I was thinking of his body language while watching this arraignment. It made me think of what u would say so I've been waiting for this video. Thanks for ur insight!!
@Dr. G Explains How extremely interesting that you pick up on Brian's body language with the only girl who actually had a boyfriend! Everyone in the media seems to have decided that Kaylee was the target, yet from his jaw clenching reaction Xana had and was enjoying what was impossible him to achieve, a normal functioning relationship. Thank you for your analysis and the window you provide us to look at his reactions from a new perspective!
I think the reason people believe Kaylee was the target is because her family has been the most vocal. I actually believe Xana AND Maddie were the targets, one because Kaylee was only visiting for the weekend and had actually moved out, two because that’s what the user “papa Rodger” said, and I do believe that was BK
@Delia Morris wondered why he went into the living room and down the hall to her room? D.M. didn't hear anyone in the kitchen, and she never mentioned Xana in the kitchen. D.M.'s room view is the kitchen, little of the living room and the upstairs.
Yes and most definitely! I also studied every second of his responses to each name read out loud. He definitely shows more reaction to some than others as the Judge reads them. He also shifts his eyes to the side when he heard the family members sniffling and the baby cooing.
From other sources, it seems he likes to be the most intelligent one in the room. Maybe when clenching his jaw and staring at the judge when mispronouncing Xana’s name, he may actually be appalled at the judge’s foibles at “his trial”. Just thinking out loud. Love your videos!! Thank you! ❤
thank you Dc G,very interesting things going off here,he almost looked like he wanted to correct judge when he kept getting name wrong so she may be the trigger for him, great stuff and be well sir.
Dr G!! Thank you again for another informative video!! With so many trials going on .. your body language analysis makes watching the testimony as important as listening to the testimony !! I think my adult children are catching on to my eyes moving as they talk.. rather than listening to what they are telling me!! One is never too old to discover new insights !!
He's far from sluggish. Alert, oriented...they must be watching a different video. I do believe he adapts to whatever situation he is in. The mimicking is something he seems to understand. Also, the jaw clenching during the reading of the names is likely due to the fact the judge throughly mispronounced their names. (Disgraceful, imo.) Well done video as always!!
He did the same thing with his jaw when he first appeared in January. To me it looked like he was grinding his teeth, I thought it was more or less because he is/was frightened.
@@margaretmary1139 Tbh, I hope he's scared. One of the most disconcerting aspects of 'evil' seems to be aloofness: we have seen it far too much in recent cases. It's so important to get a fair trial. It's one of the reasons I don't care if it's televised. An appeal-proof conviction means more than anything.
If he was the killer, then I think the reason he reacts to Xana’s name is that she was the one heard crying. She was the one where the killer said, “It’s okay. I’m going to help you.” My guess is that of the four, he might be feeling more about her because whatever happened during that interaction really got to him.
I don’t think it was because the judge mispronounced the name. His jaw clenching happened immediately as soon as judge read Xana’s name. I think he had reaction cause she stumbled upon him which was not supposed to happen and then put up a fight. Maybe she’s the one that screwed up his plan, which caused him to panic and leave the house too quickly without realizing he was missing the knife sheath. So in a way, maybe he thinks she’s the reason why he is here. JMO
The judge messed up Xana's first and last name. So the first syllable of her first name was pronounced wrong. So an immediate clenching would make sense. Kaylee name was misprouncedat the end syllable and sounded normal all in all so might consciously realise it was a misread. But putting a hard vowel sound for Xana really sounds wrong and is more startling
Doesn't make sense. If she saw him, she immediately fled back to her room. He killed her and Ethan IN her room, at the end of a hallway. That means he chased her/them back there. He did not have to pursue her. Going after her and Ethan was FAR riskier and messier than simply slipping out the kitchen slider and speeding off. He was wearing a mask and dark clothing, so she couldn't have identified him. There was no reason to go after her... unless she was always part of the plan.
I think part of Brian’s reactions were caused by the judge mispronouncing the victim’s names. Brian looked up at the judge and intently looked at him, while the judge was struggling with getting the names right. Almost curious about “what is the problem” with regards to reading their names correctly. That part seemed awkward for most of us listening to that.
I was literally gonna comment the same. Like i felt his reactions to xana were because the judge kept pronouncing it wrong and saying it over and over. I get that he was just annoyed or irritated at the judges pronunciationds and repetition..idk just my opinion.

