NEW ORLEANS (Fully Closed Captioned)

After attracting the affections of society girl Miralee Smith, casino owner Nick Duquesne is unfairly run out of town by indignant New Orleans elites, furious after learning of Miralee's clandestine visits to his establishment. Nick relocates to Chicago, taking with him the founders of the new ragtime blues movement, Louie "Satchmo" Armstrong and his band. After a few setbacks, Nick catches a break when a group of youngsters hears Satchmo's band practicing and come to watch. Nick enjoys great success shortly after converting his new gambling hall into a music performance venue where Satchmo and his band dominate the Chicago music scene. Featuring Louie "Satchmo" Armstrong, Billie Holiday, and Woody Herman.
