From one nurse to another…Congratulations Sarah on passing the NCLEX! A nursing degree and licensure is a difficult program and task, requiring much hard work and dedication! You should both be proud! Hoping Carlo will be able to get licensed here as well. The nursing community needs awesome RN’s in our ranks.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Best wishes for both of you!
After 43 years of marriage we call fighting “constructive conversation” because each time you do learn more about each other. Of course like you said we are not talking about physical or verbal abuse which can be toxic.
I think the language barrier forces both partners to communicate more often than those who are from the same background -- and to strive to communicate succinctly even though it can be frustrating at times. At least it was for me and my BF and though we're not together anymore, we're the best of friends for life because of that constant communication and honesty.
I agree! My boyfriend and I have been in a long distance relationship for a long time (we were young when we met so we were not financially ready to move to either of our countries) and both the distance and the language barrier have forced us to communicate and to try our best to say what we mean.
You guys are awesome. Its natural to fight. I've been with my wife for 12 years and we still have disagreements. Doesn't mean that you don't love them.
You two are absolutely adorable! Let me tell you, I'm older and came across your channel. I couldn't stop watching and didnt get anything done. You two are very entertaining and the love that you both show to one another is just heartwarming. You actually have me literally laughing out loud a lot. Beautiful couple ❤️
If you’re screaming, yelling, throwing stuff, cops are called THAT’S toxic! Bickering happens especially if you’re around each other all the time! If you’re fighting and being dismissive of the others feelings, there’s a problem! It’s cute you guys are aware there are going to be arguments, that shows you’re in an actual marriage, not a “oh wouldn’t it be cool to be married” marriages! P.S. Wow! My grammar was WAY off this morning! Glad you understood what I was saying 🤣🤣
I've always longed for a relationship like you two have. All my relationships where toxic. I've been cheated on, beat on,and had my life threatened. My decision was to stay single from now on. Life is so much better this way. I wish you both so many happy years together ❤
I have enjoyed the bantering back and forth. The language thing you make work. That's the interesting thing about your channel. Watching you both find your way to make your relationship work. Thanks for letting us come along.
I love how you recognize the imperfect nature of one another and have grace after those imperfections come to the surface. But you also have boundaries with yourselves. I love it when Carlo says out loud that he’s not going to say something about Sarah...he’s just not gonna “go there”. In this way you are perfect for each other. 💕💕💕
Wow! I didn’t know you were in nursing school!! Congrats 🎉 and good luck on your test!! I graduate LPN to RN on May 9 and then the NCLEX in June!! I can’t wait!!! Just got to the end of your video and I see that you passed!! Congrats again!! What a relief and exciting moment that is!! All the best to you on your nursing journey. There will be days that are hard but just remember your “why” and keep pushing forward! It’s the most rewarding job and I wouldn’t switch it for any other career. ❤️
Yay, congratulations on passing your NCLEX exam! Great job 👍! You and Carlo are a wonderful couple and are so inspiring to watch. Thank you for sharing your lives with us! Now, after all of your hard work, go on a nice vacation and have some fun! Love you guys so much!
Everyone fights. It’s a sign of the strong feelings you have for one another. As long as your not trying to hurt each other then it’s perfectly healthy to argue, especially now that you’re together full time.
CONGRADULATIONS SARAH! You need to celebrate in a big way.Go somewhere, buy something how ever you want to celebrate that causes less fighting. You accomplished something people dream about. I commend you on choosing a career that a lot of people are running from since Covid.🎊🎊🎊
I know this is a really old video, but I just wanted to say thank you for bringing up your mental health. I'm kind of a neurodivergent mess, and I was just thinking the other day that no one will ever put up with it. It's nice to know it can happen, and you guys are the cutest couple too. ❤
Fight rules to live by 1. Never, never get physical 2. Never use hurtful words. And know which word/names hurt 3. Give space to process if requested. Often I need to step back, go over what’s been said. Sometimes I find what I thought was not so right. 4. Compromise if possible. But never compromise or ask partner to compromise legitimate standards. 5. Ever go to bed angry.
