I thought so too, the video especially gives that impression. But when I looked up some comments of the band it was more about a frankenstein creation, created in a labratory. However it just aswell might be about abortion, the parallels are quite impressive.
No it's about cloning something or someone!
Look or hear at this:
"Gezeugt in Hass und ohne Samen"
ColdHellDrive 000 Well "conceived in hurry and without seed" makes the frankenstein theory more plausible. For cloning ovaries and sperm (seed?) are necessary, Adam the frankenstein Monster was created from corpses, therefore new life without seed. Also it is not "Gezeugt in Hass..." But "gezeugt in Hast..." right? because "Hass" means "Hate" but "Hast" is "Hurry" (sort of). Then again I like the abortion theory, not because it is true, but because of the video. Take from it what you want, many rammstein songs are deliberately vague and tell a story, but with much imagery to draw in an captivate the listener so they can make their own associations (atleast that's how they seem to me).
+Gabriel Metz No its about a "mother" who raised a child without love.. (displayed by the parallels in the video to the Kaspar Hauser case) She does not deserve the name Mutter because she never behaved like one.... So the grown up son feels nothing but hate and has a cold heart and wants to kill her an everything that reminds (like the Muttermal).
The sentence "Gezeugt in Hast und ohne Samen" just means that no one ever loved her not even the father and therefore the child is not a product of love but of nothing but indifference of a could hearted "mother".
+Sina Hagen It might refer to the live of the singer Till who was raised by his father (so may started to hate his mother). Till also had to raise his daughter allone (since the mother did not).
Probably the family story of Richard - the guitarist - influenced it also since he has never met his mother....