I’ve been wondering the same thing about the forced smile. He does a lot of jaw clenching in his first court appearance as well. He is essentially reacting as he thinks he should be. This is a performance he has rehearsed through observing and studying humans who have emotions and remorse.
It’s generally common knowledge psychopaths or sociapaths learn how to act within society.. and definitely would rehearse in court how to react their known to be extremely manipulative :)
1. I see the smile as a genuine greeting with the weight of this crime on his mind, whether he is guilty or not. 2. He is genuine in his responses to the questions. Imo. 3. If i was innocent and had to listen to these charges i just don’t know how I would endure these accusations. 4. Imo he was looking at that judge when he was mispronouncing Xana’s name like he couldn’t believe the unprofessionalism in that mistake.
I would love to see his reaction when Maddie’s name is mentioned because a lot of people think that she was his target. Thank you for sharing. God bless the little angels that lost their lives.❤❤❤❤

Pretty sure it’s arguable that the reason he started having more of a reaction after Kaylee’s name was read, and very much so when Xana’s was, is because that was exactly the point when the judge started struggling A LOT with the names (which very interestingly keeps happening - people seem to really struggle saying their names, often). We’re still a long way from trial but I’m confident the evidence will show that Maddie is the one he was after. Great video!
The roommate heard him say to someone who was crying, "I'm going to help you" after he had come back downstairs from killing MM and KG. Maybe he had the most interaction with Xana verbally and that's why he tensed up during the mention of her name?
Firstly, RIP to the beautiful humans, and prayers go out to their loved ones. I think he came across the girls at the restaurant they worked at or close by the restaurant- For example, seeing them parking their cars, and serving customers outside with food or drinks. As for the video, He seemed to breathe a little differently when Maddie's name was read, with no major face ticks. And he got a huge reaction when Xana's name was read, and I don't think the reason was that the judge read her name wrong. After all, the Judge read Kaylee's name wrong and B.K. did not have a reaction nor facial ticks or facial muscles moving, etc.. When I look at all of the victims, my eyes go to Xana, and how happy she looks in pictures and videos with bf and friends. Xana seems very sweet and passive when she interacted with the police call to her house. Therefore, I can see Kohberger being drawn to her. Kaylee seems assured of herself and assertive. Maddie was not as polished when she was joking in videos and talking to the dog Murphy- Go back and take a look at the video.
he had a similar reaction to when they verbalized xana's name in his first appearance. the jaw clench. it's interesting because it seems she's the one that fought back. it was probably the most intense.
He's got a mint or something in his mouth. Watching it live as he walks into court shows it and then around 6:12 or something of this video you can see that he's moving it around in his mouth. The " jaw clenching" his due to the extra saliva it's producing. These body language experts are making me lose faith in experts if they can't recognize the difference between sucking on a mint and body language.
Also, he has a t.v. right outside his cell..and he gets to watch alot of coverage of his own trial per the ppl that work at the jail. He's obsessed with watching things covering his story.
He’s so irritated that the judge is mispronouncing the names. He is thinking the judge is incompetent that’s why he’s so annoyed and jaw clenching. Her name is not Zana…it’s Xana it’s really not that difficult. It honestly annoys me so badly that the judge did that and no one was able to correct him.
I agree - I believe he thinks the judge is an idiot who lets his emotions get the best of him. It doesn’t look good when you pronounce half the names wrong. Xana can be tricky, I’ve never heard that name before, but Kaylee is very obviously NOT Kayla
@@gitchygitchyyayayes my jaw was clenching like Brian's just listening to his ridiculous attempts to say a simple name. It wasn't the judges emotions it was his incompetence.
Thank You so much for the analysis Dr. G. I found it quite interesting. While I am waiting for both sides to rest their case at the end of the trial before deciding on his guilt or innocence and also have concerns with the investigation, I do find it curious that there seems to be more of an animated reaction when Xana's name is spoken than the others because one week before the murders Xana's dad put new locks on her bedroom door. Could be a coincidence, maybe when there were parties and she wasn't at home ppl were going into her room or maybe even messed up a previous lock trying to access the room therefore they needed replaced. I still can't help but wonder tho if she may have been receiving threats from someone and it had her uneasy so her dad put new locks on her door and maybe that's also why Ethan was sleeping over. To protect her and make her feel safe. Bless his heart, he died trying. I can't help but feel there's some significance between the locks and Ethan sleeping over. I'm just not sure if BK fits into it at all. We shall see. Thank You again! ❤
