Fantastic. I used to work around Cambridge 12 yrs ago and visit Wisbech and surrounding areas. I sometimes called at the Crown Lodge outside Outwell for a coffee and remember driving over that Bridge which is now called the Tramway. Just incredible to believe that a Railway once went along these roads.
My late father used to work on this line as a Plate Layer from time to time many moons ago ,and we as youngsters managed to get a ride in the Guards van from Elm to Upwell then walk back to Wisbech the good old days.
As always, an incredible piece of work. 3:20 Notice at the top of the screen ‘Emneth’. This was the home of the Rev. W Audry, OBE, writer of the ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ books. ‘Toby the Tram Engine’ was based on the W&UT.

Extremely well presented! I think there were still traces left when we travelled into Norfolk 1970 from Nottinghamshire.

Incredibly captivating. Thank you for creating and sharing!
Thank you. My grandfather always showed me his book on the tramway. I’ve still got it since he passed away. It was my introduction to trains and trams
The W & U T should get an award for being the most completely-erased-from-the-landscape former railway!
