First of all, thank you so much for the super video. Your time and effort is greatly appreciated. I just purchased this exact pedal; which works great. I'm (this is my 1st electronic tuner) somewhat confused about one thing. I have 8 pedals on my board and a wah with a 12 outlet power supply and all higher end connecting cables. When I turn "ON" the tuner it works great, but until I turn it back "OFF" no sound (from my guitar) comes out of the Amp. Is this the way it's supposed to be, or should I be able to tune (and play through the Amp) with the pedal turned "ON" all the time. I believe, at this point, that all my pedals are in the correct order with the tuner 1st. Any advice you can give me would be very much appreciated, Again, your video was extremely good.
Hey mate ... that is how electronic tuners usually work. But in the case of the Poly 3 you can choose an 'always on' mode which enables you to keep the tuner on always and still hear your guitar. It is a little DIP switch inside the pedal. You need to take the back off by turning the big screw underneath until the back come off. In there you will find 2 DIP switches. With both switches set to left you are in True Bypass Mode (when you turn the tuner on your sound is muted). With the top switch set to the right and the bottom switch set to the left you have a Buffered Bypass mode (high quality buffer is active all of the time, tuner pedal on, no guitar sound, pedal off .. sound is back. Lastly you have what you are looking for. With both switches set to the right you have Buffered Bypass Display always on. So even when the pedal is off the buffer is active and the display is always on ... when the tuner pedal is turned on the the buffer is still active but the sound is muted. Hope that helped.
You can choose if you want to kill the sound when you tune up or hear the sound. There are some settings you can choose via dip switches. Have a look at the manual. Thanks for watching.

I don't know and couldn't find the answer so I'll be returning the pedal and try a Paterson Strobe tuner. Addicted to Gear did a great review and provided much more information than the manufacturer so shame on TC Electronic.
I'm a basement guitarist with no need for fancy, expensive gear. Recently, I broke a clip on tuner so I decided to go for slightly more serious hardware. An online dealer had these on sale, so the choice was easy. I don't believe the clip ons I'd owned were very accurate of easy to use. They were merely cheap and handy. The Polytune is an entirely different story. all my electric guitars are easy and quick to get into tune (plus I'm convinced they sound better now). I don't know if the buffer is a bonus in my situation but it certainly seems to do no harm. I now own a TC Electronic Zeus Drive and Polytune and am thoroughly satisfied with both products. If I find myself in need of more toys, products from TC will certainly be under consideration.
It's better than any Boss or Ibanez buffers. And you can choose true bypass on this tuner if you don't want to use the Input buffer, or if you don't have too many pedals. If you have more than say 3 pedals, I suggest using the inbuilt bonafide buffer and also think getting a dedicated line driving buffer for the end of your pedal chain as well.

@@2DaNub Did you really have to be so obnoxious? BiggBoss has a legitimate gripe. The tuner comes with 5.5" x 4.5" Quick Start Guide card that diagrams the pedal. That's it. There are no instructions and TC Electronic's website has no instructions for download. Huh? Can the pedal do open G? I don't know and couldn't find the answer so I'll be returning the pedal and try a Paterson Strobe tuner. Addicted to Gear did a great review and provided much more information than the manufacturer so shame on TC Electronic.
By default, when I turn of the tuner will the buffer still work?
yes
Does it work with a wireless system like the Phenyx Pro ?
I can’t say. I haven’t tried it.
Love the pedal and the buffer, but its a shame they made it 30% dimmer ? Don't know Why ? No more Retna Scorching Display !
Michael Caz just buy a tinted phone screen cover. Cuts down on the brightness

How to turn it on and off??? My footswitch does not turn it on and off.
You need to select the proper jumper setting on the inside of the unit.
How do you change reference to 432 hz?
Use the buttons on the back of the unit to do this.
If I find myself in need of more toys, products from TC will certainly be under consideration.
i have crybaby mini. and im planning to buy polytune 3. my question is wah to polytune or polytune to wah?
Polytune to Wah
but the polytune 3 has buffer. is it fine?
If using buffer then put it after the wah
Is the buffer truly good?
It's better than any Boss or Ibanez buffers. And you can choose true bypass on this tuner if you don't want to use the Input buffer, or if you don't have too many pedals. If you have more than say 3 pedals, I suggest using the inbuilt bonafide buffer and also think getting a dedicated line driving buffer for the end of your pedal chain as well.
Excellent Vid! TY! Have this for the front end (after the wah) and the TC Bona-Fide for the output (after the last pedal).