also wondering if her dad replaced her door lock because the back sliding door lock was not working supposedly. Really sad to to think about this. Trying to protect his daughter best he could. I think it was one on of the girls social media, a video where she points out a broken lock., can't remember the details on that one.
He may have practiced the event out in his head, to plan his intended reaction to the judge reading the charges and penalties, knowing everything he does is dissected, and it may have made him uncomfortable when the judge went off script trying to correctly pronounce Xana's name, resulting in BK having more difficulty suppressing high anxiety physical reactions like clenched jaw, trembling lip, etc.
Except the jaw clenching happened immediately that the judge started to pronounce her name, as the creator has stated in a reply to this assertion by another commenter.
I’m just gonna say what’s on my mind. I believe he carried himself very well in court. He seems very intelligent. I’ve never seen any defendant carry themselves that well as of recent trials.
Hi Dr. G, I enjoy your perspective on body language. I’m a bit perplexed with Bryan as he does seem to have feelings. I’m also assuming the authorities have solid evidence against him. Thank you for doing these analyses.
FIRST: His initial "smile" to his attorney... ENDED IN A SPLIT SECOND... this is not.. normal. It shows a lack of being a TRUE SMILE... and is meant to show he is doing the right thing .. but his lightning speed loss of it... shows that it was meant to make a connection with his attorney to "bond" with her... a purposeful act to ONLY ESTABLISH THIS.
.. AND.. shows his MANIPULATIVE BEHAVIOR... People who are sincerely smiling.. do NOT go back to an un-smile... with LIGHTENING SPEED such as we see he did. CRAZY MOVE, this.
SECOND:.. he visibly.. and pretty much.. only.... clenches his jaw... when.. each time... he HEARS THE PENALTY . The murders... are still within his comfort zone ( yes, a sick mind who did this for PLEASURE)... HOWEVER........the PUNISHMENT.. is NOT ... This is clearly seen... in the evidence and consistency... of his jaw clenching...
How can you professionally analyzed without a baseline? I’m on the spectrum and I make weird faces all the time, and I’ve been criticized for it all my life.
I'm not on the spectrum, but I agree and can relate. There needs to be a baseline and even then, "body language" is not an exact science. Tell random people he's the lawyer and the lady (his lawyer) is the defendant and people will be like "yeah, look at how tense she is. She has these little waves in the back of her hair meaning she hasn't combed her hair bc she's stressed she did it. Look at how she's sitting and looking at the judge. She totally did it."
Same, I have a very expressive face, especially considering the fact that I’m masking about 90% of the time when I’m around people I’m not close with 😅
Finally a comment I can agree with. And this whole jaw clenching thing... He's got a mint or something in his mouth. Watching it live as he walks into court shows it and then around 6:12 or something of this video you can see that he's moving it around in his mouth. The " jaw clenching" his due to the extra saliva it's producing. You are a breath of fresh rational unbiased air It’s interesting that you have marked his reaction to Xana’s details more as many have queried what the father of Kaylee is giving up by saying “he didn’t have to go upstairs”. Hinting that they weren’t necessary to the perpetrator’s plan and a target was either Xana or Ethan
Thanks so much Doc G I’ve been waiting for this 🇦🇺. I have no doubt his jaw reaction is to the crime. But can it also be (considering his book smarts and anal type personality) Like all of us getting irritated by the names being mispronounced too? Just a question. Cause even I was getting cranky with the judge by then thinking Jesus man get it together lol
That's totally possible. The only reason I think it is most likely related to the person is that he didn't seem to react when he mispronounced Kaylee's name and he immediately clenched at Xana's name. But, it may be that he kept doing it due to the way the judge was speaking.
Xana would be the most personal attack. Fully awake and 100% engaged in fighting for her life. Exceptional girl from the videos., naturally very pretty, funny, graduating from HS with honors, wanting to help people, working, in love, overcoming a challenging upbringing. I can’t even.
I think the majority of people presumes that he is guilty of these crimes based the information we have heard so far, but there is a fairly vocal group that is convinced that he is innocent.

