Bayonet is still on cooldown I think, if you kill someone you are not penalised with sprint block, but you can't re-bayonet right away before the cooldown. 90% sure.

Vetterli vitali and Peacekeeper for that close ranges ;) or Obrez

Despite its close sweet spot, not even the vetterli will one shot at most of these ranges, and you wont have time for a followup shot. Peacekeeper is fun if you want to use it as a primary, but as a secondary to finish off kills it will always be bad because of its draw time. Obrez I do enjoy and use frequently but it can be pretty inconsistent

The funny thing is that I like to play scout on Fort.

Having those spotting flares gives your team such a big advantage, letting them know where and when to push. Otherwise they just sit there thinking they'll die going through a choke when really theres just one guy blocking them

What are your thoughts on using the m.95 over something like the ross mk3? I usually default to the ross marksman if I want to run scout on fort, but it looks like the m.95 has a faster fire rate

That's what I love about this game, there are tradeoffs for every weapon. The ross has a sweet spot where it can 1 shot to the body, but its kinda far away so won't be relevant most of the time on fort. The M.95 does better damage close up and cycles faster, but doesnt have a sweet spot. Generally the better a rifle is at close range and the faster it shoots, the better it is in fort. For those reasons I actually like the russian 1895 best here, but its fun to mix it up.

@@Mr.Zilreth Ohh I haven't tried out the 1895 yet! I only picked the game up like 3 weeks ago (and incidentally put more than 70 hours in, but we don't need to talk about that lol), so I still have plenty I need to experiment with. I found that the ross really chewed people up in Operations on fort when we're defending; I would sit right in the back of a chokepoint and sweet spot people at the end of hallways. But yeah, great point for regular run-and-gun scout play. I'll give the 1895 a go
It's great to see new BF1 content! You got a subscriber out of me :)

Thanks ❤ yeah all the snipers are good if you play them to their advantages. The ross infantry is actually my only gun with 100 service stars. Also the 1895 trench specifically is what I use here since it is meant to be close range only, its damage falloff is so bad you cant one shot with headshots past a certain point lol
