I honestly feel it was the right move for Beltran to return to Trek on a Voyager related property than Picard... even though Seven is on Picard, it just makes more sense imo.

My crush on Chakotay aside Robert Beltran makes some damn good points here. I'd be super cautious too. Contracts and working changes are super different with this stuff to other professions. He's making smart choices not that anyone else isn't. It's not for him atm and he explains why really well. Each to their own and no disrespect x

I did honestly like Chakotay . However with Picard , and Janeway , along with Riker and dare I say Tuvok returning ?? I think there may be too many Chiefs and not enough Indians for Beltran to stand out , unless he was back to his ways as a renegade Starfleet ........just dont see any parseks for him

Couldn't he just specify in the contract, before signing it, that they have to get his approval on major changes to his lines? Why should he have to fear that they would do that to him without even asking him first, since he's the only canon Chakotay actor, so he ought to know what lines should and shouldn't go to that character?

Chakotay was unfortunately a bit bland. I think he and Harry Kim were the last in rank in terms of interesting characters on the show, not really their fault, just how it turned out.
