16:11 When I first watched this movie, I thought that Dana Delany was about 25 or 26 years old. But later I found out she was nearly 40 in this movie . WOW ! She looked soooo young and pretty ! ❤ !!!!
It is a children's movie and you can tell. I love its photography and its aerial views but God how cheesy it turned out. Anna Paquin back then, with her freshly won Oscar was the new kid in Hollywood. She could have been used in a brilliant drama film about loss, the wound left by a bitter divorce and the long path towards reconciliation with her father, while the bird migration experiment could have been left as a way towards healing, but certainly a drama movie with a well written script. Even Anna Paquin, years later, was not so fond of the childish tone of it.
Tbh as a kid watching this film growing up, that’s exactly the message it portrayed and I even as a kid understand and felt. This whole movie IS about healing, but I love that it dosnt linger on the pain for too long so the rest of the movie can sooth the ache of grief and the emptiness of broken family.
