The word meaningless here comes from the Hebrew word “hevel” meaning vapor. This basically means a fleeting vapor is how many things of this world act such as temporary pleasure and self indulgence
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NIV [9] But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. [10] That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

This is the answer to the question. What is our purpose here, what is the meaning of life. Why work very very hard , buy stuff we dont need. Whats the point for all of it , etc? The answer lies to ur perspective . This man answer says life is meaningless . We just learn to be content . Not seeking earthly treasure. It is easier said than done esp we're living in a materialistic generation.

Time is my best friend and knowing that gives me pleasure. 8 am the real time traveler who travels back and forth at will. Nothing made in the dark will bear fruit.
Though life itself is short and meaningless, like a fleeting vapor fading out of existence, there is purpose and hope found in Jesus Christ who has a better future for us than anything we could ever hope for in this short time we are passing through this life. John 12:25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life James 4:14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Philippians 1:21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 2 Corinthians 4:17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison. Don’t fear death brother, there is much more than this life to gain in Christ.
I will my dear brother. Matthew 11:28-30 “‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.’” Matthew 22:37-40 “Jesus replied: ‘ “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbour as yourself.” All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.’”

@@eboyeman8457 Ecclesiastes is only 12 chapters brother. I’ve been putting together playlists though for different chapters and hope to eventually have the entire Bible in order.
The died that already dead are happier than the living who are still alive. But better than both is the one who ha never been born, who has not seen the evil that is done under the sun and I saw that all toil and achievement spring from on person's envy of another. This too is meaningless
It’s hard to find anyone upright in this wicked generation, both woman and many men as well have become full of vanity and selfishness, caring more for their outward adornments than the inner. Beautiful on the exterior, dressed and preened to perfection but with a heart that is rotten and corrupt to the core like a whitewashed tomb, yet I have found a beautiful wife with a wonderful spirit who loves God, so I know that you can too. Don’t seek women but seek God and He will do what is good for you my brother. You don’t need a woman who loves you, you need a woman who loves God first and through that great love also loves you with a deeper love than the sad definition this generation gives to love and everything will fall into its rightful place as God wills, as long as you do the same. Sorry if this gets jumbled, trying to paste these verses on a phone. 1 Peter 3:3-7 3Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair or gold jewelry or fine clothes, 4but from the inner disposition of your heart, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in God’s sight. 5For this is how the holy women of the past adorned themselves. They put their hope in God and were submissive to their husbands, 6just as Sarah obeyed Abraham and called him lord. And you are her children if you do what is right and refuse to give way to fear. 7Husbands, in the same way, treat your wives with consideration as a delicate vessel, and with honor as fellow heirs of the gracious gift of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered. Proverbs 31 1The sayings of King Lemuel-an inspired utterance his mother taught him. 2 Listen, my son! Listen, son of my womb Listen, my son, the answer to my prayers! 3 Do not spend your strength[a] on women, your vigor on those who ruin kings. 4 It is not for kings, Lemuel- it is not for kings to drink wine, not for rulers to crave beer, 5 lest they drink and forget what has been decreed, and deprive all the oppressed of their rights. 6 Let beer be for those who are perishing, wine for those who are in anguish! 7 Let them drink and forget their poverty and remember their misery no more. 8 Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. 9 Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. 10 [b]A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. 11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships bringing her food from afar. 15 She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. 16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. 18 She sees that her trading is profitable and her lamp does not go out at night. 19 In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. 20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. 21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. 22 She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. 23 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. 24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. 25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. 26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. 27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 29 “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” 30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. 31 Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
There is no upright man or woman, we all have flaws. Whether it be anger, impatience, doubt, despair, fear or other aspects like unfaithfulness, bitterness or other specific things. At the end of the day you don’t find. Whatever happens finds you, because it has already been done. If you search, you will find because whatever you have searched was to be so. Just as when you look up a question to a problem you will most likely find it on Google. Some won’t be on Google, and for those you must look within. But you must do so with the guidance of God because it’s a very dark path, easy to fall. Perhaps it won’t be what you’re looking for, but it can all serve as a lesson.
Meaningless to what end? Solomon is saying that at the end of life, if there is only death, then everything done in life is meaningless. If at the end of this life is only death then all our toil (whether good or bad, lazy or diligent, wise or foolish) is all meaningless, without purpose. We are no better than animals who would reap the same fate though having sown nothing. But if at the end of life is eternal life, then everything is meaningful. If at the end of life there is a hope to reap what has been sown in life, then everything is meaningful. If there is a next life with God in eternity then all of our toil (done good, diligent, and wise) will not have been in vain. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 That’s why our hope is in eternity, that’s why all of our work is to accumulate heavenly gain/treasure. But if we toil for earthly gain/treasures/possessions/pleasures then it is all truly meaningless as it will all be destroyed with fire in the end. “Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Luke 12:33-34 That’s why our focus is so important. It’s through focus on the joy set before Him that Christ endured the cross. It’s through focus on the kingdom that our toil is not in vain. Let everything you do be for the glory/obedience of Jesus. Keep thine eye single. Keep your focus/attention/priority 100% on God. “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 Commit to Him all of your plans, all of your toil, and all of your results/blessings on earth and He will establish your fruits in heaven. (Prov 16:3, 1 Cor 2:9, 1 Peter 1:3-4, and Matthew 25:34 ) In Jesus is our purpose, in Jesus is our meaning: “Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.” Ecclesiastes 12:13

