Fly Fishing and Hiking in Akan-Mashu National Park

Akan-Mashu National Park is located in the eastern part of Hokkaido, with good access from Kushiro Airport. In the Akan area, there are 2 mountains which are very popular for hikers. There is a fascinating fishing spot where you can catch big rainbow trout within 5-minutes drive of the accommodations. The Ainu people have lived on this land from ancient, and their customs and culture are kept alive.
