Mew is interesting but very match up fishy. The question is how it interacts with discard energy attacks. Aside from charizard and mewtu I see not many potential targets. Aerodactyl looks great. It is better than marowak 3 out of 4 times. Vaporeon is also an interesting addition. It is not as straightforward as major bob with raichu and magneton. Also needs up to 4 spaces in your deck. Blue is also a match up card. Decks that use 160 HP cards will consider this card to improve their mewtu match up. It also helps against opposing dragonites and articunos.
I'm sure it would force you to discard fire/psychic energy if you had any attached. But if you have 3 grass energy or something it won't make you discard anything.
Aerodactyl is one of the few good cards that get better going first.Trapping any pokemon that needs to evolve will be great even if you can't attack. I like that they are trying to give players going first some more tools. Right now it feels like going 2nd is so much more of an advantage
Most likely the other 3 out of 5 EXs could be Gyarados, Volcarona and Serperior. There's no way they have snivy and larvesta in set but no evolutions. The entire evolution line is always found within the set. And besides they have them as cover.
@@j_r28 every EX in the first set also has a non EX evolution at the end of the line. But not every evolution line has an EX in the first set. If I had to guess, the other 3 will be as well
Aerodactyl I think is specifically to beat decks like wheezing, they koga -> put in their other koffing -> evolve + attack, stops stuff like that but yeah seems narrow
