Hey Drew, I’ve tried a few of your gear recommendations and have been very satisfied, thanks. Like to see a review on your recommendation for sun glasses specifically polarized. Thanks again.
I did that in an older video from TN 2023. I walked thru exactly what I see with my Costa's especially under a hat and in low light. I don't know if the time stamp will work (it did not work lol) but it's at the 17.50 in this video (I should have visited Tellico Plains sooner - Sunglasses and small stream Gear walk thru! p2) ruclips.net/video/WoRce-8hDc4/видео.htmlfeature=shared
Hey Drew do you ever fish with a Fanny type pack for fly gear? I’ve always worn a vest but am looking for a better system that will hold enough stuff and make it easy to get to without removing it. If so what brand and model would you recommend? Thanks
Good stuff. Got a couple pair of those pants, my go to fishing pants. Some great gift ideas and I’ve got to try that coffee. (Smallmouth blend, my favorite fish)
Thanks for the suggestions. Question on the grip studs. How do they do on the slick rocks in ID? I’ve tried aluminum bars or rock cleats and had little luck. Looking for alternatives to felt. Thanks
I didn't notice any better grip compared to my other studs. I haven't found a good alternative to felt. I'm actually thinking about going back to my korkers and getting a couple felt/studded soles to change out after each day so they'll dry completely after each use when I'm in Idaho. I also heard a rumor they're are coming out with a wet wading boot similar to their axis show.
I'll have to check out some wrangler fleece lined pants. I've been ordering flex hose fleece lined pants from Duluth trading company. I'll wait til the change to spring/summer apparel, and they run about $40. But they last forever, they're very comfortable, and they come in camouflage and other color ways.
FWIW; My experience with studded boots (whether they be screw-in or boots with built-in studs) in freestone streams in the west (MT, WY ID or CO) is you better watch out! These studs on smooth rocks or on those same rocks that have the slightest bit of moss was an utter disaster! Several times I ended up slipping into the water or more often than not flailing around mid-stream trying to regain my balance. It was as if I was walking on ice! They did offer more traction on rough surfaces but not on smooth rocks! I now wear boots with just rubber outsoles instead of felt to help avoid spreading invasives from stream to stream.
Good video. Previously I had thought you and I had little in common as fly fisherman. In this video I noticed too many scissors and then below that there was a familiar package of hooks, then you moved your shoulder and revealed you Peak Rotary vise. I could have been looking at my own fly tying bench. Our differences are regional, our fly tying setup is very similar. Really cool gift in this video.
Good stuff. Just ordered the Costa pullover and the wrangler insulated pants. Thanks for making great fly fishing content.
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.
I’m looking for a travel LED to bring on trips. I’ll look into these. Thanks!
I bought the lights you mentioned in a former video. They are awesome. Using them for ice fishing at night.
Those have been absolutely amazing!
Great gift guide Drew. Thanks for sharing
Thanks

Their commercials are the best. I'll have to check those out.

U ever fished Oregon yet
Don't have the strength to drive past the other places but hope to soon!

Haha, that's funny. I always think I need to clean up my mess before I make a video but just too lazy lol!
