I have enjoyed watching every one of their episodes. They have truly been an inspiration for ideas and when it comes to renovations, I thank them and HGTV for sharing their ideas with the world.

I love their style. A beautiful family. I wish I could implement this aesthetic in my home, but I live in a small L-shaped home which is really more like one giant hallway. :(

In Germany folge ich auf SIXX Fixer Upper und muss zugeben, dass Joanna & Chip haben fantastische Idee Haus Umbau & Einrichtung. Einzige was mir nicht gefällt ist, der Abrisstag, hier zeigt sich die amerikanische Einstellung zu Ressourcen Vernichtung, Wegwerf-Gesellschaft. In Germany hätte man vor Abrisstag noch eine Wohnung Auflösung- Aktion gemacht, wo andere Leute können noch Gegenstände kaufen, die noch gut sind.
I remember watching this episode absolutely amazing transformation of this house... both a lovely couple...very inspiring as I enjoy watching and lije to get ideas for homes too... God bless you both... 🙏

I’m from Belgium and recently discovered this channel and this beautiful couple. I’ve been binchwatching them ever since. I love what they do! I’m just wandering why the bathrooms are never shown...in Europe kitchen and bathroom are considered as the most expensive and amazing rooms of the house 😊
yes and we have hallways which separate the living quarters and ppl leave shoes and clothes in :)
I read somewhere that they reveal what the owners saw as pain points. I've seen bathrooms that they have renovated. Beautiful bathrooms btw 💐❤️
@@monis9198 people are going for the open plan concept these days. I am not a fan of a kitchen seeing into the lounge and most old homes in my country also have hallways and enclosed kitchens. I've noticed though that new developments are open plan. I always think 20 years from now designers will say "why were they building like this🤭"?
I'm no designer, but it was validating that Jo took out the arched doorways because my first thought was that they were really low on the sides.

I remember this episode. Jo seemed disappointed that they selected this home to purchase. The Gaines did the best they could; it is a cute home but the other options were so much better.

I like the range hood and pantry door and the large island. I've never been a fan of the sink in the island but I know a lot of people like that. I would rather have it under a window.

How odd to have the dinningroom farthest from the kitchen, than the living room, while the truth is we serve food from kitchen to dinning area, not to living room. The design, however, is amazing!

I love this show and I am saying this for the first time: I don’t like it.
You are sitting on the couch and looking ... at the massive kitchen island ... instead at the fireplace or outside. And the space for the living room is far too small. I would also swap the dining room and living room
and that bench next to the fireplace makes no sense ... sorry. I don‘t like it.

I'm not a fan of the open plan style but this was a job well done. I've seen very bad open plan concepts on this show and other design shows. I also find it weird that people want to be seen while they are cooking or baking ☹️

Would like to ask if i could get Chip & Joanna contact information, would like to renovate our house with them.
The decoration and furnishings are nice. However, as a qualified Interior Designer, I don't see the best use of space! I would have put the kitchen where the diner is and had the dining area in with the living room. Where there is ample room for it, kitchens should never be in living areas in my opinion...cooking smells in the soft furnishings is not nice!

This is a weird house. You walk in, and the first room you come to is the dining room? Not only that, but you have to go through the living room to move between the kitchen and the dining room. I would hate living in that house, but if it makes the couple happy, more power to them, I guess. 😕
The house was backwards to me....do you carry everything through the livingroom to get to the dining room? I must be old....the work was beautifully done...although i wasn’t a fan of that circle thing...wrong type of house...
