Dingo are not Feral. They are native to Australia. When a genome study released results they are probably a subspecies of wolf, or just a little removed depending on which expert u ask.
Technically are feral Dog, just not a recent feral population, and are a very much needed predator. They are an ancient neolithic breed, brought to Australia from South-East Asia by humans, humans played a part in their morphological appearance, they are (Canis familiarus). Dingo Dog share ancestry with a South-East Asian Dogs, look into Kintamani Dog, and the Bali Street Dogs responsible for their creation, all classed as (Canis familiarus). [QUOTE] A genetic study indicates that the Kintamani dog is native to Bali and was derived from Bali street dogs. The Bali street dogs are most closely aligned with the Australian dingo, more distantly related to AKC recognized breeds of Asian origin but not those of European origin. Therefore, the Kintamani dog was developed from Balinese dogs with little loss of genetic diversity. [UNQUOTE]
@@Murdaman-qu1ti There ancestry is from a population of Asian pariah dog, that are classified as (Canis familiarus), New Guinea singing dogs and Dingo dogs, sit in the clade of Asian dog breeds, they are a isolated feral land breed, they tame easier then wolves, as show by the way native Australians that would collect and keep them as of when they wanted to, (any animal that was once domestically ownd by humans, but is now reverted to a wild state is feral, City pigeon, wild pigs in America and Australia, Domestic cats world wide, Domestic horses etc, still hold the same scientific names as there fully domestic counterparts). Based on there isolation, and the fact they made it to Australia before agriculture, if i was to rank them higher than (Canis familiarus), i would put them as (Canis familiarus dingo) so once domestic now wild, not (Canis dingo) mother nature didn't fully created them, humans started them off, humans took them past being wolves, it's not fully agreed where New Guinea singing dogs and Dingo dogs sit, all scientific names (Canis lupus dingo), (Canis dingo), (Canis familiarus), (Canis familiarus dingo) are all used by different people, it isn't fix because they can't fully decide. Based on the fact they sit in the clade of the Asian domestic dog breeds, to me they are a neolithic ancient breed, like the Mongolian hourse that is said to have been domesticated in Asian 10,000 years ago for meat, and has been started to be ridden around 4,000 years ago, they are feral that are collected when needed, and still hold the scientific name (Equus caballus) Domestic horse. New Guinea singing dogs and Dingo dogs are in the Asian dog breed clade making them closely related to Chow-chow, Akira, Shiba-inu, Shar-pei etc more so to the Bali street dogs and the Kintamani dog. For me they are still to close to (Canis familiarus) to be (Canis dingo), so they are (Canis familiarus) if i was to give them a status above that, it would be ecotypes of New Guinea singing dogs and Dingo dog (Canis familiarus dingo), this would be enough to give them protection, as it would part them from Domestic dog (Canis familiarus familiarus).
Um, coyote is taller and can weight more than a dingo and can out run and out maneuver a pit bull and kill and eat one too. Don’t underestimate a coyote, it can hop a wall as tall as you are. It is a very clever hunter.
@@lindajohnston552 The can jump two and half metres high. I worked for the Department of Agriculture in Western Australia and the dingo enclosures had to be 3 metres high. I really appreciate how you brought up the Epicyon haydeni vs dire wolf (Aenocyon dirus) match up. It’s an intriguing fight which I believe would be won by the Epicyon. Basically, it is a super heavyweight boxer vs a cruiserweight boxer. The dire wolf may have weighed as much as 220 lbs (max) but the Epicyon would have weighed 300 lbs & more. Too much size & weight advantage in my book. Epicyon was called EPIC for a reason, lol! WildCiencias, this is a Fantasy Fight that you should really consider doing.

