I have watched this Vlog several time, and honestly Michael and Stephanie have a magic that is so lively fun and special! I feel sad that their Vlog relationship has ended. A big loss for us all.
That accordion player is Christian Bassoul, he was my 'landlord' when I rented an apartment, very near that location, from him on Rue Mouffetard (back in 2009) the nicest man, and quite the musician, Elvis was "Mr. Vegas", Christian is "Mr. Mouffetard".
What a lovely memory to share! Can't wait to get back to Paris!
😍A fun fact! Thank you for sharing!!💕💕
You find Phillip and then he finds your Grandma's cutlery set. I think Grandma approves of Philip.😘🌹
This made me cry and I'm just a viewer lolol
Michael come alive when he is with Stephanie, but Stephanie does seem to bring out the best in most people, it's her joie de vivre for life.
Does he have his own channel? Or perhaps chateau?
@@saradastrickman6406Michael petherick does have his own channel called “doing it ourselves” shoving his family frbivare the chateau his sister in law and brother own. Their parents and sister and her daughter also live there.
His brother has his own channel too, so does his sister .
Having just watched episode “…..My Boyfriend Revealed….”…… it now seems any future episode just has an extra level of sweetness🌸 - extra special for sure ! 🌸Thank you for this happiness! 🇨🇦
I felt so bad for Phillip that he had to leave!
My favorite part was watching how many times Phillip attempted to eat his whiskey truffle thinking it was time and then having to pull back. Too funny :)
That was very funny.
For some reason I didn't want this episode to end, I was having so much fun. Thank you guys!👍
I feel the same. What a glorious time they had and I felt so happy watching them! Loved the cool hotel suite and all brocante shopping. Thank you to Stephanie, Philip and Michael for taking us along. All the best to you from SW Florida.
For some reason?!? What more reason would you need than Paree mon amie!
I agree. These episodes are the best.
I have just noticed that you and Philip are very alike over the eyes, twin flame....x
Booked our stay at the Hotel Monte Cristo Paris after watching your wonderful vlog. We are going to France to celebrate our 50th anniversary, and I've been looking for the perfect hotel. Thanks to you, I've found it. Thank you. I appreciate and enjoy your videos so much. Thank you, Stephanie. Thank you.
Happy anniversary!
Happy Anniversary and let us know what the hotel was like
Awesome have a wonderful time! Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death. Auntie Mame
Lucky you!
Happy anniversary
That's an approval from your Grand Mother that Philip is the one for you that Philip finds her cutlery xx
That is a sweet thought.
Even though I’m so sorry someone told your story of you and Philip, it just seems all the sweeter to watch your videos and know that you’re a couple.
So happy you have your cutlery set complete and that you were reunited with Michael P in Paris!! How fun!!
Will miss Philip, but thrilled he’s doing something that he loves. 💗
Totally agree !! It makes my heart melt ! So happy for you both ❤️
What video was it that spilled the proverbial beans? Anyone know? Unfortunate in some ways but likely a relief in the long run. I am very happy for them. Such lovely people!
@@kathleenclark5877 UK T.V Channel 4 disclosed that Philip was her boyfriend in their recent Chateau DIY. Think you can only see this in UK.
It was a shame.
Perhaps it might have been sensible to ask to see the footage before it went public.
Dawn Butler: thanks for the information. Although they would likely have wanted their private lives kept private (blogging about the everyday lives of the chateau inhabitants notwithstanding), it really IS sweet to know and I’ll bet that many of us were starting to pick up wee clues here and there that, on reflection, make complete and utter sense now. I feel sure I am not the only one. At any rate, it is really nice to know that positive things can happen despite Covid conditions.
@@kathleenclark5877 yes he is a nice young serious man but there is still a lot of chemistry between Stephanie and Michael. He brings out the fun naughty side of her. Take care
Even before the boyfriend reveal video, I noticed that Philip seemed like Stephanie’s soulmate - having the same passion for antique/vintage items, chateau life, design, and fashion. This recent travel to another brocante just proves it. Congrats to Stephanie and Philip.
Yes I agree......lol
And their love of music!! They harmonize beautifully!!
Yes, I thought they were on the
same love wave length. Does
anyone know how old Phillip
is? They do make a good match!
Sandra: he is 24 or 25.
There's a line you don't hear very often... "move away from the taxidermy"! 😄😄😄
I ADORE how so many of you chateau owners are friends and associate often! The best vlogs are the ones where you "cross-over" with each other to share your experiences!
All the men in your life are very magical.
Love you and Phillip together.
