I do, mostly with my body and belaying off my waist. I just try to hedge against poor snow quality. If I have a lot of boot penetration, it is likely anchors are not going to be awesome.
They did well on the last two trips. They rock climb well but the Trango Tech is still better. These things are super water proof tho. They were sweet this spring in the PNW with all the rain and snow!