O-kay. Thank you! I thought I was just seeing things because no one has mentioned it. When the judge first mentions Kaylee, I saw Koberger nod twice.
Thank You! DR. G 💯
Xana was actually NOT sleeping when he killed her. He spoke to her, saying,'I'm here to help you', according to the roommate who survived and was unharmed.
Your demeanor is as welcome as your expertise, Doc. We appreciate that you shoot straight, but aren't over the top (Nancy Grace, Banfield, et al).

As soon as I seen him come into th courtroom, I could not wait to see what you had to say!

There is something very off about him. Like he can’t even hide it.
Your videos are fantastic! I'm also a psychologist...so I appreciate the way you break these down by pointing out variations but not making assumptions about the meaning.

Thanks for ALL your updates! This is going to be a crazy trial.

Yesssss!!!! Was waiting for you to do this video!! Thank you!!!
Good video! You wouldn’t think there is enough body language shown to analyze. But there is. Thank you!
Maddie had a boyfriend
He reacts because when he attacked Xana she was sobbing with pain and fear and she was not necessarily a target when he started.
@Delia Morris wondered why he went into the living room and down the hall to her room? D.M. didn't hear anyone in the kitchen, and she never mentioned Xana in the kitchen. D.M.'s room view is the kitchen, little of the living room and the upstairs.
Maddie had a boyfriend. Didn’t you know that? She had a bf of over a year.
I wish your videos were longer! I love these!
Dr G! You always deliver and are very informative and precise ! :) never stop the videos! 😎
I need more than 7 minutes!!! Love it. ty
Yes and most definitely! I also studied every second of his responses to each name read out loud. He definitely shows more reaction to some than others as the Judge reads them. He also shifts his eyes to the side when he heard the family members sniffling and the baby cooing.
Thank you Dr G. Love your videos!!
Thanks 😁
Really appreciate this analysis thank you

Love your insight and presentation; the way you break it down is always interesting to watch.

So interesting I will be tuning in!
Your videos are so educational and different than anybody else’s videos on this case. 🙏🏼
Thank you Dr. G! This was so educational and totally fascinating! ❤❤
From other sources, it seems he likes to be the most intelligent one in the room. Maybe when clenching his jaw and staring at the judge when mispronouncing Xana’s name, he may actually be appalled at the judge’s foibles at “his trial”.
Just thinking out loud. Love your videos!! Thank you! ❤
Except, that he started his jaw clenching just as the judge started to pronounce her name BEFORE his mistakes.
I was thinking the same thing. It was all he could do to hold back and not pronounce it correctly for him!
Excellent analysis of baseline behaviors, which I never understood before. Thank you!
thank you Dc G,very interesting things going off here,he almost looked like he wanted to correct judge when he kept getting name wrong so she may be the trigger for him, great stuff and be well sir.
I am glad I found this channel. Top notch analysis right here.