Stephanie can take a chair in the train and say she always brings her own seats. 🤣
When I worked next to the Samaritaine I would go buy a Chanel lipstick everytime I was a bit down. I counted over 50 of them one day ! Over a few years I add !
LOVE this! Do you mind sharing a few favorite shades?
Fifty, really? Sad to realise that your days in Paris were not always that upbeat as the one Stephanie shared in this video. Hope you're doing better now ;)
@@marlenebos6140 Well it mostly came down to too much work. In fashion the days and weeks are long and rest isn't often on the menu so I popped across the road and aimed straight for Chanel whose products are amazing. Sadly the old Samaritaine is now a hyper-luxury venue that has surely lost most of it's charm in exchange for more boutiquiness ! Back i nthe day I met my partner there and we were together for 20 years and still best friends and neighbours ! Another Philippe !
Thank you @@TheFiown for your response. My remark was meant to be a bit tongue in cheek. In fact I'm somewhat jealous of anyone who has/had the chance to live and work in Paris for a while. But I also fully understand that the life/work balance is a challenge there, as in most big cities. Fun fact to find out that you Stephanie, had a partner also called Philip (although with double p and e). Enjoy your weekend (perhaps with some Outlander vibes? Are you a fan?). Grts from Northern Ireland.
My favorite Chanel colour was 'Sugar Praline' long since discontinued. Thankfully, I stocked up.
So good to see Michael again. Watching you all is like watching an old movie. Thank you for sharing.
I love the relationship, they are beautiful together. Lower the volume, focus on the positive. Stephanie is very positive never crabby or annoyed. I like her energy. Love is ageless, people should mind their business. I love to know about the play Philip was in.
I love how Steph pronounces his first and last name "Michael Potts", I just get a kick out of that 😁
@Derrick Langford I noticed she only started doing that when Michael Petherick entered the picture, in order to distinguish between the two of them. But it is fun!
It’s so true that when you finally think you’ll never do or find something, that’s when you find it! I found my grandmothers same China pattern in a random antique shop recently and she bought hers in the 50s I believe. I saw it and was shocked. It’s great to feel connected to those we have lost.
FYI - That Cadillac is a 1950 Series 62. Made in Detroit.
Because you absolutely need to know, Stephanie, the 50's American automobile at your Paris hotel was, as Philip pointed out, a Cadillac -- and the name Cadillac has very French roots. The first Cadillacs were built in Detroit in 1902 by Henry Leland who named the car after Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac, an early 18th century French explorer who founded the city, which was part of New France at the time. Cadillac is also the name of the French town in the Department of Gironde just south of Bordeaux. Better yet, the impressive Castle of the Dukes of Epernon Cadillac, built in the 16th century, is open to visitors. Could it be worth a Chateau Diaries vlog?
That’s fascinating, thanks!
Binge watching all your videos! My fiancé is 17 years younger and a Scot, I am Dutch 😊 Celebrated our 12 years anniversary a couple of weeks ago. Much love to both of you lovely couple!
One of my very favorite often repeated phrases I frequently hear on "The Chateau Diaries" is a version of someone usually Stephanie saying "Philip spotted......"! That man's mind has a unique & exacting talent that replace & combine computer memory & iditic memory/artist-designer as he can find things far off with a laser focus & know exactly where in the chateau it will go or where in time & space he has seen its matchmate or where the item will exactly fit!. I am literally in awe of his unique talent. Kudos Philip, you are one of a kind and absolutely irreplaceable!
It was lovely to see Michael- he is one of my favourites ❤️🇦🇺
I have enjoyed just the wonderful relationship among all the folks at La Lande. I think that it was aweful that a tv channel outed their relationship. I guess nothing is sacred anymore.Look at the way they lie about The Firm and all it's members. Love the fact that Steph and Phillip are so happy. Happy is so good in this time of such negativity. I just love them all.
I feel for Stephanie. She sounds ever so less her usual self since they were outed. It seems so strange to me that in a world where such dramatic self-transformation and relationship configurations are acceptable that this ridiculous prejudice about older women dating younger men still persists. Consenting adults here, move along.
Totally agree, happiness and love should be welcomed between consenting adults!!
They are such a perfect match for each other,. I didn't even think about age. Until you bought it up. Old Souls 🙏🖖✌️❤️
@@amyschneidhorst1384 The people who don’t accept LGBT relationships are the same kind of people who can’t accept big age differences where women are older than the men.
@@amyschneidhorst1384 I disagree....it makes a lot of stress keeping a secret like that when you are such a public person...I viewed them both as having a more "relieved" demeanor .... now they can relax and be their selves....so if they want to hold hands, or kiss good-bye, it's no big deal. They both look happy.