Really awesome that you maturely reflect about this👍 this is what many don't talk about or show in videos, and it's nice to see this side of you so different from the shorts
Coming from a similar dynamic, I love this. 99% of fights w my husband are bc of language barrier. He is Greek, from Greece (27) and I am Greek American (25). I grew up hearing Greek but didn’t learn extensively. (I just started the Pimsleur method today and I had so much warmth in my heart bc for the first time learning a language made sense. it’s slow but effective and I was so excited to see him after work just to say “hello sir, I understand a little Greek.” Even tho I already knew how to say that, my pronunciation was better. I am excited to hopefully speak as much Greek as he speaks english. ) Regardless, fighting is normal and healthy, of course as long as you lower your pride and see the other person’s perspective so it doesn’t get out of hand/ lead to resentment. My husband looks like a brother of Carlo, so watching you two makes me love my husband more bc the mannerisms or Carlo are v similar to my husband and it enables me to see some humor to our arguments. My husband (Dimitrios) has the same Mediterranean passion and expression, but I usually just get annoyed in the moment. Watching it play out between you two makes me see the romance and protection behind a lot of what he is doing. These men are amazing..you are amazing too Sarah and inspire me to be a loving loving wife. May you two be blessed and happily married for all of your lives. 💖
Communication is key no matter what comes or what culture or one comes from. No one is or ever going to be perfect no need to fight communication. Get mad walk away come back and then talk to each other. Many people are married to others who speak different languages. That does not matter because together you can learn to speak the languages of the other. Just remember to respect each other laugh, cry and grow together not separately. Be honest at all times hold nothing in. Be humble show each other Grace.
Congratulations on passing your NCLEX!! All of your sacrifices and hard work over the last four years have all been worth it! I remember what a great feeling it was to be done with the NCLEX and not have to study for it any longer! Enjoy a break, if you can. Congrats!! 🎉🍾🎊🎈🥂
I love being in couples therapy with you both!! You’re both so honest and practical 😍 And thank you for acknowledging issues that introduces frustration in your relationship. For the language, I’d like to say as a polyglot, you should learn each other’s root language. In this way you both will understand each other on a linguistic level, busy also at an emotional and intellectual way. Learning another language is hard work… but you have each other to lean upon and support. Wishing you both the best!
Congratulations Sarah!!! I knew you would pass. You are so smart and committed to your career. Best of luck in your job hunt. And TY 4 sharing about the no so talked about negatives in relationships. The beauty is that your relationship grows deeper with each trial and tribulation. Best of luck in the future! Love u guys ❤️
My husband is from USA 🇺🇸 and I am from México 🇲🇽 and sometimes the language barrier is a big factor in our fights or disagreements; although sometimes I just get so frustrated that I tell my husband something in Spanish and I finish it with: And I don’t care you didn’t understand that 😤 Lol but then 5 minutes later we are talking calmly and discussing our issues. But yes, definitely trough the years (we’ve been together for 5 years) we’ve learned and understand each other better and communication was a big part of it and still is even when we fight
Hey, congratulazione!!! 🥳 (and even with your jean jacket on inside the house!) Lol! Your Nonna is so happy for you! So sweet! Your patients will be so lucky! All the best! Is Carlo a nurse as well?
I’m from usa and my husband is from India I feel like our fights are due to language barriers. But as long as you are patient and willing to work through it that’s what matters. It’s comforting to know other relationships with two different cultures go through this too.
lmao I love when Carlo is like all serious and says what do you mean...lol too funny even funnier when he gifted you the plush and said nope this is going back, no more cuddling for you haha
Your such a beautiful couple. It is true it is normal to have arguments. I’ve been with my husband for 20 years. We go through our peaks and valleys like anyone else. We celebrate our highs and we work on our lows. It’s not perfect. What is perfect is our love. That is and always will be unconditional. And the more time that passes by it just becomes more and more like a fine wine. It becomes more deeper and I can’t explain it but more meaningful. It’s truly a beautiful thing. Also thank you so much for your channel love the content and how real you both are 💕.
Patience...a little time alone maybe helpful. Every culture communicate the same. Italians maybe be loud or bantor. Accept people as they are...you both are good friends. Smiles!