Dr G!! Thank you again for another informative video!! With so many trials going on .. your body language analysis makes watching the testimony as important as listening to the testimony !! I love this video! It's going to be very helpful information coming into his trial. Thanks again Dr G!
Jeffrey Dahmer did the same thing, he was chewing the whole time during trial.

Thanks for the great content! Learned about you from RA and now I’m a loyal follower.
If he was the killer, then I think the reason he reacts to Xana’s name is that she was the one heard crying. She was the one where the killer said, “It’s okay. I’m going to help you.” My guess is that of the four, he might be feeling more about her because whatever happened during that interaction really got to him.
If some one said I'm going to help you and was dressed in dark clothes I would think it was a officer not colburger
Ty for QUICKLY getting to the point.
JMO
knife sheath was beside MM, too late for realization
Thanks Dr G. You're a legend legend!
The word police was not there.😡 This is about four people getting murdered. Do you get that at all ?

Great video once again 👏🏻
the body language analysis is so interesting here, thanks for the information. xana was reported to be the last one killed and the only one awake at the time and with defensive wounds, so i wonder if that could be the reason for his reactions during her name.
I have thought that too
I think her boyfriend was awake too. I think they found him in between the door
Love your videos, very informative and interesting. Thank you.
Everyone rewatch when the judge mentions Kaylee. At the very end he slightly shakes his head “yes”. I rewatched it three times and it’s definitely happening
Yes I did see that but the rest of this was questionable.
Dr G, I love your analysis
Hi Dr G
on Recovery Addict today they interviewed Solomon Anderson, Zachariah Anderson's brother. Wondering if you will do an analysis of that interview, and your overall thoughts on the evidence that was presented at trial. Thanks for your hard work, I love your content.
I haven't had a chance to watch the whole thing yet, but I plan to watch the rest tonight! When I watched it, I didn't have a problem with the evidence presented but I plan to go back and review a number of things. Thanks!
I love listening to your perspective and analysis of these interesting people that walk among us. I had a pastor say one time that if you learn history and psychology, you will do well in life. Thank you Dr. G I love your channel! Sending you, your family, and the puppies Merry Christmas wishes!
I’ve been wondering the same thing about the forced smile. He does a lot of jaw clenching in his first court appearance as well. He is essentially reacting as he thinks he should be. This is a performance he has rehearsed through observing and studying humans who have emotions and remorse.
How do you know all of this?
It’s generally common knowledge psychopaths or sociapaths learn how to act within society.. and definitely would rehearse in court how to react their known to be extremely manipulative :)
Very good observations. Interesting stuff!
So many questions: Are you able to note his reactions the first time you see the video? If you were there in the room with him, asking him questions, would you be able to "read" his reactions and fashion your questions accordingly? How do you use these analysis "tools" if you will, in your day to day work?
Thank you for the great insights. We appreciation you, Dr. G
I watch closely for these behaviors when I'm doing a forensic interview. It doesn't impact my conclusions but shows me what I should ask more about. When watching trials, I catch most of it as it is happening.

Hi Dr. G I believe you have a protege over at Recovery Addict's. Some people were saying you may not be able to get a read on him because they just showed his profile. Someone, wish I could remember their name, was talking about the jaw clenching. Great analysis. Thank you!