This is just a joy to watch! So happy for all!!
So nice to see old friends together again and enjoying the good things in life.
A GREAT tour of Paris with friends. Perfect.
Stephanie that lip color looks sooooo good on you 🥺💖
The two of you in this moment.. living your best life makes my heart smile. This love makes me so happy for you both 💕
You are so right, skimp where you can, so you can splurge when you want to! Finding your Grandmother's cutlery gives me hope... I have been looking for the coffee pot to my Grandmother's china since I was a teenager! I KNOW it exists (I have the demitasses)!! I am so happy that the 3 of you got together for a bit! You deserve a break after the past week or so!!
Check Replacements Ltd
They have a massive inventory. If it isn't in stock, they will notify you when it comes in.
So great to see Michael in such good order.
Stefanie I'm so incredibly pleased how over the top happy you are now since Phillip. Much ❤ 😍
I am so happy for you and Philip. Even though you ment to keep it private I do believe it must be a sense of relief not having to hide your affection. Michael is a sweetheart 💕 I am so glad you invited him along. Blessings to you all and a safe journey home.
SO HAPPY YOU FOUND THE SILVER !
"Splurge on the decanter, save on the whiskey!" Love it!🤣
The hotel room? OMG - it is everything! Sooo beautiful!
It so special that you found the cutlery! Paris always seems to have a bit of magic in store. Also, I am fully in support of those rose plates for valentine's day from the previous vlog. The lip balm is lovely! If you can't be naughty sometimes, what's the point? You work so hard. Thank you, as always, for sharing such delights with us. Now I'm off to watch Michael's vlog!
The cutlery finds were most auspicious 🌝
This is one of my favorite vlogs. You three are such a joy! I'm always left with wanting more ...🌹💞🌹
I must say that I have just watched yours and Michael’s videos, and they felt so much longer that 20 minutes. You both managed to fit soooo much fun into them. Have a safe trip back to the chateau Steph. And Phillip, could you do a little bit of footage at one of your rehearsals for us? Pretty please? ☺️
Beautiful Paris, and brocante is my favourite! I would save on whiskey and splurge on the decanter as well! Hilarious!
What is there about Michael that just makes one smile and laugh and just be soooo happy 🥰😍
I was just in Paris walking through a flea market via you, Stephanie et Philip. Bless you for all the joy you bring to us far far away(Oregon, USA)🥰🌻🥰
It was a joy to come along on your day in Paris!
Oh Phillip would be so much fun to shop with 😁 So fabulous seeing the three musketeers together! ❤️
so lovely to see you and Michael together again, love both of your child like wonder and fun in everything you do .
Lovely Paris trip. So sorry Philip had to leave the trio early. Thank you for the adventure of Paris.
The lipbalm part reminded me of when I had my very first bank account and card for the first time, I went to the Galeries Lafayette and bought myself a Chanel lipstick as my first purchase.
Your grandmother is certainly watching over you and basking in your joy love ❤
You all just make it a happy adventure to be with you...
So happy to see you having fun together again!
It was wonderful to see you and Michael together again! In Paris no less!! 🥂
Those silverware finds weren’t an accident you know, a “godwink” if I ever saw one. Synchronicity & a blessing for you & Phillip & your home.
Oh that little square at Rue Moufftard brought back old memories… I really love Paris in the fall, October being my fave month when the scent of roaste chestuts hangs over the Jardin Luxembourg, and I’m in the mood for red wine or a ’tipunch. Guessing you chose the right hotel for the latter! Such a lovely view, love the Paris rooftops eith all those thousands of terracotta chimney cylinders…
NOT shopping alot in Paris is difficult, I’m seriously impressed.
Been years since I was there, adding ”covid” even longer. Crazy how time flies.
Fun video, have fun!
And toi toi Philip!
What a great tour of Paris with good friends. How wonderful that Philip found your grandmother’s cutlery set. She must approve of him. Looking forward to the advent blogs 😍😘
Yes what a lovely thought. Stephanie said - all those of years of searching and only ever 1 teaspoon. Along comes Phillip and with his wonderful eye for all things beautiful and precious (Stephanie, woodland animals, art, antiques etc) and without even trying - ooh is that your Grandmothers cutlery set? All the most special things in life - come naturally. I didn't comment yesterday but I just agree with you - it is a sign that the stars approve.
I thought the same thing. Like a little sign from her that Phillip is in her good books! As I recall in an early vlog when Stephanie spoke of her grandmother, “she makes Mummy look like a pussycat”, so that is high praise indeed!