Everyone disagree at some point or another especially when you around them alot. Just so long as you don't go to bed mad at one another. You guys are such cute couple wishing you the best always 😊😍
I think that you both have different languages is actually good for you. My daughter and son in law are very much the same, even their birthdays are the same. At 55 and being a communication specialist and Italian, please please continue to communicate. And how you (either of you) see 1 thing, the other doesn't want to. Men think very differently! I also have anxiety but as he sees American more he may experience anxiety. Keep talking guys!!! Me husband and did our best talking in the car
Yes, nothing’s perfect in life. And I’m glad you admit that being around somebody 24 seven can be pretty hard on the brain. We all need our space and time alone and as time goes on, you’ll find your space and his space not too much space though because you need to be together and everything has to be run according to the clock And you’ll understand that as time goes on. But as an 80 year old woman, I understand it and someday you will too, but stay together think alike talk alike have you ever views though that’s good love watching you guys every single day you make my day. Good luck God bless
Your relationship is soooo unique and special. Honestly your whole story sounds like it was meant to be. I mean normally getting married only after 2 years and time of covid is like 😱but you two are perfect together and I mean your grandmother knew him as a baby how much of a sign could that be
Congratulations!! I think there are lots of people that don't understand how hard nursing school is and passing the test is a huge deal. My friend did it and she said more than half of the people that started off with her dropped off even before the final test because they failed other parts before they got to the end. That is a huge thing so I am very happy for you!!
You guys…. That was one of the most WHOLESOME videos I’ve seen in such a long time. THANK YOU for normalizing basic arguments in a marriage. I grew up with an American mother and a French step-father, born and raised in France. My bio dad is Italian and Croatian but I didn’t know him growing up, so my only example of a marriage was this French man and my mother, and let me be the first to say, Europeans might be strong willed but they are also loving and kind as the day is long. You will have arguments, but you learn and live through it. Work on the marriage. And yes, communication is key! Love you all!
I think it like Carlo. Guys you are so fun! 😂❤️ I'm interested to see in future Sarah's reactions watching Italian comedy (in particular Maccio Capatonda comedy style) 😂. Credo che Carlo lo conosca bene! 😉💪🏻
I'm so happy you guys are talking things out and understand what to do. I had a stubborn ex who never talked things out after fights when I wanted to.. he never communicated when he was lonely ethier.. he just cheated twice finally I left
Number 1 communication. Number 2 when your feeling are hurt please express to your partner that your feelings got hurt and what hurt your feelings ,also try to look at it from your partners point of view and ask them if you hurt there feelings . Number 3 find a middle ground or a compromise, that is what a relationship is finding compromises and communication.
I’ve had a few Italian friends from southern Italy in my life and Carlo is the nicest Italian guy! Lol he’s a cool cat! And you guys are funny! And you’re friend is niiice! 😘
Their relationship inspires me. My ex just left our family. He was distant and secretive and because he was like that it made me feel like I couldn't talk to him about anything. Anyway, he left me and I'm 17 weeks pregnant and we have a 2 yr old.
You’re right, there are definitely a few couples I follow on here that make out everything’s perfect all the time and they never fight and they’re ‘couple goals’. And it makes me switch off from them sometimes. So I’m glad you made a point of showing it x Ps; your top is so cute Sarah ☺️
Contructive Arguements are better. Making up is the best lol. Being able to communicate to each other is the key. Building a strong relationship comes from patience in learning about each other thru trial and error. I have been with my love going on 15 years. No relationship is naturally perfect.
I enjoy the 2 of you, I’ve been married 16 years. When we were first together, my husband spoke no English, only Spanish, and I had only 2 years of Spanish ed in high school to work with. In those early days we sometimes communicated by drawing pictures. 😂😅 I dunno that I’d ever recommend a situation such as ours. But we have done what has felt like climb out of a deep dark hole all these years, we have just stayed and sometimes we have fought and prayed for our marriage. It has not been conventional compared to the standards Of my parents wishes for me, or of my peers or society, so we also had to kick the bucket of keeping up with the status quo. We have a beautiful daughter, my husband is bilingual and I’m still learning Spanish. That’s a long story, short. You guys are right about the things you said in this video. I wish you a beautiful future.
Generally it means your communicating. That’s good. It’s when you don’t talk/argue/communicate that becomes a big problem…but still, it better not to argue and discuss in a calm way. Practice empathetic listening.
Forza Carlo!!! Un abbraccio dall’Italia… siete una coppia stupenda ❤️ mi fate tanta compagnia e sorridere ogni volta che sono giù di morale THANKS A LOT ❤️
This video was refreshing and fun to watch @CarloAndSarah!! Thank you for sharing it, and a huge congratulations to you Sarah for passing your NCLEX! So happy for you!!!
