I'm guessing that she works for Salem, and that Salem is the main antagonist behind everything, but we don't know much about her either. I feel like there must be some personal conflict between Salem and Ozpin though, maybe that's what's driving all of this.
Cinder is affiliated with Salem in some way, we know that. But Cinder does most things for herself. She just wants power. Cinder is the best Villain I have seen in pretty much anything in a long time. I can guess more will be revealed about her in Volume four.

I want to be feared. I want to be powerful." and she works for Salem who I am guessing is going to reference The Wicked Witch of the West somehow and Ozpin is the Wizard of Oz so judging by the history of those two characters in their fairytale it might go back to Salem seeking revenge for something of the past and Ozpin does at one point say. "I am a man of many mistakes." Idk, I'm just crazy but we all have to wait until V.4 to see how it actually happens

She's based off of Cinderella and everyone knows that her father(a loved one) passed away and left something for her that was stolen from her by her stepmother and stepsisters and they used her. Or maybe she was promised the power if the fall maiden and then had it go to someone else so she took it back believing that it was her "Destiny". Which would explain her talking to Pyhrra about it before she killed her. "It's a shame you were promised a power that was never truly yours.". Cinder really is interesting and she's my favorite too. I've always found the Vilans more interesting then the main characters.
Her figure and style reminds me so much of lust from Fullmetal Alchemist, and of course they're both attractive in the same way. Anyways, great vid, superb composition ^^

To me, the concept of Salem ruins Cinder. The fact that everyone including Mercury and Emerald (possibly Cinder) were just pawns annoys me. I fell in love with the villains but having some big boss as a plot twist doesn't do it for me. It kind of makes everything we've seen pointless because we know Salem likely had her own plans. Like, it was drilled into us that Cinder wants power and domination but then they just turned it around and basically said "yeah but it's this one!" And this doesn't just apply for Cinder. It ruins Roman too. But a Roman rant could go on forever because RT gave a big 'fuck you' to the fans there...
For Roman, RT stated he was only supposed to be in Yellow trailer and Episode 1. He was never supposed to be a recurring character, which is why he died in Volume 3; he had a stay of execution.
I'm aware that he became a much larger character. And while he was only supposed to be a side character, I'd say that he was the main antagonist for the first two volumes. Besides, I'm not giving up hope about his death. There are just so many factors to weigh in on. He likely lived but now it's really just a matter of RT including him back into the show. He's a very well liked character and RT is all about their character redemption. IN DENIAL AF

For me, the animations feel unique. And although the story might not be the strongest at being told, it slowly gets better and it feels like it grows up with you. For me, each character has a relateable feeling that we might all have had, i.e, Ruby wanting to be a hero like in the stories, Yang being adventurous, Jaune not feeling like he can't fit in. At least with me, there's something with RWBY that I feel like I can relate to, giggle at at times, feel excited for the action, and care for the characters. This is at least, why I like RWBY. I know there are definitely far better things out there, but this one in particular, will stay in my heart.
