I'm fed up hearing that the window is open till the end of August. We should have set our own target time, i.e., pre-season tour. It is unacceptable that no outfield players, the need which had been months ago and particularly Bernardo

Here's my theory of the Matt O'Riley/Hatate situation, but it also applies to the broader Celtic strategy and player trading model. Their worth (on the European front) is in the first half of the season. As much as I hate to admit it, there is not much of a chance of Celtic progressing deep into the knock out stages of the CL in any given year. But these players do have potential value to CL clubs in the January window. This was obvious - See the Athletico Madrid bid for MoR. However, Celtic were in a dogfight in their domestic league last year. It was uncertain that we would win the league and get to the CL (and the prizemoney) until the end of the season, so CFC's Board made the determination that MoR was worth more to the club than the value of any bid received in the January window. Smart. This hesitancy is now paying dividends (CL money + increased asses valuation of MoR). If, however, we are dominant in the domestic league by the end of the January 2025 transfer window I'd expect at least one of them to go if strong bids come in for either of them with the Board having to gamble over whether we can still sustain league dominance if we sold both players. The key insight here will come from watching the "second string" midfield (Odin H; Bernardo, Iwata and Kwon). If they get increasing minutes in domestic leagues, this will be to assess whether they will be good enough for the Jan-May run-in. Presuming Maeda, Kuhn, Palma, and Forrest stay relatively fit, I don't think it makes any sense for Yuki, Kwon, MJ, and Yang to stay. But it does make sense to loan them out to Scottish sides to cause havoc among our league opponents, ensuring domestic dominance. This strategy puts our strongest side out through European matches - increasing their asset value again. And puts us in a strong position to win the league again - and allows us to look for gems in the January window to strengthen the squad and plug injury holes for the end-of-season run in.

We as a club must take steps to compete in Europe , or we will become insignificant in the eyes of everyone outside of Scottish football . We need to start operating like a premium club and speculate to accumulate .🇮🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿☘️💚

I think that MOR will want to play with the captain of his National team. Hasn’t been mentioned apart from when Kasper gave Matt a bollocking about not getting back in Chelsea game😂

we have no recruitment team, no targets or plans, it will be a case of waiting until the last week to see what Lawwells agent contacts offer him for around 3-4m, unwanted players being touted around, its pathetic but this is what the fans vote for every year when they buy tickets and merch, so were all stuck with it

Sick and tired of lazy Celtic transfer business. Over E100 mill sitting in the bank - what good is it? We might as well be the same as the mob across the city. Imagine if they had our money? They would be going for 20 in-a-row + a European trophy.

Any Celtic fan who thinks Peter Lawell wouldn’t sell O’Riley and Hatate in the same window are very much mistaken. PLC profit is key for him he dsnt care what fans say
