Thats actually because the asked amount of money goes over the max number an integer value can save. The publishers of this game probably neber thought that someone would try to buy something over 2 billion rubles. Its actually pretty interesting that tarkov reacts that way to this specific error in their code. Thanks for sharing :))
sadly it seems they patched out the bug when you insured a cultist knife it would add -1 rouble to the overall cost of your insurance, meaning that you could fill a raid backpack and in fact you entier pmc inventory with knifes and then insure one item + all the knifes at the time, you could save a whooping 10?20?25? roubles per item xD i know its petty but it was in the game.
there are limits to those items also you should make room in your inventory for the amount of stuff you are buying. meaning you should be lucky if you can find a thing costly enough in the allowed amount and doesn't take up room for the money or the item itself.