You’re all so sweet🥰💓✨✨ and I’m glad you got the lipstick, Steph👍🏼☺️
I love seeing you and Michael together having fun.
I'm so Happy to see you an Micheal reunite!!! It's been to long since we've been able to see you two together. Your friendship us absolutely beautiful!!
Love the interactions between Michael and Stephanie - such good grace and humor, mirth, and loving friendship. 💕💗❤️💕💕💕
Dynamic Duo reunited at last! :)
I live in one of the most Beautiful places in the world (London), but (Paris) it’s a dream.Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
The first time my husband took me to France we visited La Fayette I was totally blown away at how beautiful the interior is . We lunched outside and enjoyed the view of the Eiffel Tower and it’s surrounds. Maybe this year we’ll return and also our other favourite places in Italy. 🇦🇺🙋♀️
My Grandmother had a 1950 black cadillac convertible...with red leather interior...i remember staring at the dashboard...as a tyke
Definitely impressed that Phillip knows Royal Albert china! He does have an eye!
17:55 to 19:05 was my favourite part. I literally could not move from there. I kept playing it over and over again. So much fun. I eventually watched the rest.
Wonderful to see Paris. Thanks for the ride. Beautiful hotel. Blessings.
Another super video . Paris looked so fun through yere eyes . I can not wait for the advent blogs
Wonderful to see the dynamic duo together again!
I think your previous owner's ghost who pledged to send the right people to make it work seems to be being fulfilled. Lol!🤣
And we get to enjoy it all too!
The Three Musketeers, antique silver, Whiskey chocolate.... a great start to the day along with the beautiful Galeries Lafayette, I haven't been in there since 1987!
Really enjoyed watching this , lol , on to the next one 👍😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
adorables amis. La vie est belle…🥂💜🥂💜🥂💜🥂Brings back beautiful memories as we ate at the same cafe and had that same view…💜💜🥂🥂💜💜
I know how happy you must be to have found your grandmother's cutlery set. My father brought home a china set from Japan during the Korean War, called Golden Autumn by Rayku. I now have it but it is missing some pieces and I just can't find any replacements. If I ever come across it, I will be just as excited as you are.
And a perfect Parisian video visit, I would loved to be at that brocante for the silver too. Merci beaucoup!
Enjoying every episode, amaaazing! So fun! Cadillac is an American classic, and thank you, Cuba, for its preservation.
Love is charming don’t hide it
Thank you for taking us along on your trips. I was so blown away by the designer "Sunset Suite" in the Hotel by the river and now I have fallen in love with the flame pattern on the carpet and wall paper. It is better than any magazine.
I thoroughly enjoyed this vlog! Made me a bit nostalgic for the older vlogs :) and Michael is right, you are allowed to buy yourself a lipstick (or whatever else you want) and please don’t ever feel bad or like you have to justify it. Life is for living and enjoying.
Paris and the brocante were perfect. Love the way you all get on so well
Very happy and glad to see and discover very beautiful and old historical places with a very nice and wonderful people each video brings happiness to me thx
Inspiration 100%.
So many interesting subjects to devour: brilliant x.
It was nice to see the Paris Parisians use, not the tourist centres.
I loved hearing Michael’s happy laugh throughout this video !!
xoxo Jamie and Sable ( 🐶)
Wonderful to see you and Michael together again.
Awe it was lovely to see Michael again he’s such a lovely chap. ❤️
What a delightful video, I smiled and laughed through the whole thing, what fun...I want to be there too...sighhhh...I guess I'll fix a rum cocktail since I'm in Florida so close to Cuba...cheers...!
Thank you so very much for sharing this with all of us. I’m a NYC girl for 5 generations and I love it to the marrow of my bones. Having said that, Paris is the most beautiful city in the world and the people are lovely. I can’t wait to go back.
You two are just like adorable children playing on their favorite playground.
And it's so joyfull to watch :)
So lovely to see Michael happy and well. ☺️ Lovely vlog! I’m actually obsessed with the Chateau Diaries at this point and I cannot wait for Advent! x
Phillip....your comment on the whiskey and decanter is...OUTSTANDING!
Wow Stephanie, I thru you have been places a lot of my friends will never go.
Thank you for sharing. Have a great weekend!!!
Your nail color is very flattering!
so exciting to see Michael and you in Paris!
I believe the term in good company shows here..I was just talking the other day about the glow we get when we are with people we love.
love the hotel, like a Wes Anderson set!
What a perfect day for all, loved watching.
My heart is just so happy seeing you and Phillip together 😍😍
So lovely to see you all so very happy 😊