My ex and I never argued - until the end. It got toxic fast and we made each other sick. Now I argue with my partner and I love our relationship. We actually communicate and work things out. It's beautiful as long as you aren't crossing boundaries and being physically or emotionally abusive.
Sarah, Carlo, this is the best relationship counseling video ever. Forget about scientific research and all the rest. What you are saying is so true!!! Greetings from Luxembourg.
I completely understand this and I think its because I'm in an interracial marriage my first language is English, my husband Spanish and sometimes I think we misunderstand what th3 other person says because of the language barrier, and then we get into argument or disagreements/ not understanding what the other means, but it's normal and communication is the key, i am very grateful that you are sharing this. I love you're channel and vlogs so much. #notificationsarealwayson. Sending you lots of love from brisbane AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺
As someone with severe anxiety, and the most laid back partner in the world, I completely get this. The benefit though is having a partner that by opening up their understanding of mental illness, in turn allows you to grow and heal. It's really a beautiful thing. We've been together 3 years, and as such an anxious person who's avoidant of confrontation and arguments it took me so long to get that fighting was normal, a lot of because of what social media depicts. Thank you so much for sharing :)
Oh please. I am the daughter if immigrants from avellino and my husband’s parents are Danish. Of COURSE we argue. We have also been married 22 years. Fighting, disagreeing not being happy happy 24/7 is normal. Also i am way more anxious than him and he and i have mostly learned how to help each other through some of those days. God bless!
This was great. I'm one of the people who commented on the "Italian football saying I thought it was cruel. I still think it was cruel but it was good to see you both being so open and honest. My husband and I have been together literally 24/7 for 5he past 22(nearly 23) years. When we bicker it usually ends with us laughing . We can both laugh at ourselves. We have had 3 major arguments during our time together which were resolved and never brought up again. Wishing 6ou both at least another 22years of 💘
From one nurse to another…Congratulations Sarah on passing the NCLEX! A nursing degree and licensure is a difficult program and task, requiring much hard work and dedication! You should both be proud! Hoping Carlo will be able to get licensed here as well. The nursing community needs awesome RN’s in our ranks.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Best wishes for both of you!
Congratulations Sarah!! ❤
After 43 years of marriage we call fighting “constructive conversation” because each time you do learn more about each other. Of course like you said we are not talking about physical or verbal abuse which can be toxic.
Beautiful 😊
When I worked for Intel, their culture calls disagreements, even heated ones, "constructive confrontation".
I think the language barrier forces both partners to communicate more often than those who are from the same background -- and to strive to communicate succinctly even though it can be frustrating at times. At least it was for me and my BF and though we're not together anymore, we're the best of friends for life because of that constant communication and honesty.
Completely agree with this
👍❤
@Nikel Jorgensen Each parent should use their native languange with the kid. That's how we are going to do it.

Thanks for letting us come along.
love the transparency between you two. you can tell it’s genuine and pure love.
It’s absolutely normal to disagree in a marriage.I love that you guys are so real. Bless you both.
As long as each fight increases your love and communication. You are both adorbs...

There is someone loving and caring waiting round the corner for you … never stop believing 🙏🥰
Fight rules to live by
1. Never, never get physical
2. Never use hurtful words. And know which word/names hurt
You two inspire me and give me hope I’ll one day find my person ❤️🥰
What you said in the first part of this video should be written in a book... Sarah, congratulations for this achievement :-)
Congratulations Sarah on passing NCLEX! 👏 I love watching you and Carlo's love story!

That's really important.
To calmly talk about things again after a fight and reflect things.
Your such a beautiful couple. It is true it is normal to have arguments. I’ve been with my husband for 20 years. We go through our peaks and valleys like anyone else. I think it like Carlo.

I’ve had a few Italian friends from southern Italy in my life and Carlo is the nicest Italian guy! Lol he’s a cool cat! And you guys are funny! And you’re friend is niiice! 😘
Hello I want a FULL car video. I am a car nerd so I can tell by the interior that it’s an xc40 but it’s always fun to hear others talk about cars😁
Their relationship inspires me.
My ex just left our family. He was distant and secretive and because he was like that it made me feel like I couldn't talk to him about anything.
Anyway, he left me and I'm 17 weeks pregnant and we have a 2 yr old.