I think depends on the area, farms and rural areas they’re more timid because humans won’t hesitate to kill them especially farmers, in some areas of America some farmers will shoot to kill any coyote they see around their property
Coyote would won 9 times out of 10 regardless of individual. They have one of the nastiest bites of the canids, scissoring and ripping flesh. You don't want any dog going up against a coyote, even if the dog is huge cause it could be fatally injured even if it gets the better of the coyote. They are smart as fuck and somehow grow in population the more you try to exterminate them. Dingos don't stand a chance
I think y’all forget Dingoes are not domesticated dogs..they are wild Australian dogs closely related to Aisan wolves..Dingoes are 3rd-4th wild canids adapter wolves and African wild dogs
Coyotes are smarter but Dingoes are stronger look at their prey animals. So maybe slightly in favour of the coyote but it would be very close. Mice and rabbits for the Coyote usually. Wombats and Kangaroos for the Dingo.
I’ve heard that dingoes are actually the smartest of canids. Having the second largest brain size compared to body size of all *Carnivora* spotted hyena being the first.
we had a dingo who owned us! smart, cunning, resourceful, killed 20 chooks without a sound in less than 5 minutes, but being very loyal was willing to share it with us.
My family live on a farm in Australia and we have lost multiple big fighting breed dogs to the dingoes, people have been killed by dingoes here it's a fact .....most of the time our dogs come back in one piece but not always the case. And let me tell you there is nothing scarier than the sound of hundreds of dingoes howling at night taunting you and your dogs, you can't see them but you know they're very close. I have never seen a coyote but they would have to be tougher than most dogs in order to beat a dingo.
for the most part, a farm with guardian type dogs (like a great pyrenees) would be enough of a deterrent to keep coyotes away. Possibly because they have historically shared territory and been prey of wolves, they are much more timid around bigger domestic dogs. though they definitely go for small dogs and cats. People in California even started having their small dogs wear huge spike collars if they let them outside to protect from coyotes. but I agree, Dingoes seem the more formidable of the two by far IMO. Hearing them howl in big packs like that would be very scary!!
Everyone in the comments is hurt for some reason lol the coyote 1 v 1 would mangle the dingo … no contest… in Massachusetts I’ve seen coyotes size of a large German shepherd if not bigger …
So at the beginning with the measurements you say coyote is smaller than the dingo but at the end you say the opposite, I think you need to rewatch your own video as you have confused yourself.
Coyotes have bread with wolves and dogs to produce fertile offspring. They are very closely related. If given the opportunity, they would probably mate with dingoes.
there are dingoes in New South Wales, I see one every day at work. Also dingoes are not the largest Australian carnivores, that award with go to the salt water croc (unless you mean mammals)
I've waited for this video. By the way, the part of the video when comparing them to German Shepards shows a Black-Backed Jackal, not a Coyote. I agree that it would be 60/40 in favor of the Coyote. Coyotes are antagonistic toward domestic dogs of any breed and there is even a video of one attacking a Pitbull which happened in Chula Vista, CA, not far from me.
Pitbulls would savage a Coyote, Coyote's are frail and cowardly compared to Dogs and Wolves, Typically only small dogs can be overtaken by a Coyote. Most Coyotes would run from a medium sized dog and up unless they are desperate or infected by rabies.
We have American dingos in the Carolinas. They’re descended from Asian wild dogs that came over with the natives. Coyotes don’t tangle with them and when they show up to prey on the geese that nest near my home, coyotes stop hunting there.

I have a South Carolina Dingo, the American equivalent to the Australian Dingo, and there's no way even an Eastern Coyote (mixed with Wolf), would stand a chance against him. I have an Alaskan Husky with whom my dingo is best packmates (she is Siberian, Akita, and Wolf), and a wild Wolf wouldn't even stand up to either one of them.
Plenty of Oriental videos out there showing fights between mantises and numeous other arthropods.... no need to make a hypothetical video when the real deal is already out there....
I hate coyotes. They're insanely fast, agile, and intelligent and are exceptionally good at exploiting dumb humans. They're everywhere where I live. There's more than enough food for them in the wild, but 75% of their diet comes from human sources where I live, including pets. Three of the bastards even tried sneaking up on and surrounded my 18 month old son and I while we were looking at xmas lights in our neighborhood.
Dingoes are honestly the most misunderstood creatures here in Australia, I have two vids on my profile of my beautiful dingo boys (Loki and Bandit) and now I have a female pup 😌 , - yes we can have them as pets in my state for anyone who's wondering and no they are not dogs! They can not eat dog food nor digest grain, the females are the alphas in a pack, they play more "cat" like than "dog", they howl at dusk, dawn and to sirens - bandit tho howls to the guitar 😌 annnnd they are the biggest sooks needing plenty of time and space, they love cuddles, oh and the need for high fences cause oh boy they can jump 😅🥰
Ok right, so I highly disagree. A dingo is more lean and agile, which will give the coyote an edge in the fight. The dingo is also larger, with larger teeth and jaw and has more power, leading to a stronger bite. So the dingo will definitely win.

I live in the United States specifically the Carolinas and Eastern coyotes are large and form descent size packs. During large full moons I hear at least 10 coyotes howling.
I've heard the eastern yotes could be classified as "coywolves"....cross between wolves and coyotes.... they're larger than regular coyotes.
"coytoes" found east of the Mississippi river are actually coywolves (cross between the critically endangered red wolf and coytoe to be exact) , they can get up to 70-80 pounds in some areas but usually average 50-60 pounds
Coyote: Can survive endless falls into canyons, while holding up signs saying "Not again!" Strong line of credit at Acme.
Dingo: Can eat babies.
Seems pretty even.

[UNQUOTE]
@@zebedeemadness2672 *canis lupus dingo* not familiarus. Familiarus is a domestic dog👌🏾💯
Dingoes can run 60km/hour, travel 40km a day, jump two metres high and successfully climb trees. They are also known to have killed people.
@@lindajohnston552 The can jump two and half metres high. I worked for the Department of Agriculture in Western Australia and the dingo enclosures had to be 3 metres high.
At the top was barbed wire that sloped inwards. I have seen the dingoes reach that barbed wire.
They had to be sorted into pairs, one dominant, one submissive in each enclosure
Lol, Coyotes aren't killing and eating a legitimate Pitbull. I've seen APBTs take down large wolves. As far as Dogs vs. Coyotes, Akitas have destroyed entire Coyote packs on multiple occasions that I am personally familiar with.

Coyote would won 9 times out of 10 regardless of individual. They have one of the nastiest bites of the canids, scissoring and ripping flesh. we had a dingo who owned us! smart, cunning, resourceful, killed 20 chooks without a sound in less than 5 minutes, but being very loyal was willing to share it with us.
A Dingo would win easily, their bigger, stronger and they hunt bigger game like Kangaroo's which Coyotes don't come close to preying on

How did the pitbull fare? They are no pushovers.