Ps subscribed to Recovery Addict today after your suggestion and looking forward to hearing their updates. All the best from London UK😊
Thank you so much! 😀
Also bc the judge was reading the charges "killed" and if I was innocent and a judge is saying all these things I supposedly did I'd be pissed too.
Good video. Interesting. Thanks!
The roommate heard him say to someone who was crying, "I'm going to help you" after he had come back downstairs from killing MM and KG. Maybe he had the most interaction with Xana verbally and that's why he tensed up during the mention of her name?
Informitive, short and on point m💯🌹
Very interesting analysis of Koberger. Keep up the good work. I like when you do videos on him in this case. Thank you and God Bless you! 😊✝️
he had a similar reaction to when they verbalized xana's name in his first appearance. the jaw clench. it's interesting because it seems she's the one that fought back. it was probably the most intense.
Sooooo glad u did this! I'm tired of ppl on tik tok trying to analyze it 😅
Also, he has a t.v. right outside his cell..and he gets to watch alot of coverage of his own trial per the ppl that work at the jail.
Thank you, this is the first time I have seen your RUclips channel I liked and subscribed.
Thank you Dr. G! I completely agree with all you covered.
Great video again!
N D from CT.
I heard somewhere that at least one inmate reported that Brian can't get enough of the media coverage. He's allowed to watch the news, evidently.
I’m just gonna say what’s on my mind. I believe he carried himself very well in court. He seems very intelligent. I’ve never seen any defendant carry themselves that well as of recent trials.
Allegedly Xana had the most defensive wounds and maybe her fighting back, when he was trying to leave, is why he showed more movement in his face.
Your my favorite I came across you channel a few weeks ago. ❤
Thank you so much!!
Hi Dr. G, I enjoy your perspective on body language. I’m a bit perplexed with Bryan as he does seem to have feelings. I’m also assuming the authorities have solid evidence against him. Thank you for doing these analyses.
I'm sure he has some feelings, but he may be lacking in certain feelings or empathy. As we find out more, we will get a clearer picture of him.
@@JCeeDarkStarme too. My son is like this guy and he’s diagnosed with Asperger’s.
Love your interpretation. Very interesting
Hi Dr.G missed your live show I love you ❤
How can you professionally analyzed without a baseline? I’m on the spectrum and I make weird faces all the time, and I’ve been criticized for it all my life.
I'm not on the spectrum, but I agree and can relate.
There needs to be a baseline and even then, "body language" is not an exact science.
Tell random people he's the lawyer and the lady (his lawyer) is the defendant and people will be like "yeah, look at how tense she is. She has these little waves in the back of her hair meaning she hasn't combed her hair bc she's stressed she did it. Look at how she's sitting and looking at the judge. She totally did it."
He's not. He's just giving his opinion about what he observes. He's not making any claims, just offering insight.
I know isn’t that the truth! I realized a lot about my facial reactions when we had to wear masks all the time. I realized that I made a lot of really weird faces with my mouth that was being covered up. I’m autistic and I react with body language
. I really lost a lot of faith in this content creator. People are really pulling stuff out of their Hoo Ha.
People should realize that BK is being held in protective custody. That is potentially because he is a material witness. People need to look up the law and get their facts straight. Everybody likes to criticize me about the potential of BK suing all the content creators of the news outlets who are defending him before a trial. But I can’t wait to see what actually happens! In my experience, I think there’s a sting operation going on and you’ll see more arrests, and more evidence supporting the defense. I haven’t heard of any evidence against BK that makes any sense whatsoever!
I also think that Brent K was suicided because he had a lot to do with the situation. I guess deadman can’t tell lies can they…
I’m watching for the second time. I love your analysis videos. You are a breath of fresh rational unbiased air
It’s interesting that you have marked his reaction to Xana’s details more as many have queried what the father of Kaylee is giving up by saying “he didn’t have to go upstairs”.
Another fascinating video.
Xana fought back and ruined his plans. That's my bet.
Xana would be the most personal attack. Fully awake and 100% engaged in fighting for her life. Exceptional girl from the videos., naturally very pretty, funny, graduating from HS with honors, wanting to help people, working, in love, overcoming a challenging upbringing. I can’t even.
Allegedly ----- XANA PUT UP A FIGHT. She had a lot of deep defensive wounds is what I've heard.
Really good analysis!
What do you mean "a lot" of people think he's innocent. That sounds like hyperbole. The truth is a lot of people think he's guilty. I certainly do!
I think the majority of people presumes that he is guilty of these crimes based the information we have heard so far, but there is a fairly vocal group that is convinced that he is innocent.
@@drgexplains IMO those people are nuts. People who see innocence in this guy are seeing a mirage and are bonkers. Just like the women who are sending him love letters. These are not healthy minded people. Delusional.
