This was amazing watching it 14 years ago and it’s still amazing to this day! A little backstory: my mom’s best friend was the head of the ballet school this dancer came from. I’m pretty sure it was for a competition. Unfortunately my mom’s friend passed away last year after a long battle with cancer. It’s really nice coming back to this and seeing a little piece of her work (even though it wasn’t directly her dancing).
I love that she pretty much gave the finger to the classical ballet world. With great technique and grace she was still able to have fun, which is the point!!

ok.... this proves you can do ballet to ANY music.... there are no words to describe the joy this video brings me. I wanna learn ballet just so I can dance to Nightwish now.
I agree completely. It is also absolutely wonderful to see such a talented and lovely girl whose actions show that her personality and dreams are being nurtured so that she can become whaterver she wishes, even a numa ballerina! The confidence and life she brings to the dance is impressive, and she is enjoying herself so much. That girl has a thriving and creative spirit.
ummm... first i must say you're an incredible dancer. your Italian Fouttes were beyond the ability of many of the professionals i've seen. and your dance was hilarious. koodos on the moonwalk and the running man. ridiculous. lol i was just really confused. lol like i'm just not used to seeing that and it took me 4 times watching your video to wrap my mind around it. lol congrats. great job. :)

Honestly - I've watched this 5 times already today...and sent it to my friends. Let people say what they will, but this made me and my friends smile and it shows the diversity of her talent - as well as her "shine" which she has oodles of! You go girl!

i was first mesmorized by pointe by my cross cousin. when i learned wat en pointe is, i immediately wanted to go to ballet. now my dream is to be in pointe. ur dance was awesome and soo adorable!!!

Those of you trashing this are obviously stuck in your old school strictly ballet way of thinking. Which is fine, that's just your style. I'm a trained ballet dancer, I danced for 18 years, 6 of those on pointe and have toured the US and Canada with my dance troupe. This is an excellent take what it means to be a technical dancer. This girl clearly knows what she is doing. Her feet are fantastic and all her movements are clear, sharp, finished, and she is always safe on her toes. Wonderful Job!
AH!! this is brilliant!!! haha so so adorable and creative!! she's very talented as well, i actually enjoy watching her (most dancers i have a hard time taking haha). my compliments to the choreographer.
this was, in my best opinion the best Numa Numa, point ballet, freestyle, break dance, michale jackson performance ive EVER SEEN!:D im surprised she didnt break her feet doing this^^;
This makes ballet more interesting. I ballet,tap, and jazz for two years. I got bored and switched to gymnastics. Now I'm 16 and have a new found interest in ballet:) I might do it again. I want to dance on pointe.
My favorite part was when you walked across the stage on pointe in the crouched position. I've kind of been wanting to something similar to that: chaînés on pointe in grand plie. Great job!
This ois one of my favorite pieces because shes just having fun, and thats what doing something you love ids all about FUN! Im going en pointe this summer and I cant wait to create a piece like this when I get more advanced
