Simple Ceramics: Making Mini Vases w/Faces (How I use simple tools & steps to make vases like this)

In this video I will show you how a use a small version of the pinch pot method and coil method to create a cute miniature vase like this one. I'll show you what I do step by step so that you too can create a mini.
You'll need a very small amount of clay and some tools of your choice. I like to use a variety, but I prefer ones that have a rounded end (paint brushes are nice for this). Look around your home or studio and experiment with various tools. You don't have to have the exact same ones that I do in order to be successful in this project (or any for that matter).
Let's get creative.
This video will show you how to construct a slab mug using some simple steps and techniques. Anyone can create this simple functional item.
This is another one of my favorite ceramics projects to do with my beginning clay students. You can enhance the difficulty by creating your own stamp, bulging the belly of the mug, altering the shape of the handle or creating a set of mugs.