The final verse contradicts everything said before it. Why should we fear God and keep his commandments, and likewise fear the judgement that comes with it, if life is meaningless in the first place and nothing is new under the sun?
@@BarabbasTheRedeemed Temporal life, the point is that no matter what you gain in this life you will lose it in the end and be left with nothing but the account of the life you lived on the day of judgement. Life is a short temporary moment that will echo into eternity based upon the judgment of the Lord. This wouldn’t make sense without the promise of a resurrection through Jesus Christ and a final day of judgement.
@@ShunyataShalendra Bible app or gateway has multiple narrations for the entire Bible in every translation. The one I use is David Suchet for the NIV translation.
I use NIV for these because it’s easier for people not acquainted with old English to understand. I personally love KJV but my greatest desire for these videos is for people who may have otherwise never read or heard the gospel to hear and be inspired to seek God sincerely.
I listen driving or sleep to it. It would please Jah if you pray before a study, if you have a friend it's really fun to meditate on God's word, I like to figure out how can I apply it in real life. Then close up with prayer. Then God will reward your efforts.
Sorry about that, I try to keep the music at an acceptable level. It does overpower the narrator sometimes. I’ll try and keep that in mind for further videos. God bless.

But if at the end of life is eternal life, then everything is meaningful. If at the end of life there is a hope to reap what has been sown in life, then everything is meaningful. If there is a next life with God in eternity then all of our toil (done good, diligent, and wise) will not have been in vain.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9
That’s why our hope is in eternity, that’s why all of our work is to accumulate heavenly gain/treasure.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Luke 12:33-34
That’s why our focus is so important.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:17-18
Commit to Him all of your plans, all of your toil, and all of your results/blessings on earth and He will establish your fruits in heaven. (Prov 16:3, 1 Cor 2:9, 1 Peter 1:3-4, and Matthew 25:34 )
In Jesus is our purpose, in Jesus is our meaning:
“Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.”
Ecclesiastes 12:13

“He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal. If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.”
@@Dead_Men_Come_Alive amen in jesus mighty name
Question how do you make these if you don’t mind me asking like how’d you get the voice and then the books to just lay out?
No problem at all! I use Bible gateways NIV translation and use OBS to record the audio straight off me desktop. Then I use Shotcut to add the music, and adjust levels, add reverb etc.

is the voice from the holy bible app?
It's a narratin of the NIV translation by David Suchet. I got it from BibleGateway.com but it is on the Bible app also.
Painting?
The Gentleman's Dream painted in 1650 by Antonio de Pereda.

Music is too loud. Good music though.
The word meaningless in Hebrew is more accurately translated to ephemeral. Let that sink in…

James 4:14
“Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.”
Do you have only voice for this?
@@ShunyataShalendra Bible app or gateway has multiple narrations for the entire Bible in every translation. The one I use is David Suchet for the NIV translation.
@@Dead_Men_Come_Alive appreciate you, bless you for your efforts
Man I wish the voice over was kjv
Why don’t you use kjv ?
I use NIV for these because it’s easier for people not acquainted with old English to understand. I personally love KJV but my greatest desire for these videos is for people who may have otherwise never read or heard the gospel to hear and be inspired to seek God sincerely.
@@Dead_Men_Come_Alive Absolute legend ✊️
Should I listen to this, or read the actual bible idk?
@@UranicDrop I like to listen when driving or while I'm working. It's not a good substitute for Bible study though in my opinion. God bless!
I listen driving or sleep to it. It would please Jah if you pray before a study, if you have a friend it's really fun to meditate on God's word, I like to figure out how can I apply it in real life. Then close up with prayer. Then God will reward your efforts.
Music too loud
Sorry about that, I try to keep the music at an acceptable level. It does overpower the narrator sometimes. I’ll try and keep that in mind for further videos. God bless.

if you are interested in Ecclesiastes you should look for the variety of videos of rabbis elaborating about. This video is not about the real thing described in hebrew bible. I hate life.
@@mrmike7965
So do I, but I have found peace knowing that there is more than this life to hope for. What we all search for isn’t found in this life so we never find peace in it.
John 12:25.
"Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life"
Then hate it. Don't blame it.
The Good News is that Christ Jesus died for our sins and established a connection from man to God. Through doing this it bridges us to God who is Love . And remember the 1 Corinthians Bible verse where it states. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” He Loves you More than anyone and always got your back when your in trouble, just let him know, and give these thoughts to him and He will set your paths straight. Like what it said in the video there is a time and season for everything under the sun, so it shouldn’t be forever.
Wish You the best and hope You are doing well