Love you guys! You are so genuine and sweet, I am rooting for you both. ❤️ God bless you! 🙌
You’re right, there are definitely a few couples I follow on here that make out everything’s perfect all the time and they never fight and they’re ‘couple goals’. And it makes me switch off from them sometimes. So I’m glad you made a point of showing it x
Ps; your top is so cute Sarah ☺️
Contructive Arguements are better. Making up is the best lol. Being able to communicate to each other is the key. Building a strong relationship comes from patience in learning about each other thru trial and error. I have been with my love going on 15 years. No relationship is naturally perfect.
CONGRATULATIONS 🎈🍾🎊!!!! Been there, done that! RN BSN MSN
This actually sounds beautiful and I can’t believe you drew pictures 😂😂😂😂😂that sounds cute. Overall a beautiful love story in general 🙂
I seriously love you guys!!! You work so well together
Love u guys! congrats on passing your exam!! you're such a beautiful soul Sarah !! you deserve it 💕
Generally it means your communicating. That’s good. It’s when you don’t talk/argue/communicate that becomes a big problem…but still, it better not to argue and discuss in a calm way. Practice empathetic listening.
Love you guys 😍🥰❤your videos make me happy 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Forza Carlo!!! Un abbraccio dall’Italia… siete una coppia stupenda ❤️ mi fate tanta compagnia e sorridere ogni volta che sono giù di morale THANKS A LOT ❤️
This video was refreshing and fun to watch @CarloAndSarah!! Thank you for sharing it, and a huge congratulations to you Sarah for passing your NCLEX! So happy for you!!!
Congratulations on passing! You guys are great. Thanks for sharing.
My ex and I never argued - until the end. It got toxic fast and we made each other sick. Now I argue with my partner and I love our relationship. We actually communicate and work things out. It's beautiful as long as you aren't crossing boundaries and being physically or emotionally abusive.
You guys are Amazing!! Such a cute couple! 👍🤩
Sarah, Carlo, this is the best relationship counseling video ever. Forget about scientific research and all the rest. What you are saying is so true!!! Greetings from Luxembourg.
Fights are essential in any relationship, romantic or not. Not abuse of course, but regular arguments.
Such a great video and good advice for all couples! Well done Sarah on passing your exam!!🍾🥂🥳
noticeable improvements with the Carlo's American speaking...
BRAVO Carlo 😉👍🍷
I completely understand this and I think its because I'm in an interracial marriage my first language is English, my husband Spanish and sometimes I think we misunderstand what th3 other person says because of the language barrier, and then we get into argument or disagreements/ not understanding what the other means, but it's normal and communication is the key, i am very grateful that you are sharing this. I love you're channel and vlogs so much. #notificationsarealwayson. Sending you lots of love from brisbane AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺
I’m so happy for you, SARAH😄❣️❣️👍🏼
CONGRATULATIONS SARA‼️🌹🎂
Tanti auguri Sarah. So happy for you!! Your nonna looks so proud!! Honestly i’m so proud of you too!! Yay!!
amazing vlog!!🙂❤️ i have an italian gym teacher & i remember showing her funny videos of sarah messing with carlos (funny wayy duh.) ❤️❤️!!
“Severe anxiety”. 😂 Grow up.
@@WembyShesty it’s a real disorder, but sure, pop off I guess
Congratulations 🎉 on passing NCLEX. Welcome to the club nurse Sarah!
God bless!
Congratulations Sarah on passing ur exam I know you studied ur butt off for it what a great accomplishment proud for you u will be amazing
Insta fam here! Love you both so much, my husband And I watch your videos together and laugh so much. Thanks for sharing your true selves with us.
I passed my NCLEX IN February, I know how great that feels. What an accomplishment 😍😍😍
As retired pediatric RN..just wanted to congratulate you on passing the NCLEX 🎉🎉
“Stingaling”
🤣🤣🤣
Good luck on your NCLEX!!! I already know you killed it! Welcome to the nursing profession :)
Wishing 6ou both at least another 22years of 💘
Recently found your vlog and I’m just obsessed. You guys are so funny and Carlo makes me want to find an Italian husband.
You guys are awesome and meant to be best wishes always!!! ❤
Having arguments is a natural part of being in a relationship as long as it doesn’t become toxic. Congratulations Sarah on passing the NCLEX!!!
