- Turkey's Bayraktar TB2 Drones have become an international success over the past couple of years notching up sales in Poland, Ukraine, Qatar, Azerbaijan and Morocco. Poland became its latest customer when Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak announced a contract on May 25 for 24 drones armed with anti-tank projectiles stating that they have proven themselves in wars. As Erdogan told reporters while announcing the Poland deal, "Turkey will for the first time in its history export drones to a NATO and EU member." There are currently a total of 180 Bayraktar TB2 unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs) operating in four countries, including Turkey."

Poland bought Turkish drones at a good price. This was important to us. We finally paid our debt to Ludomil Rayski. He was a Polish who took refuge in the Ottoman Empire. After becoming an Ottoman citizen, he returned to his country. And when he was called up for military service, he returned and served as a pilot in the Dardanelles War. Then he served for the establishment of the Turkish air force. We never forget the good or bad done to us.

You know what concerns me?
We all finally know how overhyped and dogshit the Russian Armed Forces turned out to be. Turkey might decide they don't need NATO anymore, and they'd probably be right - the Turkish Armed Forces could quite happily whip Russia on their own.
Very effective in Ukraine at the moment … definitely a good investment for defence.

The reaper and predator drones are by far superior to any drones currently on market. The problem as this video lists' is affordability: each unit costing tens of millions, despite having proved themselves affective in combat; that price tag is too costly.
@@lmy2366 Turkish drones costs about $1.5 million each vs american drone which costs up to $50 million or more each and british drones costs $16 million each, no brainer here, for the Turkish drones you pay considerably less to get the job done the same way as any other drone on the market but british/american drones maybe able to carry more weapon systems and heavier payloads

I think one of the most important points that are overlooked here is that the Turks, while producing unmanned aerial vehicles, have developed different technological warfare weapons that will protect them and blind them to radar systems, and they use them in a complicated way with unmanned aerial vehicles, the closest example of this we saw in the Karabakh War.

I believe the Turkish Drones are built to NATO standards, that would be a good reason to consider their drones. Polish are not stupid, they know what they are buying, if paid $250,000,000 I'm sure they did their research.

On the contrary, TB2 participated in actual war. If you want to cancel out TB2 you have to discard reapers first. Then what's left? Nothing to count.

I think that was the first and only time I ever saw the deployment of drones as a main (strategical) tool for winning a war-campaign - i.e: not as a "side-weapon" or even reconnaisance weapon just to acquire targets and then destroy them by another weapon-system, later, but as full fledged - active - main weapon system. On both occasions the Turkish military deployed them nd "turned the tide" just by using these. A quick "reminder" from History about Turkish Military capabilities (and traditions). Continue to under-estimate them at your own peril.

Actually, US MQ9 is not the competitor of TB2, it is the competitor of Akinci & TB3. They can carry 8 times more than TB2, faster than MQ9 & will be available to be used in new Turkish Light Aircraft Carriers/Amphibious Assoult Ships TCG Anadolu and TCG Trakya. Turkey is also developing an unmanned assault plane named MİUS, with a top speed of 800 km/h which will also be used with new carriers.
800 kph to reach a target, not in an actual confrontation combat zone; which a necessary addition since most countries, including Turkey, do not have the ability that the U.S. has to establish a hot zone presence with forward / expeditionary bases and what not.
In a sense, the Turkish model is an excellent one that can be compared to the Kalashnikov weapon. Cheap, easily maintained, easily accessible, deadly.
Turkish drones have also been used by government forces in Ethiopia to push back the omoruyan rebels. A rebel province of ethiopia that is fighting the government in Adisababa.
See now for yourself what the TB2 can do. Turkye is full of high tech companies and smart people.

Now it will likely add Ethiopia to that list for Turkey. With it’s business model, they’ve actually have leverage in Drone Diplomacy. The US and Israel played their cards close to the chest and China isn’t providing technical support to their customers. The Turkish drones are cheap enough to put in higher risk situations and the fact that they train their customers and help them maintain the weapon system is a huge factor in their effectiveness. The US needs to take serious notes as Turkey is taking the whole world to school on drone warfare.

I think this drone has proved it's worth on many battlefields now. The Armenians LOST the Nagorno Karabak conflict because of the TB2. Ukraine totally stopped the Russian advance on Kyiv almost exclusively with the TB2. It's DEFINITELY worth the investment, Bayraktar TB2's are now indeed legendary!

Unmanned + low unit cost = greater risk tolerance. Able to take on higher risk sorties and accomplish more lucrative objectives.
Even if it’s shot down by the 10th sortie, 9 tactical victories to 1 tactical loss still equals a strategic victory. Plus you just buy another unit and use the same ground equipment.
Cost effective in capital and manpower.

Apart from the tb2, Turkey has many tactical and strategic mini-attack drones with observation and artificial intelligence. tb33 is a tactical drone, cheap, easy to produce, but with advanced artificial intelligence.The defense industry in Turkey competes, but by sharing every new technology they produce with each other, material gain is in the background with the spirit of patriotism. In Turkey, there are not only tb3, but also tactical strategic observation kamikaze and cheap and very expensive UAV systems capable of heavy air attack.

TB2 did prove itself to be even better than MQ9 because it fought against airt defense and all kinds of Russian defenses

TB-2 didn't win success standalone. It's result of good intel + good planning + nice preparation + good electronical warfare + cost efficiency ..

You have done the same in the last video, too. It is not Kurdish armed group. It is PKK which is recognized as terrorist by mant countries ( Many EU countries, USA, Australia, Japan, Canada etc.). This channel unfortunately overlooks Turkey's fight against terrorists in the Syria and its stabilizing effects in the region (migration crisis). This channel rather subtly deligitimazes Turkey as anti-Kurdish or anti-Civilian since it does not mention those 'Kurdish armed group' as terrorists.
