    I love this shit so much. The first love of my life was baseball. The older I get (and I'm just 25) the more I feel like baseball is dying, certainly nationally. I feel that it's a 2 part problem. Pace of play, and the suppression of player personalities.
    Tim Anderson, Bryce Harper, Juan Soto, Trevor Bauer... guys like them should be celebrated. MLB needs to promote these players more and more and allow their personalities to shine through and draw people on.
    It's a shame this show isn't on network television in addition to this, where millions more could see it. Thank y'all for giving me an opportunity to learn about these players off the field and grow attached to them as people.
    I hope he blisters every team in the league, aside from my Rangers. Good luck Tim!

  • @jkatz1303
    @jkatz1303 4 года назад +1

    So they just dgaf about playing at the field of dreams? As an Iowa native I took a little disrespect to that one lol. FoD may not be the most entertaining baseball movie, but it’s a classic. A truly historic site they have, and to hear literal MLB players say they don’t care about playing there... seems like maybe they’re a little full of themselves but that’s just me

    • @growing.grounds4054
      @growing.grounds4054 4 года назад +4

      These guys have had their personalities suppressed and guys like tim Anderson gets hIt with A BOAT LOAD OF FLACK so this field of dream which I haven't seen either but sounds like a whitewashed baseball movie. I do think he should be more open to watching it and learning more because he is actually playing in the game. He can't get too excited about it because of those facts.

    • @jkatz1303
      @jkatz1303 4 года назад +1

      Drew Sims that’s not the point really. The point is that the MLB is hosting a game at a historic baseball site. Like the movie or not, it should be an honor to have the chance to play a game at the actual movie site. It’s a baseball landmark. When guys say “I don’t care to play there” it makes them come off as a “I’m all about myself” kind of person, and from what hear and see from Tim Anderson, he’s that type of guy. The game is for the fans, the players, the entire game of baseball. It’s much more than just a game in some cornfield for a lot of people

    • @growing.grounds4054
      @growing.grounds4054 4 года назад +1

      @@jkatz1303 that's no the point to you but who is to say what these guys should take to heart and what not to..

    • @jkatz1303
      @jkatz1303 4 года назад

      Drew Sims I mean they’re playing in the majors living the dream of thousands of kids across the country. To say “I don’t give a damn” about a highlighted game such as the field of dreams kinda sounds a bit disrespectful. I have no problem with them not being the most excited about the game, but to literally say you don’t care about it, who in their right mind would think that isn’t disrespectful?

    Field of Dreams is the perfect example of why many sports fans don't watch baseball. It's a corny movie that unintentionally celebrates the "whites only" era of the sport. It's "sanctity of game" ridiculousness. I love baseball, but it's not holy and/or angelic.

      You just don’t act like it’s game 7 of the World Series in the 4th inning of a scoreless game in April. For that, you wear one in the ass. Nothing personal, that’s just not a home run that needs to be pimped. And because of that you shouldn’t act like a bitch and want to fight about it. Take your base and shut the fuck up. Smile at the pitcher on your way if you want to thank them for the free pass and let them know they didn’t hurt you. Bad thing is a different royals pitcher hit him fully on accident later in the year with a change up (or maybe slipped one behind him, can’t remember) and got tossed from the game due to “history.” If TA didn’t make it a big deal back in April, nobody would have continued talking about it, that accidental pitch would have been thought of as the accident it was, and baseball would have been just fine. Adding drama is not the same as adding entertainment.
