She was such a good sport & beautiful! 💗 I think as we get older, the lighter colors work better for our complexion. At least that’s what I have discovered for me at 69 yrs. Like you I just want to change styles and colors whenever. So much easier. If you are married Im curious how your husband took the news when you told him you were going to do a buzz cut and get on with wigs. Sorry I don’t mean to pry. I only half jokingly said something to my husband about making the same move. No response. He probably thinks I won’t do it.. tr,he, he and after 50 yrs of marriage come September he doesn’t know me as well as he thinks 😉

I have androgenic alopecia so my hair has been thinning since my mid 20s and I really should have started wearing wigs when I was at least 40 but I didn't until I was 51. I think my hubs never even really knew my hair was thin because I had the ritual of putting in hair fibers and extensions plus I colored my bio hair. Working at home for a brief time in 2020 it was pretty obvious that my bio hair was beyond help, it was turning a mousy gray and white at the temples and the texture was so different and super thin! I researched for about 6 months before I bought my first wig and then when my wigs arrived, I just put it on and played with it. I took selfies and sent to my sisters and they were like "it looks like your real hair"! So I walked out in the living room to show my hubs and daughter and I'm like nobody is going to know. He was like "give me a minute cuz you look like your sister"! hahaha 🤣🤣 He never tried to talk me out of it, just said that if it was him he wouldn't wear a wig, and I said but it's NOT you, it's me and this is how I feel! So that was it. After some time had passed he was like y'know your hair looks better than everyone else's and he really embraced my wig wearing. He still wasn't keen on me buzzing my head but about a year later he was out of town for the weekend and I was so sick and tired of looking like the crypt keeper with my wispy bio hair that I buzzed it all off and didn't tell him. Then one morning in the bathroom he was like I see you buzzed your hair off and I was like yeah, my body, my choice and laughed and he laughed and that was it! So all is good! I know everyone is difference, but I truly believe that your hubs will understand and you may just have to give him a little time to adjust to the new you! xoxo 🥰🥰😘😘

That’s a great idea Beth! You definitely should contact the activity director at your moms assisted living facility and ask to do a wig show! As a nurse I’ve worked many yrs in assisted living communities and nursing homes and I’m telling you this would be so exciting for both you and the residents cuz it’s something different (bingo is cool and all but can get boring sometimes lol) Btw Carolyn looks gorgeous in everything but the longer styles make her look 10-15 yrs younger imo 😃 I really enjoyed watching this vid. You didn't say if her own hair is colored or not but she has a nice head of hair but my favorite wigs on her is Sunset, Ce Ce in the Capri color and she did look cute in the pixie, too. I wasn't too keen on Kate but Ce Ce was stunning on her. Not that she can't wear longer lengths but it has to be the right style for her face. Like you I just want to change styles and colors whenever. So much easier. If you are married Im curious how your husband took the news when you told him you were going to do a buzz cut and get on with wigs. Sorry I don’t mean to pry. I only half jokingly said something to my husband about making the same move. No response. I have androgenic alopecia so my hair has been thinning since my mid 20s and I really should have started wearing wigs when I was at least 40 but I didn't until I was 51. I think my hubs never even really knew my hair was thin because I had the ritual of putting in hair fibers and extensions plus I colored my bio hair. Working at home for a brief time in 2020 it was pretty obvious that my bio hair was beyond help, it was turning a mousy gray and white at the temples and the texture was so different and super thin! I researched for about 6 months before I bought my first wig and then when my wigs arrived, I just put it on and played with it. I took selfies and sent to my sisters and they were like "it looks like your real hair"! So I walked out in the living room to show my hubs and daughter and I'm like nobody is going to know. He was like "give me a minute cuz you look like your sister"! hahaha 🤣🤣 He never tried to talk me out of it, just said that if it was him he wouldn't wear a wig, and I said but it's NOT you, it's me and this is how I feel! So that was it. After some time had passed he was like y'know your hair looks better than everyone else's and he really embraced my wig wearing. He still wasn't keen on me buzzing my head but about a year later he was out of town for the weekend and I was so sick and tired of looking like the crypt keeper with my wispy bio hair that I buzzed it all off and didn't tell him. Then one morning in the bathroom he was like I see you buzzed your hair off and I was like yeah, my body, my choice and laughed and he laughed and that was it! So all is good! I know everyone is difference, but I truly believe that your hubs will understand and you may just have to give him a little time to adjust to the new you! xoxo 🥰🥰😘😘

I'm going to be 76 in November. I have been wearing wigs for about 20 years just for fun. I have plenty of my own bio hair but I love wearing wigs! Friends never know who will arrive when we meet! 😂
That is amazing and I LOVE that! It took me losing my hair to androgenic alopecia before I started wearing wigs and the only thing I'm mad about is that I waited so long! I LOVE wigs and I'm having so much FUN getting the styles and colors that I always wanted but could never achieve! 💗💗💗

That’s a great idea Beth! You definitely should contact the activity director at your moms assisted living facility and ask to do a wig show! As a nurse I’ve worked many yrs in assisted living communities and nursing homes and I’m telling you this would be so exciting for both you and the residents cuz it’s something different (bingo is cool and all but can get boring sometimes lol) Btw Carolyn looks gorgeous in everything but the longer styles make her look 10-15 yrs younger imo 😃 I really enjoyed watching this vid. I thought about having a max number of people to pre-register so that I can know lengths, styles and colors ahead of time. You didn't say if her own hair is colored or not but she has a nice head of hair but my favorite wigs on her is Sunset, Ce Ce in the Capri color and she did look cute in the pixie, too. I wasn't too keen on Kate but Ce Ce was stunning on her. Not that she can't wear longer lengths but it has to be the right style for her face.
