy, in beautifully wrapped foil with flowers and pictures. We always had a huge sugar egg with a scene inside, and who remembers the large coconut cream eggs that weighed about a pound? I NEVER see them anymore. The candy today is crap in comparison.
I remember those sugar eggs too. Too pretty to eat! And those big eggs usually had a pretty trim with a flower on top. Thanks for that memory. By the way, SEES chocolates ( order online) still make those fancy chocolate eggs) Happy Easter friend 🥕🐇🌷
I used to get a large buttercream egg in the center of the basket. I found a candy store in town who still sells them, so at least some kids will still have that colossus waiting for them Easter morning. You're right though, most candy out there is garbage, you have to go to a chocolatier's.
I remember making sugar eggs with scenes! Seems like that activity has faded away. Now I'm inspired to make one!

I love your Easter table. My German friend who used to live in my street taught me how to dye eggs with all sorts of natural pigments. The hardest bit was to blow the content of the eggs through 2 little holes and then we would hang the eggs in a binch of twigs with blossom . I love the lovely traditions you have in Germany to celebrate festivals.
